I ALWAYS get my sushi from here. It's always made fresh and tastes DELICIOUS. I recommend the salmon caviar sushi! The portion size is great. I order a 5 piece for my lunch :) To the people complaining that the gentleman is rude...He works alone and takes orders, cooks and takes payment alone. Keep that in mind and try to have your order ready when you phone.
I just moved to Wembley so walked to the store instead of ordering over the phone based on other people’s reviews on here speaking negatively about his phone manner etc. I always like to check things out for myself before passing judgment. The owner greeted me and spoke well, very clear and politely. He suggested popular dishes based on me saying I like spicy food. He said everything is made fresh (and it was), so I walked down lake monger for 10-15 mins and came back and it was ready for me as he said, on time, and wow when I got home it tasted delicious... gyozas were perfect, Japanese beef curry was amazing ! Well priced and very good value! Definitely going back. I agree the restaurant isn’t somewhere I’d probably eat out at but his phone was ringing off the hook during the very short time I was in and shows he’s running a successful takeaway business. For the people on here ranting about his trading hours and phone manner - you missed out!

Seriously, the best sushi you will find in Perth. One of our favourite local Friday take-aways that we've been visiting for years.
Yes, the "restaurant" looks a little odd, tucked away with a closed door, but don't let that fool you! The sushi is incredibly delicious. The chef will not "pre-make" anything - his motto is that everything is made fresh to order. So you can eat your sushi still warm! Prices are very fair, portion sizes are very filling, and I've never had to wait very long for my take-away order.
Same as Kane, owner can seem rude but it is just his manner and he is busy running too and fro getting the cooking sorted. Best Yaki Soba and Gyoza as well. He does use eftpos but he prefers the cash :) Get your Japanese takeaway at this place for sure.
I've been going here for years and can tell you this is the best Sushi in Perth. The rest of the food - Teriyaki, Katsu, etc; is equivalent to other good Japanese restaurants in Perth. Much like the soup Nazi of Seinfeld, the Chef can be quite rude - so just expect that and you will be fine. Also this is not a place you would dine in and have a chat with your waiter. You call up, make your order, pay in cash (cash only) and leave. You won't be disappointed with the food, in particular the Sushi!
I love this place. I get the teriyaki and avocado sushi and it is amazing every single time I go. I've been going to this place for years.
I get this sushi as a treat because it is honestly that good. I've never had sushi that was made fresh right in front of you and is warm once you get it and eat it. It's spoilt me now for any other sushi place, I won't go anywhere else.
I have to admit, I haven't eaten any other sushi meals but friends of mine have and they enjoyed the california roll.
Also the hot meals are really good too.

I have been here twice now and bought sushi - I honestly have no idea what all the complaints are about.
The first time I ordered California roll and salmon roll sushi. The second time I ordered salmon sashimi. Both times it was made in front of me and it tasted fresh and delicious. The sushi serving sizes are very big (picture is one small serving), while the sashimi was average size (also small serving).
Iron Chef is quick, delicious, healthy, and very convenient for my lunch break. I will continue to come here and work my way through the entire menu 👍🏼
Japanese foods lover. Yes, it is a shop mainly for takeaway. There are still some table for you to dine in. All foods are freshly made. In fact, you should be able to tell by their sushi. Wow....just melting in your mouth. But I would highly recommend you to make a phone order before visit. Because they are always busy. I think the price and size of their foods are very reasonable. I'll be back for sure.
Sushi made fresh infront of me. Took it back to the office, one mouthful sent me from 6 to 12, luckily I was seated at my desk.

Best Sushi I've ever had. Made fresh so nothing that's been sitting around in the fridge, the rice isn't over cooked and the chicken sushi has avacodo. Yum
