The restaurant was very busy for a Saturday evening - we had booked an 8.15 table and had to wait a few minutes for the table to be ready - if you really want to eat her at a weekend, I would recommend booking in advance. We opted for the $70 banquet. Service was friendly and the food arrived very quickly with little waiting time between courses. Other than the dumplings the food isn't typically Asian, but the dishes were flavoursome and the standouts for food were the smoked trout and fennel salad, the pork dumplings and beef cheeks. A litre of a gin cocktail for 3 to share was good value at $30, whilst the glass of rose at $24 a little less so.
Enjoyed the stunning view and lively atmosphere. Our group of 4 had a $70/pp banquet. Impressed with such an attentive and professional service. The series of food were continuously served at right timing. All the dishes were perfectly cooked and well presented; somehow I myself didn’t find them special/unique in term of flavour. Without the fantastic view and that exceptional service, I didn’t want to pay that much. The highlight of this banquet was the dessert-loved its moist texture and delicate taste. Great dining experience.
Beautiful restaurant with stunning views. Food was delicious, enjoying many items from the banquet option. Service was attentive but not obtrusive with a nice touch of a complimentary drink for my partners birthday.
My only gripe would the ambiance seemed a little off with the restaurant filled with patrons noise so I wouldn’t recommend it for a quiet, intimate, romantic venue, but more for a fun, group dining experience with great food.
Amazing food! Came here for the $40pp lunch banquet and it was great. The chicken ribs are delicious! The only fault/negative is how sweet some of the meals were... the beef was about to sweet for my liking but I still enjoyed every minute of it. The location and ambiance of the restaurant is what will be bringing me back to Madame Wu.

What a great experience! I have always wanted to check this place out and today was the perfect opportunity! Great views over looking Brisbane River and the Story Bridge and really friendly waitstaff make the atmosphere of this place “on point”!!!
You cannot go past the $40pp set banquet!!! Trust me, the value of this is phenomenal. The food was fantastic! I highly recommend the chicken ribs! The lovely blonde steward that served us was so lovely and accomodating! I will without a doubt be back here!!!

Across the Brisbane River is Madame Wu, a modern Asian fusion restaurant. Once you step inside, you immediately notice the attention to detail. It’s a bit Scandinavian, a bit Art Deco but it works. The food is delicious. It’s Asian but not really Asian. I loved the steamed lamb dumplings with eggplant and sichuan sauce (pictured). The staff are friendly and it’s definitely the perfect spot for a long leisurely lunch and a few cocktails. #madamewu #asianfusion
One of the best Asian fusion restaurants in Brisbane. We continue to return over and over again to this gorgeous place and are never disappointed. Do yourself a favour and book here now!
This restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and energetic. Food was equally delicious and they were very flexible with any changes to the dishes. We also ordered cocktails which were really yummy too. Highly recommend this place if you want a high quality dining experience for a very reasonable price.
Advice: Go heavy on the starters, dumplings and salads, they're the most exciting and then you can try more dishes. Scallop dumplings, moreton bay bug dumplings and duck buns are my favourite. Trout salad is delicious and fresh goes brilliantly with a glass of wine for lunch even just by itself. Sashimi is clean and vibrant, chicken ribs are crunchy and naughty but so gooood. Special fried rice with lup cheong is great too. Not saying the mains aren't great but I feel like if given the choice between mains and entrees I'd rather have more of the entrees than an extra main. If you are going for mains, I'd preference the beef cheeks braised in rock sugar etc. and the barramundi with jerusalem artichoke puree (though I think its pretty steep for 3 small pieces of a river fish - coral trout or something else would be better in my opinion). Also, don't neglect dessert. The pineapple roll cake is probably the best dessert in Brisbane. Inventive with the pineapple roll cake kind of being like a cake version of a Chinese new year pineapple tart, but paired with earl grey tea ice cream and fresh pineapple its dessert perfection. Couple glasses of wine or a cocktail by the river, what could be better? Book ahead of time and ask for a table along the balcony if you're in a 2 or small group, but beware, there are usually large groups for birthdays etc on the weekends, so if you want a quieter table just politely request that at the time of booking! Enjoy!
The sanga that made the news and l could see why. It was lovely. Service was great too. Madame Wu was one of the 14 restaurants that participated in the Brisbane's bug and oyster trail and they were one of my fav restaurants.
Squid sandwich with kewpie and pickled radish for $6 each
Great service all day. We chose the Banquet and struggled to finish it. Dishes are presented beautifully and great fans of flavours.
Great Cocktails too, the Madame Wu is highly recommended and the Sichan Margaritas are a great tool.
Excellent dinner here, we enjoyed the $75 banquet, Excellent starters, particularly though fish and coriander. Wonderful means great selection, much more than we could eat, had to take doggy bags. Just the dessert was a little lacking needed more sauce. Excellent service, fast food delivery And the noise levels were good until later, Even in the open air venue which was amazing with a stunning view of the Story Bridge
Dropped in very early hoping to get a table and were lucky - it's often booked solid, and we were even seated at a table with a good view of Story Bridge.
Delicious cocktails, good wine list and spectacular food - we shared half a roast duck:)
Service was good, and water was refilled almost automatically.
I would certainly go again.
We had a beautiful anniversary lunch here on Saturday. Food was absolutely delicious and interesting. Staff attentive and so kind and friendly. Lunchtime banquet at $50 each good value for such high quality dining. Table with a great view too. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.
