Review Arte Bianca - Woollahra

How was this even allowed to leave the kitchen for takeaway. It’s a shame because the pizza is great. America are about to invade this plate for its oil.

Giving 2 stars as we love the food here. Came the first time a couple of weeks ago, the restaurant was extremely busy (seemed overbooked) so we justified the poor customer service and the lack of attention as being understaffed. Some of the things that happened this evening, we tried to get the attention of a waiter for over 10 minutes to order drinks (didn’t end up getting the attention of anyone despite our efforts). When ordering mains and our drinks, we were not yet finished and the waiter left as if we were, we tried to get her attention again but could not so our table of 11 decided to go without our decided entrees. The food came out quickly and was beautiful, could not fault it. We tried to order another bottle of wine, waited 5 minutes reminded the staff… 10 minutes followed up with another staff member… 15 minutes and I myself went up to the counter. You would think we got our bottle of wine shortly after this however we did not. It was at least another 10 minutes after this that a lovely staff member (female, brunette) came to apologise and I asked why we had not received the wine? Her answer, they had no clean wine glasses to give so decided to leave us waiting for our bottle without notifying us. If we had have been told, we would have been happy drinking the $75 bottle out of any other glass but instead the sale was lost. After this we decided we would rather eat desert elsewhere. Fast forward to this weekend just gone, my partner and I decided to give them one more go as we loved our meals - 5:30pm appointment and restaurant was quiet however service was still poor. Our male waiter greeted us by telling us the table we were seated at was only available until 6:30 (which is okay as we were a last minute booking) however the delivery of this message was a hostile “You guys know this table is booked at 6:30 right?”. We ordered promptly, the entrees came out quickly however we waited for our mains for well over 20 minutes after finishing our entrees. Our mains ended up being delivered at 6:35 and we couldn’t help but feel rushed to eat. We will return for TAKEAWAY however cannot justify the money for a poor dining experience in such a nice suburb. (a lenient review from another hospitality worker)

Very disappointing experience. We have been going to this restaurant for over 3 years. Unfortunately, the management has changed and completely dropped the ball. The music that was playing inside was electronic techno… I couldn’t work out if I was at a rave party or an Italian restaurant in Double Bay. I asked the staff if they could play something more relaxed and was laughed at as if I was a mad person. The service has also decreased significantly. There are too many tables and staff are not very attentive. Lastly, the food standard has dropped slightly, but has managed to stay relatively consistent with past experiences. I really hope the owners can turn things around as this restaurant had a great reputation and is being destroyed by poor management.

I’m glad I was invited at this restaurant. I think I’ve never eaten in Sydney pizzas with this delicate consistency before! And the taste was amazing. Even desserts were so yummy! Staff was nice. The room is not big but they also have few tables outside. I just would have liked less light, it was too bright. But the food was great, I would like going there again to try other things.

The white wine seafood pasta was very good. One can definitely find better pizza in Sydney. Service is lack of some warm feels.

Takeaway takes 2 hours. They don’t answer the phone takeaway arrives cold and there is no one to talk to. Had to drive to the restaurant only to be told that we don’t answer the phone because we give priority to customers ! What the F!

Walked up to this restaurant and waited patiently to be seated for a table for 3 . When it came our turn to be served the waitress asked “Uber order “ To my confusion I was stated “no” as it didn’t comprehend to me what had happened. Then she commented “what’s the order number for Uber I can go to the kitchen and get it” To my surprise I realised that the waitress had thought my 2 dark coloured friends and myself were UberEats delivers and not customers at the restaurant. Quite dumbfounded, both my friends and I walked away embarrassed and disgusted at the racism we just experienced. Were the 2 white ladies in front of us asked the same thing ? Surely when anyone comes in to a restaurant the first thing they get asked is “How can I help you today” , or some alternative, regardless of the colour of their skin or their appearance.

DELIGHTFUL Very nice vibe! More family and friends sort of ambiance but still recommend it for a date. The food is, as expected, absolutely amazing. Pizzas are made on fine crust and not too greasy at all! I had the gnocchi with truffled mushrooms. Panacotta was like a vanilla melt with strawberry drizzle (yummmm) It's BYO too so no trouble here if you don't want to spend too much. Highly recommend the place for friends dinner and some shared meals. Must go again to try some pasta and the nutella semi freddo 😋 TAKE AWAY AVAILABLE DURING QUARANTINE 🤩

Called THREE times on the way to the restaurant to check if they were open due to COVID19, spoke THREE times to the same man that assured us they were open. We actually called upon parking the car to triple check, as we seen not many tables set up. Once again- told they were open. Once we lugged our kids out of the car and got to the front of the restaurant they said they were closing & re opening at 5:30pm. Please keep in mind we spoke to them two minutes prior. EXTREMELY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Quite a busy night here but service was still efficient. Has a nice outdoor seating which seems to be booked out fast. I ordered the rigatoni bolognese and it was just right and flavourful. I was keen on their dessert-nutella and hazelnut semifreddo but decided to leave that for my next visit soon. Despite their pizzas being cooked in a pizza oven rather than woodfired, they were very appetizing. Handy tip: pay at your table not the counter! as it causes congestion in the narrow walkway i believe.

Truly amazing !!
After having the worst experience at “Matteo” new pizza place in Double Bay, we decided to go to Arte Bianca and the staff was really lovely and just made our night amazing! This place is definitely making the best pizza in Sydney.
I really recommend this restaurant to any Italian food lovers as it is high quality and typical Italian food.
We will definitely be back there soon :)
Well done guys !!

Not sure why some of the ratings were so low. We thought it was pretty good. Good pizza for Australia. Nice ambiance. Bread and olive oil before the mains arrived was a nice touch.

I go there every week, it is my favourite Italian restaurant, staff are lovely and Mark - the pizza chef, won 7th best pizzaolo in the world. A must try! If it is your first time go for the pizzas but their sea food pasta and the ragu pasta are delicious too.

When we arrived there were two tables for two available. We asked one but was told we had to sit on a high little table with hard stools against the wall. We obliged for we made no reservation. Half an hr after we sat down we managed to catch a waiter's attention to order. We asked if we cud move to a table wz chairs to get some comfort. The waitress said not sure n had to check but never came back to us. By the time we finished our meal the two tables were still unoccupied. Not sure why the waitress refused us twice to sit at the table. The pasta wasn't al dente. The olives were beautiful.

This is the best pizza place I have been to in Sydney so far. If you like real Italian pizza with a thin crust this is the place to eat an amazing pizza. Can highly recommend their smoked mozzarella/ham pizza!

My favourite pizza place in double bay! They make real Italian style pizzas with the thinnest crispest bases! Top quality ingredients that aren't piled up!
So good! I can't get enough!

Fantastic quality, service. Best kept secret in Sydney.

Simon Food Favourites review. Was walking past and spotted some great looking pizzas on a table inside. Definitely hoping to try this place.
