Great Greek place in Surry hills with a fantastic offer of a free bottle of wine 🍷 for reservations made before 7pm.. the food 🥗 is good but the service can be a bit hit and miss (mostly hit though).. definitely recommend checking out

“You must definitely have the octopus”, I told my next door neighbours who were seated a few tables away from us at the new Greek restaurant which opened this week in our part of Crown Street, Surry Hills. Like me, they had a curiosity about the what was on offer from the Ouzo Taverna.
The serve was large, tasty, and we even toyed with the idea of ordering a second helping. We also tried a salad (a little disappointing), some lamb (very good), and some vegetable-based fritters (good). Though we toyed with the idea of having a desert, we lost interest as the service later in the evening was a little slow.
So, I have been wanting to come here for my last 3 visits to Sydney and after cancelling last night and again tonight, I decided what the hell, stick with the 10pm flight home and try Ouzo Mezze Bar.
Well, after the procrastination, we made it and what can I say.
Friendly, great service.
Sensational food, in particular the calamari and lamb in the oven. Then the grilled prawns arrived 😊
The question is with 20 minutes to go, before having to leave for the airport, do we order another calamari or lamb in the oven?
Unfortunately, time to go to catch the 10pm flight to Melbourne.

It was my first time. going to a Greek resteraunt .Some of the meals may look wierd like rabbit rolls and goat meat but still nice food, freindly service and on the start they give you some bread and olives. Reccomened trying the Chicken Slovaki and Greek Salad.
The service can help you choose your meal if you do not know greek meals.
We keep going back again and again. Great food that's full of flavour and made with the freshest ingredients. Great service and reasonably priced. Just love it!
Probably one of the best Greek Restaurants you will get in Sydney.
The quality of the produce is second to none, highly recommended for any Occassion.. You must try the home made custard Bourekakia..
