One of the best Korean fried chicken in Sydney – super crispy and juicy for a good affordable price. The other dishes are alright, but would only go back for chicken.
This is probably the best korean fried chicken that I have ever had. I highly recommend this to all my friends. Snow cheese + Soy Chicken are a good combo as it gives you a mix of saucy + dry chicken. I recommend getting chicken with the bone for extra juice :)
Delicious fried chicken and other Korean snacks and dishes. We ordered all kinds of different fried chicken - I definitely recommend the snow cheese one and the soy one. Along with that, the kimchi cheese pancake, hot pot and black bean noodles were also a stand out.
Me and my friends went here religiously during high school just to eat Korean chicken, before it became super popular, this was the best chicken around. I came here at least once a month hahahah
I’m not sure about the name of this shop. Is it ICG, the sparrow’s mill, or two together. Anyway it is a famous Korean restaurant on Liverpool street.
We went there on a weekday evening. We queued for around 15 minutes to get a table for 4 people. The good thing is that during waiting you could place your order so that the kitchen could prepare in advance.
🍲[Spicy Mixed Meat and Vegetable Stew] $45
It is a super big hot pot which is full enough to cater two or three people. The hotpot consists of vegetables, tofu, instant noodles and so on. The soup itself is not very spicy. The food is fresh and nice.
🍗[Original Fried Chicken] and [Garlic Soy Sauce]
Fried chicken is also their signature. There’re a lot of flavours to choose from. The original one is quite similar to the one I had in other Korean restaurants. Garlic Soy Sauce tastes sweet and is not very spicy.
🍚[Bulgogi] $18
This is a sizzling stone pot with rice. If you mix them together it would be very delicious. The spicy-pork gets combined with rice and vegetables.
💁♂️[Service]
The service is neither satisfying nor unsatisfying. I’ve seen a few people complaining about the service in the reviews. From my experience the service is OK, but staff is not as friendly as other restaurants.
Escaped the rain here and ordered the seafood soft tofu stew. The place was generally busy and packed, and the food came in around 15 minutes. The banchan variety is quite small compared to other korean restaurants I've been to.
There was a generous amount of tofu and the amount of seafood was okay. I would've liked maybe more variation and more octopus/squid. The ratio of tofu and seafood felt leaned more to the tofu side. The spice level was comfortable enough for me to not need water. Price was $16 which is average I would say.
Overall, doesn't stand out much. A decent, rounded restaurant with solid tasting food. Nothing bad and its not the most amazing thing ever, but still great food.
Was on a stroll to find Korean fried chicken and this place caught our attention during lunch time since there was a line of people waiting outside to be seated. If there is a line, it must be good and it sure was ! We got the snow cheese boneless chicken, bulgogi bibimbap and kimchi soondaboo. Korean dishes were average and there was nothing special, the broth of the soup looked like it would be spicy but it was completely the opposite from spicy. The chicken however was amazing, we always get boneless chicken because we like to enjoy the chicken without the bones (personal preference) but i highly recommend giving the snow cheese a go. Would come back again to try their other chicken dishes
My previous experiences of the Incredible Chicken franchise at Eastwood weren't the most exciting, and has always left me buffled why they are so hugely popular. Luckily the Sparrow's Mill is much more then the fried chicken. In fact the braised short beef ribs were delicious, the ribs meat were so soft, thick marinade soy sauce, a bit of sweetness & not too salty, perfect with rice. As to fried chicken, we got the sweet & spicy which were not spicy at all, the sauce itself was nice, but same problem with the chicken, not marinated through out, so some pieces were just dry & bland inside. Would be back for the non-fried chicken menu.
Great fried chicken at a decent price - roughly the same price as its competitors. Possibly the best Korean fried chicken chain in Sydney. Fried chicken has been consistently piping hot when served. Service speed is also quite decent considering how busy the restaurant is on a regular basis with many group dinners.
Such amazing fried chicken that we went back here after eating at a different korean restaurant just for the fried chicken!!! Keep up the good work!! 😚
A quaint, yet bustling restaurant in the heart of the central district. The food was quality, flavoursome and fresh. The menu was fairly vast and has a little bit for everyone. Would very much recommend for a social dinner and drinks to share
The kimchi soft tofu pork stew stole the show. Really delicious! Snow cheese chicken was yummy as well.
The tteopbokki - i like it more in Sparrow's Mill Express!
Delicious Korean fried chicken, they are one of the top Korean fried chicken in Sydney! Chickens were juicy and crispy, the sauces were nice too. I’d recommend bookings when dining in a large group as they were busy when we dine on a weeknight.
Had dinner in a very cold night. The foods were tasty and good price. The snow cheese chicken is to die for but not really good for anyone who on diet lol
The best Korean chicken. I can't agree more with other reviews. The Sparrow's Mill has many varieties of the Korean chickens. It was my first time here and definitely will come back 😍😍😍
Not bad. I ordered the lunch box. A girl can hardly finish it because the amount is generous.
