Well, this is just a hidden gem isn't it.. Lunch was absolutely delicious, good sized portions... Coffee was great and was hot and spot on...Service great, the young staff out front look after the customers very well.. The chef, who ever that is knows what she or he is doing. Calamari was the best I've had anywhere.!!!! Ahhhhh what a gem is all I can say. Well done guys... See u again soon...
There is a beautiful energy at the Wishing Well, where the Old World meets the new. The gorgeous views of Coochiemudlow Island makes a nice contrast from the blue water views, to the orca coloured cliffs of the island. There is also a nice view of the Point's tall lush green leaved gums. Add to this, our High Tea was delicious. Home made everything. The scones were huge and fluffy. A generous serve of jam and cream too. The quiche was goregous, soft and tasty, like you cook yourself. I recommend WW for a beautiful chillax with family and friends. You don't feel rushed to leave either. WW is somewhere you could go with a good book if you were looking for 'you' time too. I have been going to WW for many years now, from when my children were small. I've seen owners come and go. These guys are doing an excellent job!
We visited on a Saturday. Popular local eatery. Had nice salad sandwich, yummy scones and great cup of coffee. Service was a bit inexperienced and took a bit longer than we would like.
LOVED IT!!!!! Will go back almost every weekend!! Up the Benny Breakfast!! It was the nicest set restaurant with the nicest staff you would ever meet!
Fantastic! This was recommended by a friend and we loved it. The coffee was from Byron Bay and divine - also beautifully presented. We had salads - Prawn & Mango, and Chicken Avocado. Again beautifully presented and oh-so-yum! We didn't try any of the cakes but definitely will next time. Quite busy but still relatively quick service. Also very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful and I'm looking forward to going back soon.
Absolutely amazing. Omg must come here. Me and partner just Went for a Sunday stroll.. Found this Cafe. Was just going to get a coffee, but how could we resist a cheap menu filled with amazing food..the food comes out and I'm in aww.. Best tasting, freshest and yummiest calamari I've ever had in my life.
They also have this "mega" coffee option... Omg it's like four coffees in one cup.. It's massive for so cheap too.
New owners...a breath of fresh air. Had an amazing time there with friends, place certainly has a different vibe since i last visited...we all loved it and even though they were packed we didnt have to wait. Staff were friendly and professional, you can tell there is a REAL chef in the kitchen, food, coffee and desserts were of top class! We will definitely be back and will be spreading the word, even the music was better!
New Owners. I read the reviews before coming to this place so I was hesitant on coming here but when I got there, the staff was very friendly, they were the new owners and I could see that they were making very nice looking high teas and they had some home made cakes etc in the fridge. I ordered tea for two, a bowl of chips and aoli and a raspberry bread and butter pudding. The aoli was home made, the chips were cooked very nicely, the tea was normal and the bread and butter pudding was nice but it could have been better as it did not have a crispy top but even though the food was average for now, the service made up for it. They asked our opinion, we gave it to them and they gracefully accepted it and explained they have not been able to do the kitchen over just yet but I could see that they really wanted to better themselves and really valued the customers opinions. I will definitely go back but just not have anything that requires to be crispy just yet until they have done the kitchen. Gorgeous, quaint and qwerky little place with a really nice view. It is really a nice place and I have only tried a couple of things but everything I saw looked very well worth trying, I just chose something that just should not have been on the menu just yet but I know they chose it for the cold weather. They are very nice people, clean place, home made food, they just need some time to make the place into what they want it to be. Oh, and the service was not slow, they were quick with our tea and chips and waited until we said we were ready for the puddings and brought them out quickly so definitely have improved since last reviews.
Should have listened to the other review about stupidly slow service. First time we came here it was good. Service was quick and food was good. Second time here service was no where to be seen. Had to go to counter to order. Waited over 45mins and still no food. Only one other table occupied in cafe. No idea why service is so slow. I didn't think it was too hard to make two burgers.
Tina Gale. Family and friends went to the Wishing Well Cafe for my daughters 30th birthday. The table setting was beautiful my daughters favourite colour, just such detail to make everything look so elegant. The food was delicious and plentlyful. I thought the high tea was a very reasonable price. We were never rushed and any request were never any trouble for the staff. Thank you Wishing Well Cafe for making my daughter's 30th Birthday a very memorable event.
Love this place. Wow Im a bit stunned at the above review. Myself and my family had a booking on this day "Mother's Day". We had made a booking and there were 8 of us there for breakfast. Sure we had to wait a little while but after all it was Mothers day so we expected a wait. We have been regular customers of The Wishing Well Cafe for a couple of years and have always found it a beautiful place to go. The staff always go out of their way to make you feel at home. The service is top notch and the food is always divine. The young chef there does an outstanding job cooking everything to order. The owner is renowed for her outstanding customer service and welcoming nature. They also give employment opportunities to people with disabilities. That alone speaks volumes
Driven past this place numerous times glad I finally dropped in Beautiful food nice presentation great atmosphere fantastic customer service well priced this place is truly worth a visit ..*****
Great views /great coffees & Marvellous foods , we enjoyed a brilliant OMELETTE, staff r lovely ....another Gem on the point
What a great place! The delicious fresh food, the friendly service by the folks that run it all added to the experience. The outdoor area is nicely covered but you can still see the water. Highly recommend!
Freshly renovated and renamed, this cafe is a great spot to enjoy a coffee and meal and relax with friends. Majority of seating is outdoors undercover and they offer water and treats for your dog's.
Food and coffee was great and came out very quickly!
Lovely spot & good brunch options. Perfect poached eggs & good portions. Dog & family friendly
New owners have re named (Now "Driftwood Cafe") and refurbished this old school Victoria point place and have started off well. The coffee is great and the food is good honest fare. I think there are great things ahead for this place once they get established.
Cozy cafe to have breakfast, brunch or lunch. Pet friendly, close to the beach and surrounded by beautiful trees. Quiet place to take your laptop and work from there. The food is good and the staff is upset friendly. Keen for a catch up with family of friends and have some wine or beer, this is a good place to meet.
