In a little back street called Fish Lane, hides a gem of a cafe called Hello Please. Specialising in Vietnamese street food, dishes like spring rolls, dumplings, chicken ribs, banh mi, salads, curry, rice paper rolls, pho and bun grace the menu, all ingredients fresh and nourishing, and making for a difficult choice because every dish sounded tempting.
Greetings Joe's, this may come as a surprise as to why I have gathered you all here today. You see, I have been feeling under the weather lately due to the lack of Joe's in my life. To remediate this problem, I would like to suggest that we form a "Gathering of the Joe's" as a bi-weekly club where all Joe's, and I of course, shall meet and partake in various foodie activities.
The first meeting shall be on 29th October from 8PM-10PM at "Hello Please". I expect to see you all there. Ta ta for now.
Went here with the partner and a friend for a weekend lunch.
We ordered the tuna tartare, shiitake mushrooms and the Dan Dan rice cakes, with a side of steamed rice. The tuna was fresh. Mushrooms were moreish. The rice cakes were the highlight with a good amount of heat and interesting texture of the rice cakes.
Dishes are designed to be shared. I would describe the flavours are more "Asian-fusion" rather than "Vietnamese". Casual ambience with limited outdoor seating. Friendly and efficient service. Prices little on the higher end for portions served.
Overall, a casual spot to share a light Asian fusion meal with friends.
