Have eaten here three times now. The Thai half of the menu is great, with fresh veggies and tender meat, and lots of spice without being too hot (even my five-year old could eat everything). The Mongolian Duck was incredible, I don't think I've had such tender duck in a meal of any cuisine, and the flavour was so much more balanced and refined than the usual Mongolian style dishes you get from every Chinese restaurant in Australia.
The Filipino half of the menu is very interesting, with dishes and ingredients we're not overly familiar with. Some of them are presumably an acquired taste, such as those that contain pork blood and similar, and I avoided those kind of things. However, everything I did try was spectacular.
I have no hesitation in saying this is the best food from a restaurant in Toowoomba at the moment.
This is a family run, small restaurant, so it's a long way from silver service, but the staff are friendly and welcoming. BYO drinks from the bottle shop next door, I don't think there's even a corkage fee.
I will say that we ordered takeaway from here once, and it was a very different experience...service was very slow and the meals were unpleasant. I'm not sure if the recipes are different somehow, or if they were just having a bad night. It wasn't enough to stop me coming back to dine in though, and I'm glad I did!
Incredible food. We came up from Melbourne today and Dolly's was suggested to us for dinner. It's truly up there with the best of them. Coconut rice perfection. Papaya Salad best we have eaten and the soy/vinegar squid a total standout. Highly recommended.
Been here several times and have loved the food everytime. The only reason not 5 stars is because last time we had to wait for 55 minutes for takeaway.
Shattered! Dolly's Kitchen has closed. Don't know why, but my taste buds are the poorer for it. :(
I Have been a few times now, the food is incredible.
Highly recommend, Beef Massamam, Chicken Red Curry, Pad thai and the Honey Crispy Chicken. You won't be disappointed. Best Thai food in Toowoomba. Lovely customer service, they always greet you with a smile.
Casual dining experience, large portions and convenient location and parking. Mix of both Thai and Filipino meals and some old favs like Honey checkne and fried rice. Wish them all the best in business.
Amazing food, wonderful service and such a beautiful restaurant! Definitely recommend trying Dolly's kitchen, you'll be back for more.
