Yummy light tasty Vietnamese food. Sat on the balcony in the sun.
Food was good. Traditional with a twist. Not sure about the kale in the dish with the fish though.
There was a mix up with the wine where the bottle we ordered was no linger available but worked to our advantage as the bottle we ordered was fantastic.
Pleasant experience overall.
Went to District 4 for date night - loved the balcony set up.
Although on the menu, the wine we asked for was not available.
The food was also very nice.
Will definitely go back.
It was a cold and wet Thursday night and we needed a big bowl of warming goodness so we headed to the bright lights of District 4. I have been for lunch previously so knew that the food was good. Needing soupy goodness but not seeing it on the dinner menu we asked our extremely friendly waiter if it was possible - no problems. The pho and bun bo hue hit the spot. The cold rolls were heavy on the greens and herbs which I prefer. This was a bright little oasis on a dreary night.
Food was good. We had pork ribs, chicken slaw and barramundi. All was enjoyable for hubby myself and our 8 year old daughter as share plates. Reasonably priced and better than expected for Vietnamese in Adelaide. We are from Melbourne so I wrongly had lower expectations, but our dishes were lovely. We didn’t try the pho as we might be too fussy about pho! As we have our favourite.
Great ambience, but damn, $15 for a small bowl of pho? Now that's crazy! The pho was a 3.5 at best considering there was barely any rice noodles, but I've been a bit more generous to give a 4 because the broth was enjoyable.
Chargrilled pork chops and rice has the smokiness flavour to die for. A secret gem hidden among other restaurants in Adelaide. Will definitely be returning to try their other dishes.
What a hidden treasure this wonderful place is . The space upstairs is clean and airy with sliding windows leading to a balcony. The staff were professional and happy .The food was sensational, every dish we ordered was a 10 out of 10 , fresh ingredients great flavours, nothing was over spiced or over salted.Every sauce was delicate which meant you could taste the meats and other ingredients. Cant wait to experience it all again .
FABULOUS FOOD! This is a new favourite in Adelaide. Cheap, Tasty, Friendly staff, and great atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back regularly
This place is amazing! A new fave restaurant- ultra friendly staff and the food is to die for! Already been three times in the past 2 months!! Vietnamese chicken slaw and pho are outstanding! The lemongrass chicken is also very yummy! Definitely recommended!!
Lovely fresh and vibrant food. Saturday night wasn't too busy so it was lovely and relaxing.
Authentic Vietnamese dishes (except white rice was served instead Com Tam) with nice ambient and customer service. Recommended: Vietnamese filtered coffee with condensed milk (iced)
Food was good, staff were friendly and service was prompt. They made a minor error with one plate of food ordered but rectified this very quickly and offered us a 10 percent discount for the error. I insisted on paying more than the discounted price because their response and service was excellent and the food was very good. The salt and pepper egg plant was delicious.
My partner and I have been to this place a few times.
I made a booking and the staff asked if I preferred to sit anywhere, which I was very pleased with because whenever I make a booking in particular, I always stay away from windows and doors because of the cold breeze. Most wait staff don't ask this so I give them a thumbs up for it. On dinner night, our request was granted.
We arrived just a few minutes before most of the crowd came, though the restaurant was actually quite packed already. Our order took some time to arrive, which was understandable from my perspective due to the number of people that were there already.
The food my partner and I ordered was the same as the previous time we visited to see if it was consistent, and it was. We ordered salt and pepper eggplant and cubed scotch fillet. The eggplant was cooked properly, none of that unfavorable bitterness at the back of your tongue. The scotch fillet was soft and tender and the sauce was amazing.
Multiple of their staff apologized to us because they believed our food took a long time to come out. At the end, the store took the initiative to put a discount on our food, even without us commenting on it taking a while to be brought out. Their customer service is well above average. Overall the experience was great.
I can't fault this place. Food was excellent, place was very clean, fast and super friendly service and just a great all round experience. The staff had just launched a new menu item which I had and were very keen to get my feedback which was really thoughtful. Very well priced and a great location.
It's hard to review D4 based off my lunch experience. I didn't find the lunch menu inspiring, and the food took 30 minutes to come due to pork needing grilling. Apparently the dinner menu is more extensive.
The food was enjoyable, and the atmosphere pleasant.
