The serves are huge so, although the prices aren't that low, you can get great value if you want a lot of food. I was pretty impressed with the bakmi goreng, with lots of tasty meat and a good flavour except for lots and lots of salt (glad I got the spicy version to overwhelm the salt a little).
10 minutes walk, $10 meals, $10 saved. A delightful Indonesian eatery tucked away in the heart of Ultimo. My first review, is a bit of a mess and not even from my Western Sydney home range. I also forgot to take enough notes and photos. Instead, I was chowing down with pen and camera down, a good sign. But here we go anyway.
Amazing food and friendly service. I’m so glad to have found a conveniently located Indonesian restaurant in the city. I really recommend the bakmi ayam jamur!
Best nasi goreng (Indonesia style fried rice) with wok hei charred taste and spices full of flavors. get nasi goreng jawa with BBQ pork. taste just like nasi goreng abang tek-tek from street vendor in Jakarta when I am craving for it. also try their bakmi ayam which also good

Kwetiaw goreng is the localised version of Malaysian kway teow fried flat rice noodles. The most noticeable variation is the sweet sauciness to the noodles, combined with a noticeable whack of chilli. If you need more heat, got nuts with the self-serve sambal chilli sauce pots. Proceed with caution though - the chilli sauce packs a serious punch.
Cheap, cheerful and fast, ordered and pay at counter before sitting down. Busy restaurant offering classic indonesian dishes. Most popular for their nasi goreng jawa or javanese fried rice, we ordered chicken but you can choose other type of protein as well. It was a bit plain than expected. Their fried vermicelli (vegetarian) is extremely tasty and fragrant. They also have self served sambal which was really tasty and goes well with both dishes.
Awoseme traditional friedrice , couldn't ask for more . Favorite all the time and reachable price the portion its big and fully satisfied up up up.
My all time favourites here are the #7 - Kwietiaw Goreng with crispy roast pork or the #11 Nasi Goreng special with chicken and prawns with an egg on top.
I have also tried a bit of the #10 Nasi Goreng Asian with vegetables which is something I might try next time.
They have moved only a couple of hundred metres into a newer and larger premises. Fortunately the quality of food is just as awesome as ever but be prepared for longer wait times to get your food order (especially if you are a large group).
If you want takeaway I suggest you phone ahead.
This place does not let you down if you are craving some indo food. Far better than ones I have tried in Kensington and closer to the city!
The best authentic Indonesian nasi goreng in Sydney. period. I have been searching for good nasi goreng when I'm craving indo style nasi goreng tek-tek. this place is even better than Fajar for their nasi goreng. try nasi goreng jawa with BBQ pork, your taste buds will thank you

Good food good service
Amazing place to hangout as they just renovated
Come here very often!!!!
Recommended!!!!!
Especially their fried rice and fried noodle!!!!!
Sometimes will not open unexpectedly, probably because short of staff. Food sometimes great but sometimes somehow feels different from usual. But definitely solid choice to dine in. Little bit secluded place. Definitely worth trying if you craving for some indonesian cuisine, nasi goreng is recommended but kwetiau siram is the best for me. Definitely will comeback
The word "lestari" literally mean ever-lasting. It's not an exaggeration that the impression that you get from this restaurant is going to be "lestari". I have been going to this restaurant for years now. They started off with a smaller shop next door with seating of 20 people to now being able to fit up to 50 people. They appear to be just another takeaway restaurant in ultimo, but its actually more than that. They serve various authentic but elevated indonesian food. If its gonna be your first time, start with their Fried Rice variety called Nasi Goreng Lestari with Roast Pork (Savoury) or Nasi Goreng Jawa with BBQ Pork (Sweet). Whatever your preference is, whether its salty or sweet, you are guaranteed a good time. The other hero of the menu would be Bakmi BBQ pork, which is their version of Indonesian dry noodle served with a side soup. The place are also clean in case if you are a bit pedantic about cleanliness. Last but not least, the people serving you are always nice, welcoming, and full of smile. They will literally treat you like family. If I can give 7 stars I would.
If you're craving an authentic Indonesian Nasi Goreng or kwetiaw goreng, then this place is for you! Service is quick. Portion are generous. Location is great too. Just a walking distance from UTS, bus stop and not too far from Central station too. A must try for Indonesian food lover.
I love this place, the flavour:$ ratio is the best in the postcode. Get the Nasi Lemak Lestari with roast pork belly, my absolute favourite.
This place can be hard to find as it’s tucked away right at the back of an alley.
I’ve been coming here for a few years and food has always been good. Can be slightly greasy at times however the flavours is still there!
Nasi goreng special with chicken & prawn is my go to as is the #7 & #5 with roast pork.
Simple food, but good quality and large servings. Decent prices ($10-15) for most meals.
Restaurant is clean and nice, and ,despite location being down a narrow alley, feels quite open due to mirrors and light-coloured walls.
Great place for a simple lunch and a first foray into Indonesian food.
Had a fried rice and a beef balls soup. Fried rice is very good, you can eat the power of the wok. Very large portion and reasonable price. Definitely come back again.
One of my favourite places to have fried rice. The only thing now is that they don't have the Jumbo Fried Rice deal like they used to and the pork belly fried rice sometimes does not taste as well as they used to when they were still operating between the cafes (now they're at a much larger establishment nearby).
Verdict: a great place to get tasty fried rice with affordable prices.
