Great place to come for a decent sized steak with veggies. Great value and tasty. Decent wine selection too. Beer selection sucks though. Service is always pretty good.

Sometimes you just want to go somewhere where you can make a reservation, it's not fusion food, you don't have to get dressed up and there's no 'feed me' menu option available. Enter Basilico. One of four scattered around Melbourne, this family owned Italian eatery has been serving up delicious authentic meals for years. I went for a deliciously calorific creamy pesto gnocchi served with a side of crusty buttery garlic bread. Mamma Mia, it was casual but it was perfect
Bruschetta - very nicely done bread while the toppings lacked the punch.
Pizzas - generous with the toppings. Nothing else great to write about. The base could be better considering it is wood fired.
Service - very friendly waitress and nice service.
Excellent pizza. Magnificent ingredients applied to perfection. To cap that off the entrees, pastas and mains stack up well too, and if you go through to dessert leave plenty of space. The service standards decline when very busy. It's better to go for lunch or the quieter nights. Sitting in Basilico Windsor and looking out into Chapel St you could be in any eat-street in the world. Recommended when it's not too busy.

I hadn't been here before, but the amazing smell that greeted us when we entered was a great sign. A glass of wine was needed to shake off the wet windy weather outside. Good pizzas and friendly service.
We have been here on numerous occasions and have been pleased with the food the service and ambience. The arancini balls are worth a try and the pizzas are really good all cooked up in the wood fired oven. If you want a casual outing with good food at a reasonable price. Then give this a try

Ordered delivery, pre-ordered for a certain time as the restaurant wasn't open yet! Great! Arrived on time. Nice flavours and tasty. Had the carbonara and the woodfired prosciutto pizza. Will order again from here
Absolutely delicious meals and amazing service! For entree we shared the prosciutto rocquette pizza which had a lovely crisp base and all ingredients were fresh and tasty. For main I had the eye filled cooked medium with the pepper sauce. 10/10 steak. My partner had the Pollo Valentino which he loved! Great food, excellent service, we'll definitely be back!!
Basilico: fairly unique pizzas, along with other common Italian offerings in a clean and fresh environment.
The service here was great; every employee seemed bright and helpful. Tiramisu was some the best I've had in a long time as well. Check it out if you're into the pizza scene.
Great meal. I had the eye fillet and was so tender. Thanks guys for always cooking an awesome meal. So good to be able to order steamed veggies with your steak instead of chips. We will be back for sure 👍👍
