Ordered the mini salmon stack and cappuccino during a peak time. Lovely clean place and may I add that having a mini option is great for the morning people who are not hungry for a colossal brekkie but are sick of toast.

Mystery L Cafe, a hidden gem in Toorak where plenty of customers come in and out for coffees, dog owners having brunch while the fur baby sits sipping water. Walking in you’re greeted by friendly staff and the smell of coffee and food will definitely cheer even the most hungover up. Mr D got the morning started with a latte and yes it was good but it wasn’t fantastic. He needed more oomph.
受邀试吃Mystery L at Toorak. 一家由Linger老板亲自打造的健康Cafe 开在高大上的Toorak区 健康美食 这可爱的小兔子和樱桃🍒梨🍐 好吃又好看[Drool]
From the owners of Linger comes Mystery L, a humble, but amazing, little cafe in Toorak. Everyone at this cafe is very friendly - both staff and customisers - and it’s just such a nice place to be for a peaceful breakfast or lunch.
I was keen to try their coffee as I had heard good things about it, and I was very impressed! It was hot, smooth, and well-balanced. The perfect cup of coffee!
Moving onto the food, I tried the Fried Chicken burger and the Smoked Salmon Stack. The Smoked Salmon Stack was so delicious - all the components were done so well and the combination was just amazing! The burger was incredible too and well exceeded my expectations! The brioche bun was so soft and fluffy, and the fried chicken was crispy and tender. There was nothing I didn’t like about these dishes.
Of course, I couldn’t leave without trying their famous desserts (which come from Linger). As I was too full, I opted to take them away, but they were still amazing the next day. I had the Cherry, Pear, and ‘Hey! So Nuts’ - of the three, my favourite has to be the Pear as I love light and fruity desserts. The Cherry was quite dense with the dark chocolate mousse, and the Hey!So Nuts was on the sweeter side. Nonetheless, they were all delicious!
Thank you so much for having me!
Mystery L cafe is a lovely bright sanctuary along Toorak Road! The staff are so lovely! They make amazing coffee with super cute latte art. I had the avocado toast, with hash browns and smoked salmon. The selection of desserts is also incredible! Recommend you check this place out. One of the best in Toorak!
A lively and clean cafe with upbeat music. Indoor and outdoor courtyard seating.
Firstly starting with chai latte, presented in a jug and dusted with cinnamon, the chai blend is smoothe.
Amber smoothie is very yoghurty but blends well with the mango, protein and almond milk.
Smoked salmon stack is well presented with vibrant ingredients. Flavourful and smoked salmon, perfectly poached eggs and beetroot.
Toasted Chicken sandwich - the bread is so buttery and crisp with the juicy chicken. Perfectly mashed avocado and lettuce inside.
The cafe also stock linger patisserie desserts as it is the same owner.
Overall a pleasing meal with the friendliest staff. Thankyou for the invitation.
This cute cafe is located in the lovely Toorak village has a quaint and welcoming cafe. We enjoyed some of their delicious sweets which are definitely a cafe favourite. They also do a good breakfast, we enjoyed the fritters and the Smashed avo. If you’re looking for a nice little cafe for a good coffee and food then make sure to check them out!
The gem on toorak road! This cafe serves up amazing breakfast and lunch options and what’s even better is their desserts. You will want to save room for desserts as they have an amazing range of desserts available. They have a good range on the menu ranging from salads to pastas.
We went to the option of having the corn fritters and the super greens along with a smoothie and juice to wash it all down.
Corn Fritters - The dish was presented nicely and the colors were fresh. We really liked the corn fritters as it was cooked well and it had that crunch in every bite. The salad accompanied the dish really well and it was overall a great dish.
Super Greens - If you are after something healthy, this will be a good option. The greens were cooked nicely and it had the lovely charred flavours which gives it a nice balance and the eggs complemented the dish really well. We added a side of halloumi to bring the dish to another level and really loved it.
Moving on to desserts, we had the little piggy and mandarin orange. Their desserts were made by the owners and is made fresh. The orange had a nice exterior and it was almost like a shell where you get to crack through to the different layers inside. I loved how the layers inside consists of a combination of both sweet and a slight hint of bitterness and the flavours were balanced really well.
The little piggy on the other hand had a nice glossy texture on the outside and when you cut it apart, it had the different layers and the textures were really nice. The desserts were not too sweet and the flavours were light.
We really enjoyed our meal here at Mystery L and it is truly a gem on Toorak Road. The dishes and the desserts were really good and I highly recommend them. The owner and staff were really friendly, be sure to visit them.
SWEET TOOTH ALERT
If you are searching for a cute, fancy and delicious dessert, you gotta check out mystery L!
The desserts here were just above the moon! From a white rabbit, pinky pig to fruit alike cakes...
From the timber decor, this space is perfect for coffee and cake break. We tried the rabbit, orange and cherry.
🍊Orange Ecstasy - my favourite above all, crack through the exterior you will be able to see the grapefruit jelly, super smooth a bit of bittersweetness adds some complexity. They used the real leaf for decoration, how sophisticated!
🍒 Cherry- glazing coating very fancy. If you are a fan of dark chocolate, you have to try this 70% choco mousse with cheery jelly inside
🐰 White chocolate mousse in the form of a ..rabbit! Too cute to eat! I personally love the match crumble, a match latte would go really well with this
If you happen to be in the area, you know where to dessert. Thanks MysteryL I will be back!
Mystery L Cafe is a lovely cafe with a nice ambience, I felt very welcomed and it was so nice and cosy.
I was joined by Hello.imnikki and we were spoilt with the most delicious coffees, breaky and cakes. My double ristretto was smooth and full bodied, I had a cappuccino after my brunch which was equally as tasty. The coffee art on these coffees really was spectacular!
For brunch I ordered the smashed pumpkin, beetroot hummus, crispy kale, fetta and poached eggs and boy was this a filling dish! The pumpkin was nice and nutty and the saltines of the fetta was a real delight. My eggs were poached perfectly.
Now for my favourite part of my visit, the cakes! OMG, these cakes are so realistic, they look so amazing and they tasted it too! The orange cake had a nice shell and when cracked open a lovely orange type mousse inside. The bunny had a nice mousse texture inside too and it wasn't too sweet which I liked. They jelly inside both the cakes was nice and tangy.
All in all a great cafe, thank you for the invite we had a great time.
