My girlfriend and I are here for our Ghost Tour and the food is absolutely amazing. The fish was perfect and the pancake for dessert was perfect. I would absolutely recommend anyone here. Fantastic service and very friendly staff to boot.
Really good food and service! Love it there, would highly recommend
Called in here for a pre dinner drink. The service was friendly and attentive.
I ordered a Founders Nitro Oatmeal Stout which was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect drink for a cool winters night.
They have a good range of craft beers and one of my favourite Pilsners on tap.
And with some live mush this just set the scene for a. relaxing night. This place is definitely worth a visit.
Great homely, very welcoming, traditional pub with a good menu with lots of options. Friendly staff, inviting bistro on a cold Winter's day. Décor a bit old - couches at the front as old as the pub but a minor thing.
1836 wow that's a long time and they need a point for that alone. Guinness on tap. Calamari rings light and soft and tasty. Booked out for the Rugby Test so a mixed bag. Come via the ferry from Southbank and work up an appetite on the voyage. Don't come for the food though it's fine for pub grub. Williamstown is gorgeous and historically authentic and a maritime centre. It survived the post WWII 're-development'
During his younger days The Dear Luncher used to frequent The Packet quite a bit, but not for food. It was the place to be for young folk Willy/Altona folk back in the day. Well it's still the place to be in 2017 from a culinary point of view, says The Dear Luncher. It's been decked out rather nicely, plenty of variety on the menu. The Packet Burger was rather nice, and the paella was tremendous. Kid friendly, great live music in the background and an excellent range of beer. The Dear Luncher's eyes lit up when he saw Hawkers Pale Ale on tap.

Very very good pub food. And good beers with a wide selection. But I asked my t-bone medium rare and it was medium, although it was very tasty. And my friend found a couple of hairs in the paella. Anyway, this place deserves a good score, small mistakes can happen, especially in a fast paced friday. (The paella was redone, btw). We will be back for sure.
Great food, wonderful craft beers, and generally a nice vibe! New ownership are improving quality of food and doing a great job with customer service. Oh and $6 pints.
Perfect pub to have a few drinks. Parma goes alright but I actually prefer the seafood basket. Much better value. Great pub and attentive staff.
Ordered the chicken breast and the seafood paella here with Elisha Hodges. Good food but wouldn't come back as there are better valued pubs around and the steam packet isn't anything too special. The desert was moist and quite a large serving. The customer service was good and the restaurant was nicely set up.
Fantastic, would be my regular if I lived slightly closer, though I try to stop by a few times a month. Im originally from the UK and this place always makes me feel like I'm back there. Great menu, huge portions of delicious pub grub and fantastic tap beers - they always have something new I love (in the last few months - kung foo rice lager and hawkers IPA are stand outs) perfect for a Sunday afternoon meal. Consistent service, they absolutely know what they're doing. Recently a pokestop so I'd rate it even higher than a 5/5 if I could, as much as that embarrasses me.
Visited on a busy Monday night. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. Not only did they have Specials (under $20) but they also had $13.90 Extra Specials (Mon & Tue only)! Servings were good and food was tasty. Classic Pub menu which read and was priced better than most. Definitely be back to try out Steak night!
Went here for lunch and had a nice spot outside. Nice pub and a good atmosphere. Prices for food and drinks were reasonable and quality was good as well. Decent pub grub.
Went there for dinner yesterday. Quality food, good price and good service. A little bit noisy but reasonable and overall was good, recommended.
Best place for lunch or dinner. We had a group of 20+, Col, Mary Anne and the team are just awesome. Venue, Food and Beers on tap were superb. Thanks again we will see you again very soon.
Look I would probably come back because it was a mixed bag. The first lady that served me was friendly, nice and courteous. The runner was nice also. The 2nd lady that served me wasn't rude but didn't really engage.
The food - Absolutely delicious could not fault it. The problem was it took an hour to arrive. Didn't notice because too busy chatting but if it's going to take a long time please let us know. Thanks.
As a tourist this spot is a beauty .. just around the corner from the main strip, & apparently it's haunted đź‘». Such a cosy good ole fashioned pub. It has been done up but still holds classic appeal. Yet to eat, but nice selection of craft beer etc
Came with friends on the Steak Special night. I don’t like steak but my friends do and they said they were great. I had the crispy pork belly - best I have had. Guinness to wash it down also excellent. Dessert was a HUGE chocolate brownie. What a night!
Really friendly, very cosy, lovely food and warm welcoming service. Lovely location too. Well worth the trip out of the city to enjoy the beautiful views. Lovely selection of wines to complement the diverse menu too.
