First eat out in Aus this year. We chose this italian place for its handsome discount. The place is quiet bright and clean. Service is polite. I love the pizza oven!
Supreme pizza could use a big more oil and softer less dough to emphasize the flavor. Plenty of topping is nice. Xihuahua 🐶 tasted anchovies and isn’t sure about what it is.💆🏻
Mushroom risotto is creamy. Chicken is slightly tough though. Have it before it gets cold.
Caesar salad is ok. Nothing too special but plenty of ingredients in there.
Beef cannelloni is very homely. I enjoyed the beef chunks in there. They did not cook it enough and some pasta was uncooked inside which is a shame.
Had great time with Friends! :) Good food! Good ambience&services too. Love to come back
Pastabella was DIVINE. The food was the best I've ever had in Glebe. The lasagne was so beautiful and arrived around 15 mins after we ordered it. The herb bread pizza was great to share and was so filling. The food left my friends and I satisfied and our wigs were snatched so much. Must go again.
This is my favourite Italian place yet.The mushroom ravioli is a must try.Lots of options on the menu for vegetarians. They also customised a dish for us to make it vegetarian friendly.
If you wanna try authentic Italian food, this is your go to place.
We went here for dinner . We had chilli con gamberi, pastabella pizza and chicken Milanese. Food was authentic and service was not rushed and friendly. They have heated seating outside and would recommend.
Was hungering for some carbs for dinner, so a pasta place seems perfect. Have not heard of Pastabella before, but it was right across the road from where we parked. It had been a while since I had some good quality pasta. Expectations were not that high, the front part of the shop looked like a takeaway place, but the back actually extended into a cosy dining area & we were sitting outside (enclosed with heating) with fairy lights, a very romantic setting. As a novelty, the pasta were served in a flatbread made bowl.
The bread itself was actually quite morish to eat, soaking up the sauces & oils of the pasta. My marinara in white wine sauce was absolutely delicious, freshly made pasta, light sauce, al dente, well seasoned. My friend's carbonara was simple yet highly enjoyable. Very authentic. The only down side was that service was bit slow, really only 1 guy waiting & there was also a big family dining inside.
Pastas were nice and can tell it is made well, but took too long, however waitress was nice enough to offer a free scoop of gelato each, good work!
I don't know why it took me so long to come and try this local gem. The food is honest and authentic. The restaurant itself is rather understated and easily looked past, but it's a haunt for the locals.
All the cooking is done at the front of the restaurant, an open kitchen that tantalises your tastebuds.
The decor is simple and to the point, and has that homely feel to it, very unpretentious.
The food portions are decent, and the price of the pizzas and pasta are fairly reasonable.
For 2 we ordered one supreme pizza to share and a linguine chilli con gamberi. The only let down were the prawns that was nice but didn't taste the freshest.
The service was a little slow this particular evening as they were understaffed but the food still tasted amazing and the owner did his best to take orders and cook the meals.
This is a great low key go to place when you're too lazy to cook and want something comforting.
Found this restaurant walking through Glebe. Ordered the supreme pizza and the marinara pasta. The pizza was absolutely perfect! The base was thin, had a lovely crispy texture with just the right amount of char as well as a fluffy crust. The pasta in the marinara was fresh and fragrant, the sauce flavoursome. If you're looking for wholesome, homemade Italian food, this is the place to go! Will definitely be coming back.
First thing first; the owner is so friendly and nice! I tried carbonara and while I love asianized sauce better, it's still enjoyable enough for me, esp wirh free extra cheese ❤❤❤. The spotlight is definitely the pasta! Al dente fresh homemade pasta, you can really taste the difference. They also use raw egg yolk for the sauce; which is the authentic way to eat carbonar. I wil be back next time to try the pizza and dessert ❤❤❤
Possibly my favourite place to have Carbonara pasta in Sydney now. We visited on Easter Sunday for dinner and promised ourselves to come back for other dishes. Was particularly blown away by the amazing Carbonara spaghetti ($18, homemade spaghetti too!), served in a bread bowl. Very good price considering the quality! Also had the Prosciutto wood-fired pizza ($24), which was good & really big, but we had our hearts for the Carbonara already. Good service & they allow BYO for only $2.50pp. Definitely recommended!
Literally the best pasta I've had in Sydney! I went to Pastabella last Saturday and ordered spaghetti carbonara. It was fantastic. Staff are friendly and smiley. The restaurant is more like an Italian family style and very cozy. Can't wait to go back and have another pasta on my cheat day :P
Open late. Good quantity. The risotto was delicious. We added anchovy on the pizza but it was too salty.
Has always been a favourite, beautiful homemade pasta at an affordable price. Even better now that they’ve started serving the pastas in house-made pizza bowls!
One of the best pasta shop in Sydney.Fresh pasta and pizza with good price , must try.
Almost walked past as looked just like a takeaway place with a couple of tables out the front. Then noticed the nice little dining area at the back.
Lasagna and risotto are absolutely delicious. Don't make my mistake and think this unassuming joint has nothing to offer - it does
Because of the layout, with the kitchen at front, you would never expect what you get. The food is just fabulous! Best pizza and pasta ever in a nice casual setting. Hrecommendrecommend
