Same as the Cafe Boulevard, we took the 50% off food bill promo from the Fork (it is the only one be so generous) to have a dinner here on Monday night.
Well, it was a ghost town in the area of Eat South Bank. We occupied the first table of the night. Service is very hospitable and friendly.
We ordered the kangaroo skewers and the garlic prawns for entrees and chicken risotto and pasta with seafood marinara for mains.
Honestly, we did not expect too much on this local eatery but it gave us an extraordinary surprise on the food it provided.
Kangaroo skewers was done perfectly with tenderized meat and accompanied with salad and vinegar. Garlic prawns were done with tomato paste. Sauce was delicious as the dips for the bread.
Pasta was al dente with reasonable amount of seafood. Risotto was the best that we had for this year. Importantly, chicken breast pieces were tenderized.
Thanks for the whole team to prepare such an impressive dinnerđź‘Ť

their kitchen was open late so decided to give this restaurant a try. their arancini was amazing and the bourguignon was good too. recommend trying
Food:
Calamari, pork belly, slow cooked beef
Environment:
Lovely waitress who helped us choose our food. Super friendly
Taste:
The calamari was perfectly soft to bite into, not tough at all. Pork belly dish was a little on the heavy side. My fault for choosing a carb heavy dish.
Value:
My pork dish had lots of pork on it, couldn’t even finish it. The waitress was kind enough to give us a takeaway container for the beautifully cooked pork belly.
Our for a night at the theatre and walking around Southbank looking for a quick bite. What a pleasant surprise.
It you’re not bothered by the outdoor tables service was great, food excellent and great value for money.
Had seared tuna and seafood marinara.
Will be back.
We have mixed feelings about this place... the food was delicious, the price was very good but it just took them ages to bring out the food. It wasn't even that busy and yet my partner and I, along with 2 other couples around us were kept waiting 45 just for a simple sample plater.
Overall, we'd probably go there again for the food, but not on a day where we're pressed for time, that's for sure.
I love this place.
Fantastic service, great food and beautiful atmosphere at a fair price. Â
One of the best value for money in South Bank.Â
Super super recommend it. Ask for the BEEF RAGU.Â
Fantastic option.
I went there with my husband and a friend of ours, who has some intolerances like me. The menu is quite small, but with a lot of gluten and dairy free options. I had the fish, my husband took the kangaroo and our friend the steak. My fish and the kangaroo were delicious, but I noticed that the steak was not really easy to cut. The staff was really friendly and professional and the service was quick. Portions are not very generous and prices are quite high for the quantities you find in your plate. But really good food.
The portion is a bit smallq but the food taste great and the waitress is really kind and helpful. I love her recommendation of red wine. The chilli cheese burger could be one my best.
After making a Saturday night booking a few hours earlier I was pleased to hear they could accommodate us at the time we requested.
Water was brought with menus as we were seated.
We drank a lovely light Pinot Gris with piquant olives.
Our mains were a tender chicken with potatoes and linguine with spanner crab and salsa.
Both light but satisfying meals.
We drank sparkling brut from SA with these and then decided on desserts.
Our peanut butter parfait with caramel sauce and popcorn was so moreish.
The other dessert we sampled was chocolate macadamia brownie with raspberry sorbet and frozen berry bark.
Service was very attentive and we did not need to ask for refills of water at all.
Overall a very satisfying and enjoyable meal.
Sir A., got this New York style sirloin steak, it came with thick cut smoked bacon, red wine jus, mashed potato and colcannon aka an Irish dish with mashed potato and crispy kale bits. The steak was a perfect medium rare and melted on the tongue like pure butter, oh man that was a good steak! Even as good as that, the thick smoky chunks of bacon were an absolute delight as well, you can't see any in the picture but they're as thick as your finger nail! Sir A was desperately hoping that I wouldn't ask for any.
