Review Sparkke At The Whitmore - Adelaide

The food and drinks were incredible, service impeccable. We loved the decor and the whole experience. We have quite specific dietary requirements and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Highly recommend for an evening out!

Was really excited to try the menu but at the door was told to show proof of vaccination status. Both me and my partner are double vaxxed but we won't stand for people being segregated in that way. For a company that prides themselves of equality and stems there buisness entirely on that, it was truly shocking to see how poorly they've adjusted to the current situation. I've followed you from the beginning, but you've officially lost me.

Great beer!! The vibes are great in here. Huge selection of beer. I love sour beer and they’ve got 4 sour beers in the menu. Highly recommend the IPA and Margarita sour beer.

Went for an end of uni semester/early birthday treat for one. The staff were respectful and catered to my requirements perfectly. I was recommended the "greenslade crumbed buttermilk chicken schnitzel" which came with a slaw and fries (not pictured). I added the sparkke red Ale mustard aioli on the side. The crumb was beautifully crisp and complemented the juicy chicken beautifully. The apple, kohlrabi, and sea parsley slaw had an acidity element to it from the green apple. I paired it with a marachino Cherry mocktail. For starters I had the "Spencer Gulf king prawns". They were easy to pull apart and the juice was soaked up by the sheoak sourdough to create a delicious finisher for the dish. The heirloom tomatoes were warm and a perfect portion. For dessert I had the "chocolate ganache and raspberry sorbet". The ganache had a beautiful consistency and and went perfectly with the sorbet and on its own. I paired it with an oat milk hot chocolate which enhanced the chocolate flavour. It was a very welcoming and accommodating venue and experience. Would recommend for a quiet dinner or an adventure with a group of friends.

Organised a function for a 50th birthday at Sparkke. Lucy (manager) did an amazing job for the event. From the set up, to the running of the event, Lucy and the staff at Sparkke were incredibly attentive and accommodating. The grazing boards were good quality and delicious!! Definitely a place to consider for your next function. Thank you guys!!

Had a beautiful lunch time at Sparkke Restaurant. Their food Menu will lead you through a great fusion of of Asian and Western food. Love the dumplings and Lamb in lettuce cups .. and I am amazed by their own range of brewery beers and variety of Gin base cocktails. The star here is the service, staff extremely attentive and have good knowledge about their menu to suggest. Will come back again and again :)

The Sparkke Change Beverage Company have done a fantastic job transforming the Whitmore into a welcoming pub with a great atmosphere. There is a bar area, dining area, a rooftop bar and bottle shop. It was a great place to sit back with a beer and a snack. The other meals coming out looked great too. The staff were really friendly.

A beautiful restaurant and great food to top it off. Met a couple of friends over at Sparkke for dinner and it was a night to remember. Chose the Feed me menu and we were fed! We were a party of 6 and thus some of the photos are of larger quantities, please bear in mind. All the dishes from the start to the end were well presented and tasted like a million bucks. The Sour dough and Dhal butter was an instant hit at the table, the butter was creamy and so satisfying. The next thing to arrive were the croquettes, so delicate but packed a mighty punch of flavour. The samosa and the lamb pockets were next and they tasted as one would expect, nothing too exciting. Then came the mushroom dumplings, my God they were delicious, so tender and the broth was just amazing. The crispy eggplant was a surprising twist I didn’t see coming, not a fan of soft eggplant but this was really good. By this point we were already full but there was more. We were then served duck, chicken, pulled pork and even a roasted cabbage. I personally enjoyed the Duck the most, the parsnip purée and the artichoke chips were amazing. The pulled pork was also nice and succulent. The chicken was my least favourite but in my defence at this point I had tasted so many amazing preparations of food, the chicken was a little too simple. We ended the night with some sorbet and some others got the chocolate tarts. The sorbet came in 3 flavours, mango, raspberry (not sure) & sparkling white wine sorbet, yes you read it right. They have alcoholic sorbet and soo good. The tart was a bit hard to get through but I will not complain, it tasted nice. All in all an amazing evening, good job team Sparkke.

I have wanted to visit Sparkke for such a long time. When I finally did, I wasn't disappointed, in fact I was over the moon with tears welling up in my eyes. Yes, I tear up when I eat exquisite food, like you would when you hear a beautiful opera, look at a moving piece of art work or watch a beautiful ballet. Well, this is the way I interpret food, as art. What I had in front of me that day at lunch was a piece of genius.<br/><br/>To read the rest of my review, click on the link below

We visited the Sparkke at the Whitmore last night with a large group. We were all looking forward to it as the new renovations are amazing and the atmosphere is really great! Upon booking we were asked to do a $44 feed me menu due to the amount of people on our table. We tossed up at the time if we should order separately or do the feed me, however decided because we were all quite hungry after big days of sport commitments we would go the feed me assuming it would be a smart value for money decision. Food came out in courses: appetiser, entree, main and two sides. The food was delicious however after completing the food we had each had 1 half pitta with dip, 3 small dumplings, 2-3 pieces of very thinly sliced beef and a small amount of broccolini and cucumber salad. No where near the same amount of food we would have received if we had spent $44 on two separate mains and Maybe a side and then shared amongst our table. We did tell staff about this at the time, they informed we would get to speak to the manager, however we then watched that staff member go to the manager and rudely scrunch his face up at us as he clearly complained about us, and the manager proceeded to eat her dinner and not come to us for any reassurance or hospitality. This is a huge shame as they had amazing food, some really great staff, an awesome wine list and great atmosphere but unfortunately we will not be recommending to friends. We proceeded to another venue after this to have a second meal which is upsetting and led to a really expensive night.
