Friendly and welcoming staff. The espresso was amazing - and best of all - the fried chicken burger and chips are the best!
First time here today with my little family, food was delicious, staff very welcoming and friendly, service great and food came out quick. Will def be returning to try more from the menu, Keep up the great work
Soooo good. Fried chicken burger was so crispy and chips were close to perfection. Coffee was nice a strong and smooth 💖☕️
I really like this local cafe for quite a few different factors. They have lovely staff working there and its very popular, but they handle that very well. They have a great little courtyard and they also serve some nice food along with tea, coffee and drinks.
Ordered the breakfast burrito and the blueberry pancakes. Both were really generous portions especially the burrito. The pancakes were extremely light, fluffy and full of flavour which is hard to find!
The breakfast burrito had a number of different flavours to it, all which worked well together.
Definitely recommend a visit if you’re nearby.
We've driven past Ben so many times, its easy to spot if you're looking for it, but you might just as easily wizz past if you aren't paying attention. We actually weren't planning on stopping in but so glad we did. There's a decent amount of courtyard space out the back and two cute spots out the front. We didn't go inside as we had our dogs with us, but from the outside it looked cozy and comfortable. The menu was really good to read - we had the salmon balls (plus a poachie) and smashed avo, both with sides of bacon. The food was delicious - we couldn't fault anything, and the servings were generous, coming in about $65. We were all coffeed out so went for almond milk chai's, and they were delicious, served on a platter with the chai, cup and a decent amount of honey so you can sweeten as you like. You get a good 1.5 chai's from the little pot :) They use Milk Lab almond milk, so straight up they're in my good books! Service was prompt and with a friendly chat and smile. Bringing your fur-babies is guaranteed to get you more attention :p - This place is sure to become our local, close enough to walk, if I am ever that energetic! Was a bit cold and wet on the day we were there, so I was distracted with keeping warm and forgot to take photos!
A nice place to sit down and read the paper. Inside or outside. Pet friendly. Say hi to tiffany. She always has a smile on her face and is very helpful. Jess is just a great chief
I absolutely love this place. The coffee is always on point & the food is always perfect. I love all the new additions you’ve added to the menu too. The staff are super friendly which is always good to see & the outdoor seating area out the back is perfect in warmer weather. I love that I can bring my dog for an arvo catch up with friends!
Overall: I only came here for the fritters, and they did not disappoint!
Food: I added a side of bacon to the corn and zucchini fritters. So yummy! Good amount of food. Love the avo and relish, and the cute addition of sesame seeds. Mmmm.
Drink: Hot chocolate was great, especially on this freezing Melbourne day.
Service: Very friendly. I visited mid week, so not many people. I'll return when I'm next in the area!
Amazing coffee and a wonderfully creamy chia pudding balanced with with perfect texture from fruits, nuts and granola. Yum yum yum! Also plenty of newspapers to choose from on a Sunday morning!
If you love gourmet smallgoods and find yourself in the Balwyn area, we recommend setting your GPS navigator to Boccaccio at 1050 Burke Road, Balwyn. You will see an IGA sign but this is no ordinary IGA – in addition to the recent, modern renovations, you will be surrounded by gourmet small goods from around the world. Cheeses, pastas, oils, breads, you name it, along with a wine store with over 3000 wines.
BENS HOTCAKES ARE AMAZING, I’ll honestly continue ordering them until they’re taken off the menu (please don’t) Nice coffee too and lovely staff!
