This place serves up a very good hot chocolate. Always go past their back door and enter their terrace which gives such a calm feeling to a nice time.
They're apparently famous for their sweets, but I didn't try it out. Yet their drinks had no complaint as it was good.
Yum indeed. Peanut butter brownie crepe was awesome. The rocher waffle was OK - was hoping for it to be crispier. Great customer service though.
Great sweet goodness here and nice matcha lattes. Service from the girl is a bit slow, she stuffed up a couple of times. But the food was great and that’s what we came for!
This place is so far one of the best dessert place in town! Why? They have atleast 15 different type of hot chocolates and their dessert creations were picture perfect! They all taste amazing too!!
Also I like the vibe of the place. It feels like you're at home on a rainy cold day while sipping their hot chocolate and devouring their freshly made waffles.Ugh it's the best! It's a must try !!!!!
Amazing staff! Very fast and very friendly. Last time I went, I ordered the crepes with strawberry and ice cream. The chocolate drizzle was to die for. Price is a bit high, but very worth in my opinion. Will be coming back for the waffles too
Went here with my partner tonight for date night. Usually the service is very quick, however it took over 30 minutes of waiting for our single fondue before we decided to leave. Personally, we'd like to commend and thank the manager on his efforts this evening, despite how busy and understaffed he clearly was. He served us with enthusiasm, and was very understanding when we asked for a refund.
Took away a White chocolate macadamia cheesecake. It was not bad. Rather dense, though, and not as creamy as I had hoped. I suspect it may not have been that fresh. Nonetheless it was still tasty and would no doubt satisfy a sweet tooth.
Friendly people working there. Food was nice, ordered the waffles with strawberries and chocolate. I feel like every time I go there, the prices slightly go up and the serving sizes go down. Don't think I'd go again, very average overall.
I remember Chocolatree being more enjoyable last time I visited. The hot chocolates are still fantastic - hazelnut praline FTW! - but my Salted Caramel Sundae left a lot to be desired. Those white chocolate brownie pieces were quite unpleasant, and the fudge far too thick to scrape off the inside of my glass. My friend's Creme Pot was the better of the two, without blowing us away.
I'll be sure to stick with waffles and hot chocolate should I return.
Made plans to meet friends after dinner for coffee and desert.
The choice was Chocolatree, we thought the name was "The Chocolate Tree" so could not find it in Zomato, Google to the rescue.
As the football was on at Adelaide Oval I thought the parking would be a challenge but it only took a few minutes to find a park.
It was very cold and the tables out the front were subject to the cold breezes and inside looked full but to our surprise there was a larger dining area out the back. It was well shelters and had a number of gas heaters (wall mounted and freestanding amongst the tables).
The staff were very nice particularly those taking the orders, the waiters could have been better, they just placed the items on the table without trying to give them to the person who preferred the item.
The selection of deserts is very good with a bias towards chocolate as you would expect.
I had a jasmine green tree which was nice and a citrus juice mix (do love free juice). The sticky date was my selection which was tasted good but was small compared to the other deserts I saw on the night. Michele had an Eton mess that looked great. Michele enjoyed her hot chocolate.
We all had different deserts and all were happy, also ordered a few "cakes" from the display cabinet, my favourite was the citrus tart but the was a heart shaped raspberry cake that has a very unusual texture with intense flavours.
In summary a good end to the night, I will be back.
The food and hot chocolates here are divine.
The cafe itself inside has a good amount of seating but isn't huge. But they have seating out front and also out back in the enclosed "garden" area.
They have a LOT of flavours of hot chocolate so if you're looking for something other than just plain choc flavour, I highly suggest the choc mint and butterscotch.
The desserts are yummy, well priced and they don't drown them in too much chocolate so it's decadent without being sickly.
Highly recommended.
Loved the place and super friendly staff.
The mocha was really nice, excellent taste, the cheesecake? Wow! Just delectable! Thanks Nima ad Mahgol for introducing this exquisite café
Cheers Mona and Ali 😊
I'd recommend other fellow sweet tooths to this venue, great chocolate crepes and well priced hot chocolates (giant mugs).
First time visiting and impressed with the food & its presentation! I ordered a Rocky rode waffle and it was great! Plus the menu has variety of range to choose from waffles to crepes! However, the more lighting in the dinning area will be great as it was dull lights coming on the table!
Always great service and great food if you want a coffee or sweets. Only down fall I found is the fairy floss has been removed off of the candy bar crepe but apart from that all good. However now edited since first review and fairy floss can be added once again making it a superb dessert
Yummy with lovely service too! My friend and I really enjoyed the Smash It which we both had (guacamole, feta & dukkah on toasted sourdough) - really good! And both happy with our nutty latte and mocha. I’d come back here for sure 😀
