Review The Bellevue - Woollahra

Honestly one of the best all round pubs I've visited, went on a Sunday with a few mates and got the Roast special, incredible and good portion size. The wings were also an easy top 3, not too spicy but just right. Great atmosphere and filling and hearty meal, will likely visit again

Absolutely amazing food an Beautiful atmosphere with a nice country style pub in the middle of Sydney we had the traditional famous crumbed Lamb Cutlets that have been on the menu since Jesus was born and they didn't disappoint amazing tender and the bed of mash was like velvet. Staff were very friendly. A young lady on a keyboard was playing live music softly in the restaurant it was just beautiful obviously very popular with the locals as there was quite a few birthday dinner parties.

Fine pub, bit strong on giant screens in the front bar for my taste. Decent range of beers on tap tho

Came here this evening off a whim whilst driving past. Was pleasantly surprised to find little creatures dog days on tap. Ordered the sirloin steak medium rare and found two of my favourite hot sauces on the shelf. The steak came out perfectly cooked and the steamed veggies in the yazu sauce were great. Only after going to the toilet in the back did I pass the dining room and discover that it has a recently been awarded a hat. Will definitely be back. Highly enjoyed my visit.

Nice old friendly pub, some Young Henry’s but not much independent brewed beer

First time eating here, went for the Sunday roast. Was great, Roast Pork was very tasty! Staff were great, highly recommend

Sorry guys, but having only one vegetarian dish in the mains and then saying its unavailable because the chef had no pasta... (flour and eggs guys!) No table service in upstairs restaurant but then no open bar in upstairs made for a very dry meal! Times are tuff with little hospitality staff atm but be careful not to ruin your past good reputation. Perhaps close upstairs restaurant when you don't have enough staff or produce. And less meat more vego/pesco friendly menu would be more on trend

Nice casual pub that's well attended by the locals and you'll spot lots of oysters by the dozen being served on a Thursday night. Apparently they'll get through around 500 in the 2 hour happy hour which accounts for them being preshucked before service. A glass of Jim Barry Riesling, Clare Valley SA ($10) and Opawa Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough NZ ($10.50) helps calm the nerves for the adults while the Orange Juice ($2 kids) served in a plastic cup for the kids helps boost their energy. Oysters ($1 Thursday 6-8pm) aren't the prettiest shucked oysters I've seen but for $1 each and a big squeeze of lemon they're certainly do the trick as an appetiser. Chicken Schnitty with house slaw and beer battered fries ($20) had a good crunchy coating and tender chicken inside. Chips were crispy and the slaw was nice although would have loved a bit more of it and preferably served on the side so it doesn't get all warm sitting on the heat of the freshly deep fried schnitzel. 250g rump steak - Rangers Valley Black Angus Rost Biff MS3+ (270+ days grain fed) ($26) served with mushroom sauce and beer battered fries was ordered medium although in hindsight would have been better as medium rare. The plentiful supply of mushroom sauce was very good. The pub is kid friendly with a baby change table available and kids menu but it certainly caters for the older crowd with comfy seating and friendly service. The restaurant at the back looks really nice and I'd been told the oysters are shucked to order there which is good to know.

The atmosphere in this hidden-away gastro pub is mesmerising. Food is delicious but for some dishes you might find the portion size a little disappointing. Beef cheeck main was my favourite. Good wine selection by glass (pinor noir and shiraz). All three desserts on the menu were delicious - white choc parfait was my fav.

A corner pub in Paddington since the 1880s, The Bellevue Hotel sat at the heart of the gorgeous Paddington Heritage Conservation Area with its majestic, old world charm. <br/><br/>The kitchen was closed early on a Thursday night (~8.30pm) and I got myself a Heineken at the pub. The glossy bar tables were empty and the television was showing the latest results from the race course. A good time to think through about things but I believe there are much cheaper beer around.

Nice, new fit out but very simple on the food side of things. Shared the burger and the salad to balance the calories with my partner. The chicken salad was too over-powering and drenched with dressing. The burger was tasty, but if that's what you're after, there are better options in the area for that.

My husband and I randomly picked this place for lunch. Food here is excellent. Great ambiance and nice interior deco. Hearty services. I will definitely come here again!

Went to the upstairs terrace and bar area for an afternoon drink and it's a fantastic spot to soak up the sun. This a popular place with the paddington locals and it's not hard to see why. If you are a cider fan go with the local agave cider with ginger - delicious. The downstairs has an upmarket restaurant serving up seriously posh pub grub however not cheap with all mains priced over the $30 mark. Overall it's a chic pub option worth checking out if you are in paddington.

What a disappointment: this was our first visit following the big refurbishment. The place was half empty on a Friday night. It used to be packed. The new decor is a disappointment. The chairs are designed so that the backs grate on your vertebrae. The slow cooked veal rump was chewy and full of gristle. The service was passable but perfunctory. It beggars belief how you could spend this much in a refurb and get it so wrong. We will, in future, be part of the "half empty" crowd. It's off our list. <br/>

Weekend sessions are nothing new and as the weather warms up in Sydney, Bellevue will be waiting as the crowds begin to flock to get that prime seat on their light filled open-air terrace. Bellevue is comprised of a number of drinking and dining areas with each space thoughtfully designed to cater for a particular audience.

I can highly recommend checking out the freshly renovated Bellevue. The food is beautifully presented and tastes as good as it looks. The creamed potatoes were out of this world. The wine list is extensive and the cocktails are delicious. The staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgable. An all round amazing experience.

For the past seven months Paddington’s much loved Bellevue Hotel has been undergoing 2 million dollars worth of renovations and on Tuesday the 21st of July it finally reopened to the public under its new name, simply, Bellevue. This heritage pub, that first opened its doors in 1880, will unveil a completely transformed ground-level bar and dining space and on Friday the 24th of July its redesigned terrace. The bar area flows seamlessly into the dining area which now seats up to 70 patrons. A new oyster and caviar bar adds a little glamour to this already polished space.
