This is the best coffee in Redfern and the food is fantastic and the staff are super warm and friendly. Make sure you go through to the back it is light and open and has a really good vibe.
Somewhat original menu for the area - something different which is always refreshing.

One of my favourite cafes in Sydney - consistently good coffee, delicious food and warm service.
I really enjoyed the house cured salmon and the pulled pork flatbread. But even the simple scrambled eggs were a cut above with a smooth texture and bright yellow folds. The home made mini breads are also perfect for a light breakfast.
Fabulous coffee and food! A really great cafe with cool ambience. A delight to visit with excellent staff and service. In my view it’s the best in the Redfern station area by far.
In Short: Bloc145 features a menu that is western with a slight hint of Asian fusion. Like the impressive industrial chic design, the food is equally pretty and packed with flavour. The emphasis on great coffee is on par with the effort that goes on in the kitchen. . With gentrification and renewal continuing unabated, Redfern is fast becoming the place where Sydneysiders go looking for good and interesting cafés that encompass the cultural influences of greater Sydney’s cosmopolitan population. Location-wise, it is perfect, as its not too far from the city, and because this is also a popular working-class residential district, people who frequent the cafes here expect food that is wholesome and down-to-earth.
Delicious food, great coffee, nice ambience and super friendly staffs. This cafe impressed me every time I visit. Dishes are nicely presented and have great flavour combination. Will definitely come back to try more dishes. Highly recommended.
During lockdown we ordered from here a few times and never be disappointed so we finally come to the cafe . The menu has variety of options and they are so tasty. Just wasn’t too much a fan of the 100% matcha. But my partner ordered their coffee, it was very good. Will definitely come visit again to
try the pasta.
Cafe, lounge and restaurant, quite spacious inside with modern chic deco. Friendly service, although a bit slow. Good selection of food and drinks. Truffle menu was tasty but portion size on the small side
We truly enjoyed going to Bloc 145.
This place is like an enclosed urban oasis, so calm and comforting.
There are 2 sections in this place, the front side, facing the street is a coffee shop, with a beautiful display of baked items. A more take away or casual sitting arrangement.
The back side at Bloc145, has a more formal feeling, a mid section of a very cozy seating arrangement and finally the main formal sitting room, a restaurant feeling, where the furniture has been carefully selected and arranged in various ways.
I liked very much that there is more that one way to visit and seat in this place, I actually loved that.
The food we tried was wonderful, special mention needed to the pickles :)

Prices are affordable and reasonable.
Overall a great experience, it is a different offering in a surprising location.
Came here for a quick afternoon coffee and I was thoroughly impressed. Service is friendly, interior is chic and minimalistic, and the coffee was perfect. Would love to come back to try their dinner menu!
This has got to be my favourite place to get coffee in Redfern. Without fail, the coffee (and cake) is amazing every time and the service is genuine, warm and very professional. The last time I was here I had lunch, which was the right decision. The Japanese pancake with Salmon was amazing, hitting all the right notes. I definitely recommend this place to everyone. This place is out of my way, but I always seem to go there.
