An interesting place, they have great names for the traditional dishes they serve. Situated in an old terrace house at the end of Harris Street, they have a steady flow of customers.Debbie Nilsson
Pleasant surprise, even though the menu was so heavily anglicized as to be near unrecognisable. We shared some dishes:
San Choi bao: 4/5 tasty and delicious
Mongolian lamb: 3/5 mostly onion, not much lamb and very sweet
Bondi chicken: 4.5/5 delicious, succulent, deep fried with a sweet sesame vinegar- recommend!
Stir fry veggie: standard- but good. Tick
Deep fried ice cream: standard but good. Tick
Banana fritter: standard but good. Tick
Wine list: Pinot Gris matched nicely
Service : excellent
atmosphere: nice
Bathroom: good- tick.
A pleasant surprise- we went in with low expectations. But yes the menu is catering to westerners, but they're doing it with care and attention. Recommend!
the location is not that good, that's what I have to say, but think about a big plate fried rice and full of the flavour you are looking for, plus a free coke for just 9.5 dollars for lunch, man, what else you are looking for for lunch!
