One of the best mid-range sushi places in Adelaide.
1) The quality of the serving ware and the attention to detail is fabulous.
2) The sushi rice is melt-in-the-mouth - top notch - not a sushi rice-making machine in sight.
3) The sashimi is fresh and delicate - how sashimi should be.
4) NO train in sight. Love!
I didn't like that there were rolls with cream cheese in because that is wrong on so many levels and too much like train sushi - but there was enough on the menu to distract and they allow for replacements.
I would have liked red bean paste with the green tea ice cream. Hope they add that without increasing the price.
Will definitely come back.
It was a great experience in sushi planet, good food, friendly staff. I ordered the delivery many times, but it was the first time I dine in the restaurant. It was amazing.
Been thrice or maybe more number of times. Good to see that they have expanded their menu.
Staff is friendly to customise the menu. Definitely a must go. Lot of vegetarian options for my friends 😊
It was a great night out for our 13 year old sushi obsessed birthday boy and family. Glad we gave this restaurant a chance as it exceeded my expectations as I thought it would be focused mainly on sushi but it offered more selection than I anticipated. The service was friendly and the food was delicious even the desert was lovely. Great for all ages as there where some young people on there way out to town, food loving couples and our mixed age family.. everyone praised the food to the staff on leaving which is nice to hear. No photos as we were to busy eating it as soon as it came.
Came here for dinner on Good Friday. The restaurant was not too busy on arrival but more people came through while we were dining.
We ordered a few different items on the menu, they forgot the miso soup but it was probably a good thing considering we were very full by the time we had finished our meal. We ordered sashimi, sushi, gyoza, tempura and yakitori. Everything was delicious and tasted very fresh.
Service overall was friendly and pleasant.
Good portioning for price and food was fresh and tasted really good. Lots of variety of drinks and food. Staff were friendly and the overall atmosphere was good
I have seen this beautiful photo of sushi in instagram and I must say I have been enticed because of that. We came here for lunch and thankfully there are lots of car parks where it is situated. The place itself has a nice feel to it. And the staff were friendly enough. We ordered the lunch special where you can have 2 different sushi roll for this instance we had the spicy Tuna and alaska roll which is accompanied by karage chicken and miso soup. Both the sushi was OK but the karage chicken was delicious. We also had takoyaki, this was also very tasty. The kingfish salad was very refreshing, thanks to the dressing they had used. Overall, a pleasant experience. I would like to come back to try more of their dishes and to eat more of that karage chicken and takoyaki.
God I love Sushi Planet! I've been about 6 times now and it never disappoints. The sushi is always beautifully fresh, and reasonable priced for the quality. Some of my favourites are the aburi salmon roll, vegetable tempura (although a touch oily), and classic edamame.
The service is attentive and the fit-out is very cool. I've eaten a lot of crap sushi in Adelaide, but this place is really special.
Love this place. Most of the item on the menu are beautiful. We had Alaskan Roll, Aburi Salmon Roll, Chicken Wing, Chicken Karage, and Tempura Shrimp Roll. They offer variety menu. All sushi are pretty good, but I do like alaskan roll. All up was $50 include two drinks. The service is good too, premises are clean and cozy.
Incredible sushi! All pieces of meat were just fresh, tasty, and simply perfect - which in my opinion, is very hard to find in Adelaide. I was also lucky enough to have scored a Groupon voucher which made the dining experience that much better!
The food was absolutely delicious and for the quality it is a fair price. The ambiance is perfect, the music isn’t too loud and it suited the vibe. The decor is simplistic and modern.
The soft shell crab and chicken sushi rolls were amazing. I highly recommend this place, I’m here for 3 more nights and I plan on coming back before I fly home to Melbourne.
Delicious. Recommended by a YouTube blogger and true to his word, Sushi Planet delivered! Super fresh. Prepared on the spot with unique flavours. Clever little morsels and delightful treats. Try the tempura mixed seafood. Pleasant take away service.
Came here for lunch with some mates who wanted sushi. It's not something I eat but I gave it a go. Everything looked super appealing. Some tasted better than others but it's all subjective. Service was quick and friendly. A variety of options on the menu. Ample parking. Nice ambience. The platters shown were shared between four people and were plentiful.
It's a really good Japanese restaurant. The environment, food and service are quite fine. The staff is very friendly and caring. I personally especially like Sushi, Sashimi, Teriyaki Beef Don, Miso Soup and Seaweed Salad, etc. One hour of free parking is provided for customers behind the restaurant. Highly recommended.
Food is fantastic! One of my favourite Japanese restaurants. Always a must-visit on my trips!
Sushi was fresh and delicious. I thought it was very reasonably priced and unintentionally ordered more than we could eat. The interior was clean and well layered out. I found that the service was slow, and may need to pre order in future
Very good. Food was excellent. Saki was the best. Still good.
Great service, delicious food. Great atmosphere
