Rasan and his team recently catered our wedding. From the start, they were passionate and knowledgable about the food down the finest detail. This flowed through into the taste of each dish that was carefully hand picked for our wedding based on our tastes and feedback. We couldn't recommend Surjit's highly enough and can't wait to return to the restaurant again soon! Thank you again so much for making everything perfect for us!

I must say each dish was delicious and hit different taste bud. I was so impressed with the food that I had to go an compliment the caterers. My fav was Mutton roganjosh and butter chicken. I will definitely come to try other dishes.

We had Surjit cater for our wedding, and we found the experience to be a mixed bag. Rasan, who was the representative managing the catering for us, was quite difficult to get in touch with. He attributed this due to Covid, which is understandable, but we were left in the dark and it would always be on us to follow up with him as he wouldn't reach out proactively.
When we finally got in touch with him (which was about 3-4 weeks before the wedding) he was apologetic about it and was comfortable to speak with.
He offered us a good rate for the catering, including offering a variety of snacks during the ceremony in addition to canapes, starters, mains and dessert for the reception. The non-veg dishes were great, however, the veg food wasn't as good.
He had reached out to the venue in advance and developed a good rapport with the venue caretaker, so that on the day of the wedding everything went smoothly. Rasan and his staff were great in their food preparation, presentation and service.
All in all, the food was decent, the presentation was excellent, but we think the communication could've been done better.
Cannot rate Surjits more highly - the best Indian food and family in Sydney. Rasan goes above and beyond - taking the time to get to know what you and the family want, love and need. We wanted him to cater our wedding but he was already booked but he did our Mehendi and a number of family dinners and he went all out like it was our wedding! As a half-Indian/half-Aussie wedding party Rasan was so skilful in creating a menu that would surprise non-Indians and also delight the Indian guests. The lamb cutlets were an absolute hit. 1 year later every one of our guests still raves about how amazing it was and wants to go back!
Surjits Catering always delivers, the food is phenomenal. We highly recommend their soya chaap, almond mango kulfi and rose creme brûlée. Rasan is an absolute pleasure to work with and my husband and I cannot recommend him enough. His work ethic, his passion for his purpose and professionalism, all shine through even in times of adversity.

Four star for the pricing. I just felt it was a bit expensive than it should've been .
Three stars for the flavor. This place is no good if you want to have the traditional indian food and taste the spice. I do understand that they have a lot of local customers and for them the flavor is perfect.
Two stars for the portion size and presentation. You should really work on this.
Overall i still want to rate them five stars for how good the hospitality was. Will certainly be back.
