Came here as couldn’t get a table at Jock Zonfrillo’s sister restaurant next door but really wasn’t disappointed at all. On my own so sat at the bar, service was very friendly without being intrusive and a perfect place to sit, particularly if you’re solo dining. Shout out to the bartender working (who’s name I missed) who’s service was excellent throughout.
Had the “life’s to short” 4 course menu for $77 which was more like a 5 & 1/2 course option with freshly baked bread & whipped butter, followed by a mortadella sandwich, Marco’s pate, an amazing squid dish, jerk chicken, a side of roasted pumpkin and a rhubarb pavolova to finish!
Fantastic value, great food, friendly service, would recommend to anyone visiting Adelaide

The fire pit lamb shoulder for 2 was amazing! Everything seemed nice and home cooked and delicious - i wouldnt say amazing or out of this workd though - but yep, definitely go the lamb. Good service and nice selection of drinks so would certaily recommend for a night out

This place is absolutely wonderful. I have had several delicious dinners here. Tonight Emma served us and she was exceptional. JB was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Greta has previously served me and provided fantastic service. They are all a credit to the uniquely personal service of this place, which I really enjoy. All the staff are friendly and attentive, with a fantastic knowledge of the food and wine. The food is fresh, interesting, delicious and well cooked. I will be back!

We'd been here before a couple of years ago and had a great time, amazing food, great service, stayed until late having cocktails at the bar.
This time was different. Our booking was for 6:30. We arrived a 6:45 with good friends hoping to have a lovely evening. We were immediately informed we'd have to be "done and dusted" by 8:15.
2 very nice friendly young who were over busy and looked harried at. Obviously waitressing was well understaffed. Getting service was challenging at times as waitressing staff rushed by making sure not to make eye contact. Drinks took ages to arrive, I mentioned to one of my fellow diners that we should order 2 at at time as it was so hard to get top ups. One of our side plates didn't arrive, and the bread arrived near the very end of the meal. We were reminded to eat up as we needed to be out of there by absolutely no later than 8:20 Obviously no time for dessert and coffee and after dinner chat. The food was good. Overall a very disappointing experience. Worst I've had at a 'decent' restaurant' What happened to this place? Plenty of other good restaurants in town. Best avoid this one.

Fantastic service from our waitress and the cocktails from Ben were amazing. Great value for the 4 course meal we received and the flavours were absolutely perfect, could not fault a thing all night. Thoroughly enjoyed our night at Bistro Blackwood. Highly recommended.

Cosy restaurant with friendly and professional staff. The salad is so nice. Unfortunately, my slow cook beef was a little bit salty and although really want to try the traditional fire pit taste, the kitchen could not make a half lamb shoulder for me instead a whole shoulder which I cannot have it all. Good restaurant for dinning out.

Had the sunday roast. Excellent food for the cheap price, staff provided and attended to every need we needed (particularly topping up my dad's beer). Ben and Brooke were the best duo of workers and definitely recommend if you want to experience a top Adelaide restaurant!
