Came here on Sunday afternoon, the place was empty. I was bringing a crowd, but the staff were very friendly and the service was quick. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, thus I was really happy when Gelateria Cremona came to the University of Queensland as a food truck.
Ordered the Pistachio flavour; tasty and not overwhelmingly sweet, which is perfect for those not having the sweet tooth. Also tried the Tiramisu, Creme Brulee, and Salted Caramel; all were perfectly made, got the rich and creamy texture along with perfectly balanced flavour. My personal favourite is the Durian flavour, which is I think, a seasonal menu.
A perfect place to enjoy a delicious gelato. Would definitely be coming back here in the future!
Cannot go wrong here! Although I haven’t tried every flavour, I’m sure they all taste great. So smooth and refreshing.
We visit for some gelato after dinner. We join the queue and are offered samples but there is no need. We have decided on a scoop each of Pistachio and Crème Brûlée. While both gelato are good, the Pistachio is exceptional.
Loved the vibrant colour of the raspberry-mandarin sorbet. The mandarin actually came out pretty strongly and it was overall an interesting and refreshing flavour. I also liked the Belgian chocolate which wasn’t overpoweringly sweet. I don’t know if it was because I got it at a food truck, but their two scoop cone isn’t massive. I actually preferred this because I could try two flavours without it being too much.
Our local Gelateria close to home. We visit on a Sunday afternoon for a Gelato fix. Phuong Tran is happy to see Durian Gelato on the Menu Board and asks for a scoop on a waffle cone. It is Pistachio for me.
The Gelato is quite soft and while Phuong enjoys her Durian cone, my Pistachio Gelato lacks flavour. More crushed Pistachios please!
Tiny ice cream shop with few selection of flavours- but they serve good quality gelato and sorbet. The flavours of their gelato is not too strong/rich- just light and tasty
So lucky to be so close to amazing gelateria with so many unique and interesting flavors to choose from. It was a perfect treat after watching a movie at thr Blue Room Cinebar.
Best gelato in Brisbane, hands down. We always get the take home pack because it’s just so damn good. So fresh with such a great variety of ever-changing flavours, plus the staple favourites. Lucky we don’t live too close or we would be eating here way too often.
Their Italian hot chocolate is delicious too.
A family run artisan gelateria with stunning product . Fresh and authentic. No boosters or artificial rubbish. Quite innovative and novel flavours with standards lemon Dutch choc etc and seasonal specials ... stunning granita sin the summer months. Sorbet and gelato....take your own exotic fruit and they will gelato use it for you.
After the lunch at Burger Institute@Milton, I felt like to have some dessert. Remembered that I had missed this dessert place twice during Christmas and New Year period so gave it a go. It was ten to 1:00pm and the shop was not ready to open yet. However, the friendly staff welcomed me to go in while she was doing her preparation. Had a quick decision to go for a little cup of Mango & Salted Coconut. Took a seat outside the shop and started my food journey. Wow! First lick of the gelato, l felt that it was very soft and creamy. Then the salty taste mixed with traces of coconut and mango flavor, it was superb. No wonder this place is so famous.
Omg best Gelato I've ever had in my life!!! Everything is made fresh in store, which gives a very tasty and subtle flavor. Not too sweet at all. And the server was very friendly. 1000/10🔥
Nice freshly made gelato in kinda our local. Very popular joint and appears to be traditionally made. Great on the palate, light and soft. Would have liked it to be abit more creamy and dense. Still enjoyable though!
Four of us all ordered different flavours - every one of them was wonderful. The kids liked the cookies and cream. The macadamia was tasty. Even a special ‘hot cross bun’ flavour for Easter was surprisingly good. But the coffee gelato was the best. ☕️
The sorbets there can't be compared to any other else. We can feel the freshness of all ingredients and how careful the chef is by preparing them in front of us. The far best Brisbane ice cream.
Gelato and sorbet made with 100% all natural ingredients - that's what you get at Gelateria Cremona 👌
Tried a honey & walnut on this visit, single scoop ($5.30) in a waffle cone (50c). Always go for the waffle cone if it's available. Can't say I loved the flavour - it was fine, just not nearly as memorable as the durian flavour I had a few weeks prior when brought over a take home pack from here 😄
Will be back to explore more flavours another time.
4 stars because they had nice flavours, it's near where we live, and parking was easy. But the texture wasn't quite smooth enough to be gelato, and waffle cones aren't standard (not sure I can fully enjoy any place where the default is those foamy type of cones). It's certainly nice ice cream, but if you're going for proper italian style gelato go to La Macelleria. I will continue to preferentially travel twice as long to get La Macelleria, particularly at a similar price point but they pack it in more at L.M.
What a charming gelato store with so many amazing flavours on offer. Absolutely loved the honey fig and ricotta flavour. The strawberry cheesecake was also delicious.
The best Gelato shop I have ever been to worldwide. Over the past few years I’ve tried every flavour. Honeycomb is the best gelato flavour and all the sorbet flavours are incredible. The watermelon granita over summer is unbelievable as well. Every other ice cream shop in Brisbane is no where near as good. Highly recommend!
