Situated in the bustling food court of 52 Martin Place is marketplace-inspired café Delisse which serves an array of fresh, authentic French style breakfast and lunch menu items. The windows are lined with the most vibrant range of baguettes, croissants, sandwiches, salads, pastries and mini desserts.

I dropped by delise for a takeaway coffee which was a little strong for my taste. However the service was friendly and prompt. They also had an attractive looking selection of sandwiches, bagels and baked goods. You can get a regular coffee and a pastry for $6.80 which isn't a bad deal. The location is the real plus with this cafe right near Wynyard station.
A favourite place of mine to pick up a quick and easy breakfast or a salad/sandwich for lunch. The desserts are delicious here and the salads and sandwiches are freshly made and taste great. Coffees here are pretty good too. This morning I picked up a Croque Monsieur and a Mocha. Both were very nice.
The focus here is on serving fresh, wholesome, French-inspired food that doesn't break the bank. For the working day grind, this means generously filled baguettes, hearty salads, soups, hot pies and quiches, as well as a mouth-watering variety of house-made French pastries, cakes and bread. Perfect for when you're looking for a fast, convenient, healthy lunch or a French sweet treat to break up the day, the philosophy of Delisse appeals well to the typical lunchtime office worker crowd. Service is quick and almost everything is made in-house. If there is one thing that you must try, it's their authentic, unique kouignettes - they're sure to blow your mind.
My sister invited me to Delisse for our most recent coffee date, as it was her favourite cafe near work. Delisse is located just a short walk from Martin Place station and is a great pit stop for a coffee or lunch on the go.
We ordered two skim cappuccinos and were quickly served. The coffee was delicious, very creamy and didn't require any sugar (a rare occurrence for me and my sweet tooth!).
While drinking our coffees my sister raved about Delisse, in particular their great $10 lunch deal in which you can chose two of the following - a bowl of soup, half a sandwich, a small salad or a quiche. My sister often gets the soup and salad combo. There is always four soups to pick from which means there's most likely something that'll suit your lunch-time craving.
This café does good, reasonably priced lunch combos, such as soup and salad, or soup and quiche. The quiche are always good, my experience with the soups has been more hit and miss.

Whilst fresh products are available quite easily in the suburbs during the weekends, sourcing them in the business district at an affordable price can be difficult on working days… And here comes the magic… “Let there be croissants!”

While the new Délisse flagship store isn’t breaking revolutionary ground, what with global chains like Délifrance being in operation for twenty-five years, it does have a demonstrable commitment to excellence that’s already winning fans. “ We tried to get the best thing in every category ,” explains owner Mathieu Thomas. Thought has gone into every aspect of the décor and produce selection, all the way down to a specially crafted coffee by Bay Coffee , meaning your Latte ($3.50) will compliment your morning croissant. It’s also the idea behind sticking Prosciutto di San Daniele into the Ham and Cheese Sandwich ($9.50) – which of course means baguette, imported from the motherland. Okay bread coming from France isn’t ideal, but the reasons cited by Thomas include stronger flour (more protein), and a French baking style which rests the dough for 13-hours. It holds up as chewy and flavoursome even in a moister Tarragon Chicken Sandwich ($9.50) incarnation. Package deals remove t
Love this little gem. This place certainly deserve more attention from the local office workers. Nice and friendly staffs there always welcome me when I visit every time. Had ordered several catering service there for office as well, very happy with the food and service. Recommended!
Great spot for a reasonably priced work lunch. Very tasty sandwiches using freshly baked bread. This is a spot I'll be returning to often especially as it has many options for sandwiches, wraps, quiches and salads.
Friendly service and yummy toastie, a perfect place for a quick and nutritious workday lunch.
The cakes aren't as good as when they first opened but the pastries are still light and flaky and the salads are excellent at lunch. Good variety of other options too, with soup, sandwiches, quiches, pies and bacon egg rolls. Open ridiculously early and handy to the train station.
The Clarence Street shop is on my morning walk from the bus stop to the office and their mini cakes, pasteries and coffee are just delicious! The perfect morsel to start your day, my favourite, the apple turnover.... Amazing and sooo fresh. Always busy and service is outstanding. I always trust a cafe that has customers there ordering, eating and enjoying and Delisse Clarence Street is bustling!
