The marmite prawns was delicious. We enjoyed the cereal tofu and ayam goreng mentega too. We will be back.
Wow we order ordered three very good dishes! Kow tiao with big juicy prawns, vege tomyum soup that activates your taste buds! Strongly recommend golden sand fried eggplant (they do prawns and pumpkins too). The portion is big and it is super exotic with salted egg and curry leaves. Xihuahua š¶ shouted since she got her pay of the month.
Excellent and efficient service. The nasi lemak served with chicken curry and the roti served with beef rendang were amazing. The lamb ribs were over cooked and oily - hence I scored 4 stars.
Very fast service, the place is very close to my workplace so it's very convenient. I went at 1pm and it was busy! That's a good sign. I had their panang curry, the portion is a little small but it was quite tasty. Would come back as I want to try their laksa and other dishes
A great and convenient spot for lunch with friends! This is definitely a restaurant thatās value for money and pretty good authentic Malaysian dishes.
We ordered the Char Kway Teow, Seafood Laksa, and Roti Canai. The Roti Canai was so addictive and fluffy!
Cheap as chips. Lots of great meal deals and combos. BYO which is a bonus. Huge selection of authentic Malaysian food. Convenient and close to the city.
We have been going here every Saturday for many years, best Malaysian restaurant we have been to.
Their food is delicious, tasty, fresh and good portion sizes.
Definitely worth the visit, try the crispy egg salad, yum.
Best hainanese chicken rice ever !!! The flavour of the chicken and the fragrant rice are absolutely amazing. Portion is generous. Desserts are amazing too. Definitely come back and try other dish. So so in love with the hainanese chicken btw.
Authentic Malaysia food and it is really a good choice when you only want to grab something to eat!
Service is quick and the dishes are quite affordable!
Highly recommend their laksa! It's really filling!
Stewed beef is another good choice too!
Fired vegetable! I am a half vegetarian and fish-lover! so this place is a paradise for me
This is probably the best place for decent Malaysian food near uni. The Hainanese Chicken was good, the chilli sauce was just ok and the rice was pretty authentic. However, the soup was slightly too salty. The Green Curry Chicken was nice and authentic despite the staff appearing to be chinese?
Overall, they come at an average price of $12, and are quite filling.
A hiidem Malaysian Chinese restaurant in lane way of Broadway. I have visited this place many times, before and after the change in chefs. This restaurant has a casual vibe, not hawker style but also not like those wannabe up market Malaysian restaurants which charges an arm and a leg. Malacca Straits is popular for students and local staff and one of the long time restaurants in the precinct. The Har Mee has a strong prawn flavour, and recommend the angel prawns and ayam percik. This chicken curry has tender pieces and strong aromas. The chik ku teh (which we usually order as well) is addictive. The let down is the rice - it's a big hard, but is ok if you eat it with the sauces. Overall recommend this restaurant for a casual lunch or dinner. šš
Portion of rice and noodles are big and has an authentic taste to it, but the Roti Canai is not great, especially that it costs $5 each but it tasted like itās bought from a grocery which sells frozen manufactured Roti Canai. Restaurant atmosphere is nice as well, a nice place to rest and eat.
Do not judge this place by its location (as it's essentially in a courtyard area of an apartment building). I'm not local to the Broadway area so took a chance walking here as I'd seen some reviews online. Boy did this place not dissapoint. Ordered the Hainan chicken - which although not Malaysian was perfect nonetheless, the nasi goreng, roti with beef rendang and a special prawn dish. Cannot wait to go back and try some of the more unique dishes on the menu.
The laksa at this place is so delicious, easily my favourite laksa in Sydney. Iāve previously read that this establishment makes their own coconut milk, which would explain the top-notch quality of their soup. Havenāt tried anything else on the menu, I am too loyal to the laksa. Chicken laksa is $15 and the beef variation is $16.80
Had chicken laksa on a rainy day, full of flavour and almost finish the soup! Coffee susu - while I expected it to be sweet I personally felt like it was overdone, way too sweet compared to a typical malaysia hawker coffee.
Delicious foods with very good price and generous portion. The owner is very nice and friendly. Service is awesome, all my orders came quick. Definitely will be my favorite resto.
Great authentic Malaysian cuisine. Enjoyed every dish we ordered. Highly recommended.
