One of the best bars in Redfern! Great Staff, cool vibe, awesome tunes and killer craft beer and natural wine list. Best margarita and chicken burger I've ever had!
Relatively New to Redfern with a full blown hipster vibe. It’s a bar with a good party atmosphere in a converted old fried chicken shop. Pretty good drink list and cool cocktails. Pretty cheap too.
The hipster bars march ever southward, so much so that the Redfern Surf Club is actually in Alexandria. I’m not complaining, it’s a good bar. The building was originally a bank, then a series of chicken shops, now just a big attractive room with great big windows. The bar tends towards expensive craft beers and spirits but the happy hours are good and they get people in even on a Sunday. The free popcorn is a great touch - actually prepared well and also smothered in paprika. You might need to load up on the popcorn because the hot dog stand looked pretty bad - it looked like the worst kind of pigeon feather sausages and some poxy chilli to put on them.
Neon lights, arcade machine, pool table, shrine to Point Break* and a Bin Chicken with a Lay on a CRT make this quite the small bar in Redfern!
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and great drinks (with a bar menu as well).

I love this bar! What a great find. I came here with a group of old friends and we had a grand old time time😁 The staff, atmosphere. food and great wine list! Huge thanks to Jade and Yannick for posting my glasses home to me in The Blue Mountains. I'll be back...
Great food, awesome cocktails, friendly staff. We booked here for my partner's surprise birthday. The team did an awesome hob of helping coordinate the event and made us feel super special. Highly recommend for a function , or even just casual drinks with friends. Note: you do NOT need to be a surfer to go here ;)
I moved to Sydney just before last year’s lockdown and since I moved I always have search for that place where you can scape with your friends and you know just chill, have a drink and a good time. Last night me and my friends (Juan group) found that in Redfern Surf Club.
Sadly the kitchen was not open due last minute sick call. Because of that I was unable to try one of their legendary burgers, but that doesn’t stopped them of delivering an amazing experience and me and my mates gave a great time.
But I just want to end this (long, I know) review with one last piece. Redfern Surf Club was amazing, the people working there delivered a great pub journey, with a smile and laughs to the good and bad jokes, the vibe was always on, good selection of drinks, the pool table well hidden secret put the cherry on top. Imagine all of this with the legendary burgers…..
I can only say, that I’ll be back for the whole experience and then come back to fight with google to allow me to out the 6th star that they will deserve and if I’m unsuccessful at least you have this review to understand why you have to come back.
Really nice atmosphere, the staff are so friendly and offer table service. Drinks were great, the food looked really yum! Def will be back again.
