It is amazing I forgot to take photos. Staff is friendly and the food satiate my south East Asian palate and it is comforting like coming home.

With an earthy woodish decor the food at is delightful and if you can’t decide the owner is happy to suggest a plethora of great dishes which just work together. Healthy and flavourful with spices and tastes you wouldn’t necessarily think of working together combine to make such great dishes. Can’t wait to go here again 😋

Great food and lots of variety too. I have tried most of the dishes and I've never been disappointed. Ideal for dine-in though takeaway is also an option.

Tasty food and warm service. Nothing over the top but just the essentials. Fresh food prepared on the spot. Veg packs a punch with amazing spices - serving sizes could be larger. More vegetarian options wouldn't hurt either, but that's personal preference. Something to try as an alternative to pub food

GREAT vegetarian options. Friendly staff. LOVE the bowls & plates - they're all wooden. Also noticed they have a fish meal (forgot the name) which translates to HOMOSEXUAL 👬

Had lunch here with my partner today and we both loved it. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was just delicious, the Lamb Tagine was to die for. Our two side salads the Watercress and Bean salads were simple but just delicious. We would both strongly recommend Lat Dior to everybody, especially if you have never eaten African food.

Love this place.  Simple, humble and friendly restaurant which serves great, hearty African food - stews, veggie dishes, lovely pancakey flatbreads all with a different twist.  Good place to eat pre-show as its near the Enmore Theatre.  Highly recommend. Good value too.

After buying a voucher for this place, it quickly hit me that I've been here ages ago... and I was disappointed. I remember finding the food bland. Alas, I've committed myself so off to Newtown we go. We rocked up with no booking and the place (which is quite tiny) was almost completely packed on a Sunday night. The layout meant when the restaurant was packed, you will most likley be squished into tables that are packed closely together. Our Groupon deal allowed us two side dishes, two mains, bread, rice and cous cous and two drinks. My wife chose Batansey - fried eggplant served with a mildly spiced tomato and onion sauce. The sauce and warm eggplant just melted in your mouth and was fantastic as a dip for the bread. I chose Lat Dior's Delight - green beans served with a blended celery sauce. This was our favourite of the night. So simple but such an explosion of freshness (just as their menu described). The beans are dull and bland but the celery sauce is sharp, fresh and tangy.. and when combined.. it was just fantastic. My wife loved the side dish of bread. It was slightly warm and worked well with the sides. The main my wife chose was the Sossou Gorgiguan which is fresh boneless fish, steamed with some mild African spices like netetou and some tamarind. The word gorgiguan in Wolof literally means homosexual... which markets as an interesting dish name. The fish was slightly dry to my liking and the serving size is quite small. I ended up choosing Varenga which is a mouth watering dish from Madagascar consisting of cubed beef marinated overnight with African spices, slightly fried and then steamed in the marinated sauce. The texture of the beef was the downfall of the dish for me. It's quite dry and jerky textured in a way... Two small sides of cous cous and white rice.... The drink choices consisted of coke or ginger beer. We both opted for the ginger drink just out of curiosity. The ginger flavour was quite potent but worked well with the meal. My biggest grip

Surprisingly Tasty & Interesting Dishes!. We've tried a couple of African restaurants previously and found the food to be quite bland and boring... but the meals at Lat-Dior were tasty, interesting and had the feel of good quality home cooking. We had a couple of different dishes and really liked them all, so the diners writing the bad reviews must have just gone on a bad day? Anyway, the waiter, who we assume was also the owner, was very polite, humble and friendly. It was also really nice to see that the lady cooking in the kitchen was in colourful traditional African costume. An all round great experience, which is why I'm writing this review!

I've been wanting to go to Lat Dior in Enmore for months. Literally months! African is something that I would very rarely eat simply as you don't find too many African restaurants in Sydney (and I don't think there are any in the Parramatta area). I've ha

Amazing and different flavors. They got a big menu with dishes very different from each other that got me wanting to go try every dish they have. I tried a few dishes so far and they were all perfect. Prices are quite reasonable. Host is very friendly.

Really different cuisine with an unusual twist. Staff were really friendly and authentic African. The portion sizes were good, quality was fresh and prices were very reasonable. Parking can be quite difficult in peak times so would recommend public transport on a Friday/Saturday night. The decor is nothing to look at and the overall restaurant is not that nice, i would definitely come back. Dont let the look of this restaurant turn you off as the food was great! The restaurant only holds roughly 8 tables so it is quite small.

Truly great service, and delicious food. As we were a group of 5 and wanted to try variety of dishes, we were recommended a banquet which not only hit the spot for everyone, but was very reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again.

I enjoyed it a lot - service was standoffish but that's not a problem - they were polite and helpful with our food questions and the dishes were delicious. The couscous and bean sides were really really good and the main dishes are satisfying. I didn't know what 'African' food was before I went but now I know that I like it
