3BD somehow synergises loose + luxe - in atmosphere, food & service - like a boss. For those who might not love its hotel lobby feel (I personally DGAF), then obvs the outdoor tables are for you & frankly the place to be anyway. Enjoy that view!
Love the sustainability & locally sourced ethos. It’s transparent, honest & makes for a surprisingly versatile menu. All the food at our table was stunning with a rustic, earthy feel. Had the swordfish been served medium rare as advised, it’d be full marks. Not gonna lie though: still the most succulent I’ve ever had so merely a technical blip in an otherwise flawless day.
Service truly enhanced our special occasion lunch. Staff are energised & efficient, even recognising a now treasured photo opportunity. Thank you.
Highly recommend.
Literally one of my favourite meals! This amazing spread was delightful from start to finish, from the views we were greeted to when we walked in, to the amazing staff, and then of course some of the tastiest food! The mussels were an absolute standout, my favourite from @threeblueducks
Pictured is:
1. Steamed Mussels (chilli jam, coconut sambal, oven roasted flat bread)
2. Grilled Swordfish (preserved lemon, charred cos lettuce, fennel salad, pangrattata, basil oil)
3. Charred Broccolini (whipped smoked ricotta & green olive tapenade)
4. Roasted Pumpkin (goats cheese cream, burnt honey, puffed wild rice, chilli oil)
Dined for breakfast whilst visiting friends. This restaurant is part of W hotel brisbane. We had a table next to the window so enjoyed nice views however seated right next to the door & it was freezing cold each time it opened. I ordered the spanner crab scramble & it was delicious. Special mention to our waitress Alina for her friendly service, being very accommodating to the variety of dietary requirements for our group of 3 diners & making our breakfast catch up date enjoyable. Recommend & hope to return again next time I visit Brisbane.
Good fresh food, lots of great options, lovely service, I would go back. I like the sustainability and local sourcing aspect if the restaurant. Lovely view, nice hotel.
As soon as we arrived we knew the service was going to be spot on - we were welcomed at the entrance by friendly staff. Bar staff obviously love their jobs & we realised everyone’s focus was on making the dining experience the best it could be. Great ambiance & venue. We were only disappointed that they’d run out of the lamb (for sharing) and fish of the day - it would have been better to have been advised when we were seated rather than later when taking our order because our first choice was lamb, my second was the fish. However, all dishes were fabulous - the sides were great (potatoes, pumpkin & carrots). We had the steaks - bit pricy & larger than we’d have chosen, in hindsight we could have shared & had a smaller dish also. We’ll definitely return & recommend if you’ve not dined there.
Came here for lunch on Saturday (early Mother’s Day). The setting was amazing, very modern and the brow of south bank was perfect.
We ordered the betel leaves with crab and the oysters to start. Both were stunning and the oysters were so fresh and tasty.
Next we started some sides and the steak plus the chilli glazed chicken.
Both were generous portions and the chicken was moist.
All dishes seasoned well.
Can’t wait to return and try more dishes on the menu!
Good and honest food is their motto and it truly was. More restaurants need to commit to sourcing local, seasonal and ethically produced products like Three Blue Ducks. I am going back just for the sweet potato hummus. #threeblueducks #hummus #barramundi
Delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly waiters. Exceeded all expectations. Would recommend the swooping magpie cocktail and consid splitting the desserts between 2!
Couldn't fault a dish. Great sharing menu, loved the raw fish with pawpaw, burrata salad. I was sceptical when it opened given I've had mixed experiences at their restaurants in Sydney but on this particular occasion it was impossible to find fault in anything. The sea salt meringue is an interesting dessert which I loved and was confused about at the same time, in a good way. Worth a try for an adventurous eater.
This was my fourth time dining at the restaurant since it opened in June. I really like the ambiance there!
I always have the raw fish and the bread to start with. The haloumi was satisfying.
For the mains, as usual, we order to share (the food potion was pretty big).
The steak was tender and juicy. The bugs was flavoursome, and has always been our favourite. However, this time I found that Chargrilled King Prawns was the biggest suprise! The smokey chargrilled flavour smelled and tasted fantastic with a splash of chilli.
For the dessert, I strongly recommend the creme brûlée (we ordered 2 serves). The custard beneath the crisp top was exquisitely rich and creamy while firm.
For the cocktails, I had the Ducks Rosé Spritz, too fruity for me.
We had the brunch here with unlimited drink menu. Dishes were well presented with great view over the Brisbane river. Service is quick and professional.
But most food just tastes mediocre and nothing special. The highlight is the vegetable gnocchi which is very delicious with the toasty flavour.
have already been a couple of times and loved the service and atmosphere. My most recent visit was nothing short of wonderful. The meals were so delicious! They also had a menu just for the kids called ducklings ( I see what they did there). The kids LOVED the broccoli. I’m serious, they actually want me to make broccoli like that at home now ( I guess I will need to get myself a hibachi grill). The steak was done medium-rare and it was really perfect and my bugs were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Don’t even get me started on dessert. YUM!
We were treated so well by the staff there and they made sure our dietary requirements were easily met. The very talented Chef Pawel also came by to check on us. It was so great chatting with him about his food experiences and it was also great to be able to let him know how much we enjoyed our meals and the wonderful service of the staff there. We will definitely be back there again especially because the kids really enjoyed it too. Thank you all for your wonderful hospitality and looking after us so well, see you soon!
Absolutely amazing and consistent Three Blue Ducks experience at the W Brisbane. Fresh ingredients, delicious meals and great space with views. Very friendly service with a smile. Proud Mary single origin coffee that you cannot possibly go wrong with. Whether staying at the W or just looking for a great place for a Brekkie, this is my go-to for a great meal, coffee and service.
Went to Three Blue Ducks a few months ago to celebrate our anniversary. Lovely ambience and food was divine! Our waitress was brilliant - made excellent suggestions and ensured all dietary requirements were catered for.
Absolutely great experience! From the welcome, the considerate service to the delicious meals. The restaurant has a great view of the river and a very relaxing ambience. The food is worth the visit. Definitely recommended as a place to come and celebrate a special occasion. Enjoy the photos-we can still taste the flavours when looking at the pictures!
