An impressive Korean restaurant with a more modern/trendy menu that manages to still nail the traditional dishes! Particularly loved the kimchi jigae as the broth was so flavourful, tteobokki was also good. Fan favourite was the pork belly grill - loved the spices on that one.
Definitely a restaurant you should try in town hall !
Seoul Projext offers yummy Korean food. I’ve tried kimchi jjigae (kimchi pork ribs & tofu soup) and jokbal (steamed pork trotter with vegetables, this is my favourite!!) and bulgogi (marinated beef).
We were catching up with friends for dinner and as they enjoy eating Kieran food, they suggested here.
We were dining early but it got busier as the night went on. We ordered so much food that there was no space on our table. We had a few soups, Korean fried chicken, their tacos, spicy rice cakes, cheese and potato pancakes, steamed egg and spam rice balls which you make yourself.
My rice balls were so bad compared to my friend who has mastered it. They give you a disposable glove and you mix the bowl of ingredients and then roll them into balls to eat. My favourite dishes were the fried chicken and the spicy rice cakes which I haven’t had in a long time.
Reasonably priced food and a good variety of Korean dishes to try next time. One thing to note was that they don’t serve any alcohol before food is ordered, even if your going to order food. (Our friends were running late and we wanted to have a beer while we were waiting).
Came here for lunch with a large group, we got seated quickly even without a booking. Half of the table was sharing food and the other half was ordering their own, and it was nice they remembered and brought out the food accordingly so we didn't get confused.
We (the sharing group) ordered the chicken tree, pork and chicken hot plate, kimchi pancake, seafood pancake and tteokbokki. There were a variety of side dishes, all tasty. And they brought out the food promptly. The fried chicken was juicy and the pancakes were crispy, one of the best pancakes I have ever had. The hotplates were generous in portion size and the sharing group was very satisfied.

They had vegetarian options for me! Absolutely made my day. The kimchi arancini was delicious. Coupled with soju and great company, I couldnt have asked for more. Service was pretty quick too.
Really nice food and different from other Korean restaurants. Hip place and the portions are great too. Recommend the cheesy potato pancake with stir fried kim chi or the kimchi cheese bimbimbap! Would come here again.
The latest addition to the Korean food scene is Seoul Project, tucked into a laneway between George and Pitt streets. As the name would imply, they're a modern Korean eatery serving up lunch, dinner and drinks and open till late. Inside Seoul Project, there is an open plan space, including an open kitchen. Tables for 2-4 people, bar tables and stools and a sectioned off area for larger groups. Decorated in eclectic wall art ranging from the Korean flag through to Psy. There is a TV mounted on the wall, which was showing sports when we dined.
Seoul good in the hood mah homies! Sydney's Townhall area has just gotten more delicious with the addition of a new Korean restaurant. The new Seoul Project is tucked away in the laneway-like Wilmot Street. . The place has a contemporary tavern feel with industrial fittings. It's definitely not your typical traditional Korean restaurant. It offers modern Korean cuisine, which breaks the boundaries of traditional cooking. Basically in their case, Korean cuisine meets Dude Food. You can still expect the fermented based dishes, Bo ssam, bibimbap and jjigae dishes. There's also Western influenced dishes like kimchi fries and corn cheese pizza!
I first stumbled upon this Korean restaurant by accident. The modern industrial deco looked interesting and inviting. The hot plate beef bulgogi was flavourful and the beef was thinly sliced accompanied with a bowl of rice. I visited this place second time last week and tried their beef soup. It has a nice taste for the soup but not enough beef. So I think it depends on the dish you order here. Highly recommend hot plate beef bulgogi though.
