I absolutely love this place. It's changed little bit by little bit over the years but remained just as amazing! The Ron Swanson is honestly the King of sandwiches! Would recommend!

A very small quiet place. Lovely atmosphere. The inside look sought of like a house, customer service was great! The staff there were so friendly and seem to know their customers well. Part of the reason why I would come back again. The food did take quite a while to come but the wait was worth it. The amount of food is very generous and the chai latte I ordered was amazing. I loved it!
Really nice staff! Awkward layout for a cafe, but still nice regardless. The bacon pineapple sandwich is soooooo gooooood. Would highly recommend that sandwich!
**3.5 stars** It’s such a relief when a cafe can deliver the classic breakfast - smashed avocado - correctly. On top of that, the coffee was delicious and not that strong. The only thing that wasn’t great was the Acai bowl. The acai which was blended with banana sorbet was tasty. The fruits were fresh. But the large amount of granola made the overall plate taste dry… that and the peanut butter which didn’t help. That being said, I’ll be coming back for some more coffee and smashed avocado. Warm and cosy atmosphere with friendly staff.

Went on a week day and it was very quiet, loved the cozy homie feeling. They have a back room as well so i went sit there. Lots of sweet and savoury options I picked the tempura crab scrambled. Only waited 5-10 mins for the food and the eggs were scrambled perfectly. Very generous serve as well that I didnt quite finish everything. Service was prompted and friendly. Will be back!
Little hidden gem! Accidentally found while walking pass. Provincial style interior and very petite style cafe. Small but well executed menu. All sweets looks & tasted like it came from a nice patisserie. Coffee had that perfect bitterness harmonies well with the milky creamyness. Almond croissant soft yet crispy outer pastry. Staff nice & frendly. Cosy seating. Overall good quality, taste, service and ambiance against price gives an overall score of 4.3*
Came here for a weekend brunch. Efficient and friendly service (in an out within the hour). We had the Duck Benny and the everything (aka big breakfast). Both were excellent options

A great cafe which I think is seriously underrated.
Eventhough the food options are not as extensive as other cafes, it definitely makes up in terms of portion serving and taste.
Pancakes were fragrant, fluffy and light, but still very filling. Great combination with the fruits, honeycombs and coconut cream served on the side.
Highly recommend the Açai bowl - delicious, delicious and absolutely delicious. Especially the peanut butter! Everything from the berries, fruits, almonds an granolas to the peanut butter was a beautiful blend.
Excellent coffee... I had the "The One" for brunch, it was delicious! The cashew cream and kimchi was so tasty! Great staff and didn't take long for the food to arrive! Overall, I would definitely come back again! 😊

The atmosphere was quiet and considered, even a little warm one might say. The interior was eclectic (inspired by one Frasier Crane no doubt) making use of wood and upcycled furniture, which can often be a tacky choice if not handled well. Fortunately LBSS handled it well.

Staff were very friendly and did not leave us wanting. Food came out quite fast as well.

Despite a little mixup with my strong flat white, this was some of the better coffee I’ve had on the east side of town.

Vegetable toasted sandwich - Gordey Kitchey strives to avoid hyperbole across reviews, but this sandwich was certainly the best I had in 2017. Well grilled vegetables with a side serving of mustard and sliced pickles was simply salty satisfaction. I couldn’t get enough of this.
Vegemite on rye - two perfectly toasted slices of rye bread, accompanied with what must have been half a stick of soft butter and at least an entire 150g jar of vegemite. These condiments were presented on darling little side plates, ready for slathering. Even a vegemite-phile like myself couldn’t finish all the vegemite provided. Spread heaven.
Value
Very reasonable prices considering the high quality of food on offer and overall experience. Toasted vegetable sandwich rounded out at $12 and vegemite at $4.50, yeast doesn’t get much cheaper than this!

The food here was excellent and reasonably priced. I had the ‘this one’ vegan style with avocado. This place has been on my hit list for a long time and I am so glad I finally made it. Signage out the front is a little confusing but it’s right on the corner. Outside of the food the table ware was also great and I liked their use of local designers and potteries.
EDIT 5/8/18- updating my review because Cafe has changed management. Acai bowl is not the same :( to be honest the flavour is good but the toppings are not as good - they use kraft peanut butter and the granola is too sweet. No more coyo :(

[OLD REVIEW] Best acai bowl in Melbourne! Would go back again and again. It comes with house made coyo, house made peanut butter and other high quality ingredients. It's pretty pricey but so worth it compared to all the other places that serve "acai" bowls but really it's just a smoothie bowl with a hint of acai
Glad to have found this paleo friendly place on Victoria st. Delicious sweet potato pancakes w strawberries and coyo (add bacon!). Friendly staff and cool place. Seating is not for longer stays but you’ll finish your plate pretty fast!
