A cute little corner cafe in the leafy streets of Abbotsford, Loosie Grind is really popular with locals and nearby workers. I came here recently for a mid week coffee and the place was packed with diners and people grabbing takeaways.
There is a great display of pre made dishes as well as pastries and cakes, and the ambience is light and airy with a friendly vibe. My coffee and carrot cake were really good, and the service was lovely and quick even though it was quite hectic in there. Busy is a great sign though, and I would agree with the locals that Loosie Grind is a fab little spot for coffee and cake, or a yummy home cooked meal.

I haven’t been here since early 2017 so it was time to stop. My partner ordered a short mac and I had a strong skinny latte.
The service was really friendly and inviting with a happy demeanour from the staff.
The coffees were good but I’m not sure if my coffee was strong. Overall this cafe is still worth a visit.

Driving past this cafe today I called in for a strong skinny latte. The coffee was excellent, and the service just as good. Really friendly staff, and I will be back soon to try what looks like some delicious meals at very very reasonable prices, e.g. $14.50 for a big breakfast w coffee? Really wow!
I was planning to bring my friend tomorrow but its closed so it'll have to be next weekend so I'll take some pics of the food then.
This place was really busy by the time I left and its not surprising. There is cute little undercover bench outide and they can pass your coffee through a little window, that way you dont have to sit inside on a hot day, what a great idea. This is my kinda place :)
Great value for money, great food and lovely staff with a real homely vibe. A real breath of fresh air from typical uppity Melbourne cafes. Will definitely be back.
Seriously can't fault this place. The staff are wonderful and provide the warmest service, the food is awesome and really great value, the coffee is great. We live two suburbs away but Loosie's is our go to place if we head out for breakfast with the two kids. We always feel so welcomed, and it doesn't send us broke.

Cute and busy little cafe with a variety of food! From meals, to fresh salads and pre made meals, to foccacias and even rice paper rolls. There's something for everyone! Only had the Moroccan chicken salad and it was very tasty.

Good food cheap. Busy lunch spot. $7 for small pasta which was great. Not so great was every spare seat having empty dishes on the table. I moved things around, sat down to lunch & saw the cutlery I was given was dirty. Will come back for take away.
Best place to go to grab a quick lunch on the go. Very reasonably priced. Very fresh and delishious food. Caters for everyone. From hearty comfort food to really yummy sandwiches and healthy salads. Staff is always very friendly and really great customer service! Definitely one of my favourite places to grab lunch.
The food and service is fantastic. Have just devoured the big brekky with a latte included for a very reasonable price. They were not lying, the big brekky is BIG! And wholesome. Just delicious.

Came here and ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee! Tasty and during my visit, the service and prompt and very friendly. 🥰 It would be nice if they had their drinks up on the menu though (I didn't see any during my visit).

#throwback to when we went on our sunday walk to Yarra Bend Park and saw this cute cafe called Loosie Grind on the way back home.
We were drawn towards the pastries and cookies they had as they were massive and looked so delish. We got some Iced Coffees to go and the Lotus Biscoff cookie. They’re both yum!
But the one thing that I will forever keep with me about this place is the friendliness of the people who were working there. The moment we came in through the door, we were greeted as if we were a part of the family and the neighborhood.
When we got our cookie, she was asking if we want it warmed up. Also, when I asked for sugar for my coffee, she offered vanilla pumps instead as she said it’s better for the coffee than the normal granulated sugar, with no extra charge. Idk why but I felt that these actions were just so nice!!
I wish we could spend more time there, perhaps to taste their brunch menu. Anyway, if you’re in the area, make sure to check out this cafe! I hope you’ll be treated as good as how we were treated 🤗
What a wonderful surprise it was finding this place! Staff are SUPER friendly, food was delicious and the food prices were very, very affordable. We had a full veggie brekkie, a big brekkie and two coffees and paid less than $37! Totally unheard of these days. Coffee snobs probably won’t love this place but I’m not one of those! Will be back for sure.
