Came here for lunch with a friend the other day! Its an old school vietnamese venue, that has been around for years !!!
It has been many moons since i have been here, so it was time to revisit it as i have been craving Noodles for weeks. Ramen and Pho has been my weakness recently.Lunch special of $10 for a Large bowl of Bun Bo Hue (Spicy vermicelli noodles, with beef and pork) Wow! This is the kind of value and authenticity that i would usually get in Inala. In fact it may be even better. Don't be fooled by the basic decor...I thoroughly enjoyed this dish, and it is on par with some of the best Vietnamese food you can find in Brisbane, and the price point is just fantastic! This has the potential to be a weekly spot for me to visit, as i left feeling satisfied and full but still quite fresh.
Highly recommend!
Unexpectedly delicious Vietnamese dinner of fresh prawn and pork spring rolls, vermicelli salad with sugar cane prawns, fried rice and crispy chicken — all with tasty sauces and BYO. Simple setting but became crowded so get there early! 🥘
This place is consistently delicious - and one of our favourite Viet places in Brisbane! Take a bottle of BYO Sav Blanc along and start with some make your own fun rolls (because they are FUN) and share a few mains - we love the Crispy Skin Chicken with plum sauce and the Chicken with Chilli & Lemongrass. Service is always fast and you will leave feeling so satisfied, with a meagre bill to boot.
I had rice paper rolls and a veggie rice vermicelli salad. The salad was really yummy and I'd definitely come back for it.
Rice paper rolls were OK - not the best I've had but still yummy.
The service was really quick and friendly.
This place is super great value. They have really big servings, cheap prices, and the food is super delicious!!!!!!!! My favourite Vietnamese, I love the vermicelli salad, wonton soup and the pho!
this is my favourite vietnamese haunt in brisbane! the pho is phenomenally cheap (cheapest in brisbane iirc) and delicious. full of flavour and fills me up and keeps me warm. i fell in love with the pho and even brought my friends to the place and we pretty much come here often because not only is the food cheap but it's also tasty. i love to add a little bit of chilli just because i like things a bit spicy.
combination noodle soup has seafood, beef, chicken, and pork -- really worth the money and super filling.
crispy chicken with rice & crispy chicken vermicelli salad -- chicken is really wonderfully cooked, not too oily. could have more vegetables for the rice dish but not complaining since it's what's usual in viet restaurants.
service is fast and friendly. definitely a must go place if you're in the mood for viet food
This basic restaurant is another Fortitude Valley institution. The food is very good and the service was excellent with the food arriving very quickly even though it was busy.
Our waiter went out of his way to make suggestions and brought us fresh chopped chilli without being asked. Unfortunately we had dinner there on a Friday night and the noise levels were incredible. We arrived without a booking and were seated upstairs next to a a table of people who were having a work function. This is probably a place to avoid on Friday and Saturday nights because it is so busy.
The dishes taste slightly different from Chinese cuisine, with few innovation on tastes. recommend their spring rolls and meat balls, also the mushrooms with beef.
I have been here way too often but I seriously can't get enough. There are so many options here and everything tastes consistently good. I'm usually here once I get off work, and for a big bowl of pho for $10 only.. how can you resist? Prices are decent and portions are generous. They also have this option where you can roll your own salad rolls which is an awesome idea.
I dragged my Flatty, David to The Vietnamese in Fortitude Valley to fulfill my pho craving for lunch today. Pho is like the ultimate comfort food. It warms you up, makes you feel happy and content. We sat down and I ordered without even opening the menu – the food came out pretty quickly, hot and delicious.
The food was delicious.
Chicken lemon grass and chilli sauce
Crispy egg noodles with beef
Just a little note, the restaurant could use a bit more lighting inside, seemed a wee dim
Otherwise 10/10👍🏼
Delicious food always a favourite
Squid in Tamarind is definitely worth ordering
Best Vietnamese noodle soup ever!!!
Our go to Vietnamese. Best beef noodle soup in town, great broken rice combination and crispy chicken and rice. Service has improved. Cheap, cheerful, wholesome food.
Great food and affordable price. Been there many times and mostly I recommending to try the Pho or fish soup that is amazing. The fried noodles I had the other day wasn't that great but still very fresh and OK
