We had a great dinner. The lamb was a 10 out of 10 for me. The service was prompt and friendly. Thank you for being patient with our loud Greek ways. Many thanks.
Came here for a special dinner and was suitably impressed. Service was excellent, with lovely complementary morsels upon seating. Escargot for entre was delicious. My partner had the fish which was amazing, one of the best he's had. I tried the chicken which was very rustic and earthy. Would love to co.e back sometime.
Rated 3.5. Went here for mid-week dinner with the partner and utilised The Fork's discount offer.
There was complimentary baguette slices and salted butter to start.
As entrees, we ordered the 'Soupe de Jour', which was a delicious roasted tomato soup, fennel and plump scallops, and the special 'Peppered Venison Carpaccio', which did not seem like a true carpaccio but still well-cooked venison slices on a leafy salad.
For mains, we chose the 'Le Porc a la Bourguignonne', which consisted of succulent pork with creamy potato puree, and 'Le Canard a l'orange', which unfortunately missed the balance of citric flavours and was a little too sweet.
Smart casual ambience that fitted the 'cosy French' vibe. Friendly service. Reasonable prices - albeit we utilised The Fork discount special.
Overall, a reasonable dinner experience, however just missing out on that something extra special to define it from the other emerging French restaurant competitors in Brisbane.
Since my earliest memories of the Gabba, I could always remember my parents driving me past and being curious about the shop with the Eiffel tower decorating the outside of it. Having maintained my curiosity throughout the years, it's long been top of my list for date night spots. I can't believe it's taken me so long to make my way there, but I was super excited to go with Adam last week for our mid week date night.

One of the best French cuisine we have ever been!!! The restaurant is really well maintained (clean) and AMAZING Service from the Team!!
-> They served us with some Cheese breads (complimentary) - which was perfectly cooked with crispy on the outside and super soft inside. They also served us some fresh breads with Salted butter (complimentary as well) - nice and flavourful.
-> Mains 1 - PAN BRAISED BRISBANE VALLEY QUAIL SERVED WITH FALLS FARM ROASTED VEGETABLE - The dish was great with lots of flavours and even some new vegetables we tried. Generous portion! 4/5
-> Mains 2 - TASMANIAN SPRING LAMB RUMP with POTATO GRATIN and TRUFFLED FOREST MUSHROOM SAUCE - This dish was really Delicious and presentation was fabulous!!
Lamb (Medium rare) was perfectly cooked, Potato Gratin was the best - just melts in your mouth with tons of flavours and Sauce was perfect and creamy!! 5/5
-> Dessert - PASSION FRUIT AND GRAND MARNIER SOUFFLÉ - Soufflé was super soft and filled with flavours - One of the best desserts I have ever had!! 5/5
Would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone for Fine dining!!
A lovely restaurant with friendly wait staff. The new renovations to the bar are stunning and we enjoyed the range on the new menu. We enjoyed the degustation of entrees which allowed us to try a bit of each entree on the menu, especially considering we couldn’t decide which ones to order! The produce in the main dishes especially were of high quality and cooked to perfection. We were very impressed and will be back.
Nice food with good staffs, had a good experience there with my boyfriend. Especially for the soups, they are so amazing. Definitely will go again.
There's a lot to like about this iconic French restaurant in the inner city suburb of Woolloongabba.
So lovely to find an elegant dining room, simple white linen tablecloths/ fabric napkins and good quality glassware.
I'm not a fan of the butcher paper and fake candles but I understand they assist with costs.
The plates they use are just beautiful - shapes and styles providing a perfect canvas for the food.
Fairly simple menu offered in a fixed price or a la carte option. A table of 5 we chose different options and it was no problem
at all.
Food is classic French, very elegant and delicious.
I noticed that under the $55 menu option my entree was a smaller serve than the same in the a la carte serve- but that didn't bother me.
We did feel quite rushed as main courses arrived within seconds of the entree plates being cleared. However we asked for s break before dessert and that was no problem. Unfortunately parking is limited and restrooms are not easy to get to especially at night.
Lovely restaurant - we look forward to another visit in future.
Wonder birthday eve celebration here tonight with my mother her partner and my brother. The waitress is funny and professional and the food was amazing. I loved the duck and the 5 course entree and desert.
We had our anniversary dinner here and could not be happier. Food was delicious, well presented with perfect serving sizes. Service was brilliant. They made the extra effort to seat us in a quiet spot and write happy anniversary on our dessert plate (had requested a nice seat and mentioned the occasion on booking). Well worth the price for a nice treat.
We had NYE dinner, which was kind of Luxury experience in French cuisine. Champagne experience made it more enjoyable. The cod and pork were cooked in a special way, very tasty. The staff were so friendly. The whole experience was awesome.
Food was excellent! The gnocchi with that rich sauce was delicious! The Wagyu was cooked to perfection and the brioche to mop up all that gravy was definitely a good recommendation. Dessert was exceptional too!
I would come back just for the gnocchi! 😋
I've been wanting to check this place out for ages, my partner booked us in for a surprise birthday dinner. Omg, the food is incredible, my partner ordered the lamb, I was jealous because I got the pork belly. Don't get me wrong, I loved the pork belly! Any the point is, the food was awesome! We'll definitely go back! Also great views on the rooftop bar!
We had 5 course tasting menu with drinks. Really high quality food and fantastic service. Especially the Finnish waiter was on top of everything all the time. Highly recommend!
The restaurant is very cozy. Staff are very friendly. I didn't dare to eat the beef tartare, so it's my first time to try it. It was very tasty. A must try. Actually every course was all very delicious and you can feel the efforts that the chef and staff make on them.
Highly recommend if you are in brisbane!
I used to come here when it was a hole in the wall restaurant run by Michel Bonet. It dropped off after it changed hands but I can confirm that it has well and truly returned to form.
The dishes are so clever (duck eclairs!) and well executed. The Wagyu tartare with the beef tendon crisps was also fantastic.
Highly recommended!
For amazing flavours, superb customer service and great champagne, this restaurant is a must! Hubby and I shared each course and it was all packed with delicious mouth watering flavours and presented like artwork on a plate. The duck liver eclairs are just delectable. Every course was outstanding and we're glad we managed to fit in dessert which is just delightful. The atmosphere was lovely with low noise levels, so we could hear each other talk. We enjoyed the whole evening. A beautiful night out. Thank you C'est Bon, we'll be back!
Amazing food and cocktails.
To start we had the sourdough waffle bread. Interesting, but the hero was the butter. Sousvide butter with onion 👌🏼
Then the best two dishes of the night arrived. Beef tartare and crab. So tasty, some of the best dishes I’ve had in a Brisbane restaurant.
Quail and Pork came for mains with a side of artichoke. These were great, orange sauce on the quail was delicious. Artichoke also a knockout side dish.
Because the cocktails were so good didn’t order from their extensive wine list.
Will be back soon for sure. Dangerous this place is close to home…
