We had the $55 banquet, it was superb! Perhaps the wine prices were a little over inflated with a bottle of Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris at $60 but the delicious faultless food kept coming, beef ribs melt in the mouth, pork belly superb, the salt and pepper egg plant amazing and the desserts fabulous, brilliant, definitley recommend!

Friends from Liverpool UK love Vietnamese food so of course we took them to Gondola Gondola, had the Banquet and the food never stopped coming every dish with its own special taste, our friends said it was the best Vietnamese they had eaten and the staff and atmosphere 5 star.

We visited Gondola Gondola for dinner last night (which wasn’t very well air conditioned for a 34 degree evening) and found the food to be enjoyable. We started with the chicken curry puffs and daughter in law eggs which were small teasers full of flavour.

We then shared three of the larger items the beef short rib, the chicken pad Thai and crispy squid. These were nice enough dishes but the short rib was a little fatty and the squid a tad over cooked. The pad Thai was presented with an egg net which was cool. Nothing that wildly impressed but still a pleasant enough experience.

Hmmm... yummy chicken pad thai. Bit pricey for a pad thai but worth it as the ambiance, vibe and crowd was really good on the friday night. Will come back for the salt and pepper eggplant as it looked good.

One of my favourite restaurants in Adelaide! I can’t go past the Soft Belly Rib every time I come here - seriously just get it! It’s served in a coconut!! And as if that’s not cool enough, it’s also packed with pork that just falls apart and the yummiest sauce ever. We also went the classic Chicken Pad Thai which never disappoints! The only downside is that their drinks are pretty pricey, but overall it’s a great dining experience!

Great city place, quick service, great food and the bill was surprisingly lower than expected. Great prices for it's wonderful city location.

Popped back for dinner before the cricket and the food was still excellent. The salt and pepper tofu was tasty however, the chunks were quite large which made it a bit difficult to eat with chopsticks - also affected that tofu to crunchy outside ratio. The banana blossom salad was delicious with a good mix of chicken and salad and some huge prawns on top. The banh xeo was also everything is should be. The friendliness of the service is a bit hit and miss - there was one staff member that was lovely - all smiles and happy service however, our other staff member was quite sour which was unfortunate.

Great Asian fusion food! We had the salt and pepper eggplant , baked Barra and scallops. All the dishes were incredibly delicious! Only downside is when they are busy, the service can be mediocre..

Food is amazing but need to invest in some better exhaust fans. Restaurant very smokey & very loud but I’ll definitely be back for them chicken and corn dumpling 😍😍

Amazing food, we had the beef which was overcooked but still tasted delicious, the flavours were there. The salt and pepper eggplant was a nice touch to the entree as was the papaya salad. Unfortunately the only let down was the slow and unattentive service. There was no sense of urgency.

All my friends have not shut up about this Peel Street spot since the beginning of time (or since it opened in 2015). You can only book a table for large groups, which means if you’re a couple you’re left in the draughty third-class front section, perched at a tiny table that could have come from the local kindy. As consolation, you get a front row seat to the comings and goings of Hindley Street and, on a Saturday night, what a show! But, the hawker-style street food makes everything right in the world again. It’s absolutely divine. The chicken and corn dumplings are from another planet.

A fabulous eatery. Modern Asian, always vibrant, open late, perfect location for when one is out and about. Many deliciously fresh options. Love it!

Quite simply, the most flavoursome food we have eaten in memory. Delivered by a passionate team of knowledge staff, the experience was amazing. Sweet/sour lamb shoulder and the banana blossom shredded chicken were perfect. Wine list well priced to.

Very flavoursome food with excellent, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The kingfish, fried tofu and pork belly were well executed! The wine list were fairly priced. Thanks for the memorable night.

Book in if you haven't already. I can't believe I waited so long to go here. The food was awesome the service was great and the price was really reasonable. Between the 4 of us we got 3 small dishes and 2 mains (and 1 dessert to share) add 2 bottles of wine ($75 each) and it was still only about $80 per person.

Fantastic food! Absolutely fantastic. Three of us got 1 "smaller" dish [eggplant and okra], 1 larger dish [lamb shoulder] and a dessert [chocolate gelato] and it ended up being about $30pp and we were bursting at the seams. Every single dish was brilliant in taste and presentation. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice and the service is also wonderful. Will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes!!

Good food and atmosphere. All the food was delicious. Our only complaint was that the pork belly dish we ordered had very similar salad and flavour profile to the shredded chicken, not a huge problem as we loved the flavours, but I imagine this could frustrate people looking for some variety across the meal.

The food was exceptional! Best food we've had so far in Adelaide!!! From the first bite my eyes just lit up with the amazing combination of flavours. It really did satisfy my pallet. I went with my husband at short notice they fit us in, the service was second to none, large portions and quick service. We had the king prawns, braised lamb shoulder and peanut butter parfait desert. Highly recommend this place for locals and everyone visiting Adelaide, it's an absolute must!!!

If I have one take away from this restaurant, it’s texture, texture, texture! Thoughtful plates bursting with flavour in a chill, laid back environment (think: exposed brick and stone, open concept). It is hipster with a fresh imaginative menu and young staff. The height they get on their plates is impressive and eye catching. Wonderful plating as well with tons of colour and texture. Incredibly busy- got a last minute res at the bar at 830 for two. The resto was full when we walked in and by the time we left so make sure to book a res!

We came to Adelaide for a long weekend to experience the food and wine on offer and Peel St was our first port of call on a Friday lunchtime. I had made a booking to ensure we didn't miss out. We requested a feed-me style meal as we couldn't decide what we fancied, and were offered 5 courses of deliciousness (and a 6th - dessert - which we had to take home with us) for $75 each. The portion sizes were big! (maybe a little too large - we were very hungry but still couldn't finish everything!) and although the flavours / style of the dishes were a little "samey" - think corinader, thai-style marinades and seasonings, each dish was very well executed, fresh and balanced. There was enough protein on the plates for us both to feel like it was bang for your buck, and plenty of veggies for balance. The second course (rainbow trout sashimi) was outstanding. The third course, the banana flower chicken dish(?) was nice but I felt the chicken was a little underwhelming in taste compared to the other dishes and the portion was far too large (not often I complain about that but I don't like food waste!). The peanut butter parfait we took home with us was to-die-for! The service was incredible, we were very well looked after from start to finish and didn't need to wait long for drinks or dishes to arrive. We left a tip for this reason. The restaurant was jam-packed full by the time we left at 2pm. Although quite expensive for a "lunch", it was well worth it and I'm sure that everything on the regular menu would have been worth a try too. Would definitely visit again.
