Authentic Northern Chinese home made food
Great quality food at very affordable prices. It gets very busy during lunch and dinner so don't be surprised if there's a wait! My favourite dishes are the pan fried dumplings and chive pancakes. Portions for the noodles are huge so you're better off sharing. They allow BYO at a per person fee but it's only a few dollars! Great casual eats place.
Rated 5 star for the value of money. Cheap and quality food. Their noodles are freshly made and al denote. No atmosphere though, it’s basically like a very old food court. Service is acceptable.
I was meeting friends here and was first to arrive. It is so down market in appearance I thought I must be in the wrong place. But don’t let appearances turn you away... the food is excellent. I particularly enjoyed the pork mince pastry, something I had never had before. The hand made noodles and dumplings were great too. The service is friendly and fast. Definitely not fine dining, but excellent food, and value.
A great place for handmade noodles etc though the last time I was there I got some weird chilli variant of fried noodles and it was aweful. Just stick to basics and it is good experience.
Handmade noodles and dumplings inside this little ghetto shop.
Inside you can see Auntie's making the noodles and dumplings so you can be sure it's handmade. During peak time it gets really busy so if you hate to wait .... Avoid peak times ...
Must order are the stir fry noodles, spicy chicken salad and their won tons. These are actually really good and tasty, though you need to share otherwise you will fall into a food coma!

My favourite cheap, good quality dumpling and stir fry joint in Sydney. 16 of the boiled pork and chive dumpling will fill you right up for a cheap price. The decor and seating is dingy but all part of the charm in my eyes. Get in there for a big, cheap feed.
Friends brought us there for a quick lunch and food was good. If you know about china chinese cuisine, you will know that most of it are more to the oily side. Delicious but very heavy hand on seasoning and oil. This was good, at least within my expectations. Must order the dish that comprises of their handmade noodles. The texture is so good! Food review individually in photos.
Good place to drink and eat healthy I love the dumplings and Noodles this place is a hit and miss you should try their spicy chilli chicken Pan fried dumplings this place is always packed Ambience is very good
Dumplings love, authentic experience, Sydney's top China dumplings experience. Good value and always busy!
PAN fried dumplings 4/5
Steam dumplings 3/5
Pan cake 3/5
I happened to walk by this place and marked it on my maps to visit on another day. Today I went there for lunch and ordered the stir fired beef noodles. I thought the beef was going to be more tender, but it was still good. People next to me were eating beef/chicken stew on rice they both looked delicious, and I plan to order a rice dish next time. Reasonable prices, large quantity.
I returned the following week and ordered the braised beef stir fry on rice.
Returned again another week for the braised eggplant and pan fried dumplings. The dumpling was so juicy squirted juice on to my shirt. No harm done.
So far everything I’ve ordered has been good. Freshly made and fast.
Service: 4.5/5 stars
- lady was pretty helpful, willing to answer questions in detail about what's in dishes, etc. and actually relayed my requests for the noodles to be thicker and not cooked too soft! Amazing for Chinese service
Noodle with Stir-Fried Lamb Topping: 4/5 stars
- noodles were thicker and not too soft as I feared, but also not on the level of Chinese Noodle Restaurant's in bounciness or chew. Obviously not as pulled/high in gluten; a shame
- flavour was reminiscent of a less smoky fried lamb noodles, and was quite tasty. The vegetables (capsicum, celery, tomato, onion) were well-cooked and -presented, but the lamb pieces were disappointingly stringy; they were significantly fatty and hence unsatisfying.
Conclusion: I've visited several times and the customer service is good a surprising majority of the time, which really makes me want to support the restaurant, but ultimately the food comes first; and after having had what's truly good, I just have to admit that this place is a tier under. I'm surprised other reviews mentioned the dumplings, because when I had them they were less flavourful and more artificial in texture, while the noodles lacked the texture (in both stir-fried, and mixed with topping forms) -- every dish just seemed to lack something. The only truly great dish is the eggplant in special sauce, which is done better here than anywhere else. Otherwise I'd recommend Chinese Noodle Restaurant in Haymarket (similar name, yes!), especially for anything involving dough.

Delicious food cooked quickly and great serving sizes as well. This was the first time I’ve visited and I’ll be back for sure. Their dumplings really are the best.
Great little no frills Chinese restaurant in the Town Hall area! The noodles and dumplings are handmade and taste delicious. It’s popular among the younger crowd and has affordable prices. Also, the chilli oil is pretty good!
Big portion, good taste and reasonable price. Will come back for sure. Space is limited. Be aware of not eating too much 😜
Good noodles, dumplings and other food. Prices are really good value and portions are a good size too. This place seems pretty unsuspecting but is honestly great value for money.
Always amazing food, especially the dumplings, meat pancake and braised eggplant. Note that it’s a bare bones place, expect to eat and get out with slightly sticky floors.
