One of the classic ramen restaurants in Sydney!
With Chashu bursting full of flavour and a broth that enhances each mouthful, you cannot go wrong with a classic pork ramen.
Even when it's hot in Sydney, you can absolutely STILL have ramen. The ramen featured in my photo is called a tsukemen, when the cold noodles are dipped into the broth. It’s a quite nice experience watch the broth drizzle with your noodle pull!
a hidden gem. great options and quality food. good lunch time spot in CBD, food comes out fast
This is the best ramen place ever! Generously full bowls of tasty ramen for a very reasonable price. I always leave here full and very satisfied.
Been here many times and loved it. Food was great and staff was friendly. The only thing I wish they would improve is the timing of serving the food. If you come in a group, someone’s order always comes way later than the others.
The small ramen shop in the middle of the office building, very busy at lunch time. I tried the chef recommendation ramen, but I didn’t notice there’s a ginger as a topping. So I can’t taste anything except the ginger 😭 Next time I’ll try another ramen..
Huge selection of ramen from tonkotsu's to shoyu's, and my personal favourite the tsukemen. Flavours are bold and not too overpoweringly salty as many talents can be. Quick and friendly service, this little place tucked away on a CBD main Street fills up quick at lunch and dinner time!
A few word to describe the place fast service, decent tasting Ramen (not authentic Japanese) & popular. The outlet is a famous little shop serving nice tasting ramen , my friend took me to the place on my last trip in late 2018. The service was great and so was the food. Would defiantly like to revisit.
Not sure it's actually authentic Japanese. There were quite a range to choose from, not just ramen, but also udon, soba, rice. My karami tonkotsu ramen, was good in general. Garlic taste in through the broth, a good cloudy tonkotsu. Had a good flavour. The noodles had good texture. A sufficient amount of toppings, but not particularly generous. Overall not a bad bowl.
What a place! Food was amazing, service was exceptional. I had gone there around 6 on a Saturday it was still pretty quite. However, it’ll live up the later in get into the night. Food was reasonably priced.
If you’re a ramen lover, it’s a must try!
I’ll definitely be back!
We had a great and extremely satisfying bowl of shoyu ramen at Menya today. Authentic and affordably priced in the CBD. Will definitely be back for more!
To start off, this place has so reasonably priced food and huge portions. The kaarage curry was the highlight for me, one of the best japanese curry I’ve ever had! The takoyaki seems to be freshly made as it was extremely hot and crispy, definitely would recommend ordering it. The tsuke men (dipping noodles) were so good, the broth just tasted amazing! Overall, this place is amazing and I’ll definitely be back.
Cosy ramen shop tucked under the bridge. It has a large variety of toppings and soup bases. It was all served very efficiently, piping hot and fresh. The noodles were a lovely texture. We tried the shoyu, miso and tonkotsu soups which were all great. The kaarage was very tasty too, the portions were quite generous.
Japanese ramen with thick broth and strong flavour.
Price range around $15 to $23. There's Jumbo size optional if you are ramen addicted.
There's special dinner just add $6 from main price and will received small portion japan curry/ salad/ beef bowl/ gyoza/ karage.
Worth to try.
This is our first meal since we came to Sydney, we ordered a double menya ramen and spicy beef noodle. I was satisfied not only with the quality of food, but also the service, staff are friendly 👏🏻
I previously went to the Menya in Chinatown and remember my experience being quite mediocre, so I went in this one with little expectations. But when I tried their Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen, it really blew me away. The broth was very refreshing and flavourful, the noodles were addictive and the meat was just insanely soft and melts in your mouth.
Turned out to be one of the best ramen I've had in a while. Highly recommend!!
Haven't been back for a long time and the quality is still as good as before. Tonkotsu was nicely made and the gyoza are well fried! Good quality
Service is good too, self serve water though.
One of the best tonkotsu ramens in Sydney, chewy noodle with clear, tasty pork broth, and succulent pork slice, impeccable !
Wish they could open on weekends
How good is this little gem?! We ordered a double size menya ramen (shoyu) and we were so full after (shared between 2 people). Food came pretty quick, great vibe and plenty of menu options. Will be back again!
