We were really looked after well. The food was superb, as was the company. Thank you Jessica van Nooten for an amazing lunch, every dish just perfect and to die for. Can't recommend highly enough.
A menu to delight all tastes. Friendly, and attentive staff and a fantastic relaxed atmosphere. Could not find fault with this place and would definitely return.

Ilona Staller is located in the Art Deco building on the corner of Carlisle and Nelson Street in Balaclava. This is a lovely spot for a fun casual lunch or dinner with friends or family. With its funky decor and great vibe, you can sit back and enjoy the delicious food and the comfy booths – all whilst being looked after by their friendly team of knowledgeable staff.
What a great place for a drink. The service was excellent! The staff were great and the barman, fantastic.
I really felt like I was in a 60/70’s movie, with the old school bar, and the old school Italian restaurant vibe. How fun.
I had a Campari Spritzer which was absolutely delicious! Yes yes yes hahaha
My partner had a shot of gin, from the Melbourne Gin Company which is amazing!! This is an independently owned craft gin company which had some of the best gin that I’ve tried. Mmnn lol
The crowd as this place was more mature, but I loved the Art Deco vibe and the James Bond feel to this place.

One of my favorite local places, which has fabulous in season food, and amazing service, such a great quality experience all around. It always feels special to meet friends or family for a meal here. Fab wine list and incredible desserts. Went again recently for the NYE set menu (which at other good places has been disappointing) for the first time and it was just as good as always. The best steak ever had by one of my dining companions.

I had a barramundi, not life changing but very nice. Excellent service and bread and butter at the table as a starter. Nice decor. Would return.
Have been here a few times over the years. Lovely resteraunt. Quality food, everything was pleasant from the sides to the dessert. Would reccomend.
The food is always very good, and the service assured, friendly but professional. Everytime I've been there (and I've been there lots), I've always left happy and sated, no matter what I've ordered.
Their weekday lunch specials are good value, their Sunday lunches even better!

My mum had her 60th here last year. This review is very overdue. Dom was fantastic. She sat down with my mum and made sure everything was planned perfectly so my mum wouldn't have any worries. We were in the function room upstairs. The food was INCREDIBLE!!! The fish was a standout for me. The service was prompt and friendly and the cake was fantastic!!! Best cake I have ever had. These guys know their desserts. My mum said it was the best party she had ever had. We were so so impressed as we're her guests. Ilona Stalker staff really went above and beyond for us. We can't thank you guys enough. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Great food and service! After a truly horrible experience at Tulum. We had a pleasant dinner here. The staff were very friendly and happy. Always smiling and super accommodating. The popper was delicious. A really nice meal and it saved the evening from the utter disaster of Tulum. Thank you all!

Beautiful decoration, great ambience and friendly efficient service. Everything we had was perfectly cooked and amazingly tasty. Almost impossible to beat at the cost.

Really really friendly great staff. They made the family I was with exceptionally welcome, bringing out colouring material for the children, never being fazed by anything, and always anticipating needs. The food was good and so were the drinks. But these are good people who should be supported. Highly recommended.
Me and my partner love this place! They have a great selection of food and drinks on their menu. Food is excellent and staff are very friendly and sympathetic!! Even when you don’t have a table booked, they try to do the best they can to accommodate you (If seats available of course).
