Mislocated a listing at Woolloowin so drove to forage my brekkie around. Not until I drove past and noticed the queue of customers outside this bakery, then I realized I was at the Albion area.
Have not been back for nearly three years that tempted me to give it a go. Followed the queue and waited around five minutes to get the chance to order an almond croissant and a flat white.
Well the croissant was not he best that I had but it came with good texture and the filling was not over-sweet. Coffee served as the perfect partner for the croissant. They made me a good Sunday brekkieš

One word: DOUGHNUTS!! Oh my god. I was lucky enough to get a hot jam doughnut. So so delicious. The perfect size to get enough filling without being excessive. If this was closer to my house, Iād be there daily. Probably a good thing itās not closer then... :)
The staff are always so lovely. Try the brownie, it will change your perception on brownies and for good and become the new benchmark by which all others are measured. So decadent
Moved to this area 7 months ago and I always opt to drive all the way to Flour n Chocolate in Morningside or Chouquette in New Farm whenever I crave for good artisan pastry. However yesterday I decided to give this place a try. Itās got a different style however I wasnāt disappointed at all. It still canāt beat FnC/Chouqette but it saves me from the traffic hassle. It is a bit pricey though. Had feta and tomato quiche, raspberry financier, and salmon bagel. I guess Iām lucky because all tasted really delicious. Still curious about their sourdough doughnuts. Will come back very soon. Maybe tomorrow š. Second visit: Parmesan bagel and cheese, onion, and poppy seeds bagel. Winner: still the salmon bagel from 2 days ago. Sourdough mini doughnuts: winner: raspberry jam doughnut! The jam is so fresh and natural. I didnāt really like the chocolate doughnut. Cappuccino: ok not so special but not bad. Service: great and friendly :)
Fabulous little bakery on Sandgate Road offering a great range of sourdough loafs, sausage rolls, bagels, buns, donuts and even dog biscuits.
Food 8/10
Price $$ above average
Service 7/10 friendly service even when they were super busy.
*** I love the sour dough donuts here. I have to wake up early, drive for 1 hour to have my donut and coffee here. They close before 12pm noon.
Recommend to everyone. You must try at least once.
Well, I read that their bagels were really good so I opted for the poppy seed bagel sandwich, together with some random delicacies which include a sourdough doughnut, chocolate chip bagel and a blueberry custard like cake.
Meatballs And Beef Cheeks
+3.5
The Meatballs Family came to Brewbakers with high expectations given their high rating and the many claims that they could be Brisbane's best bakery.
First impression - this is a working bakery. Don't come here expecting a cafe type experience (a la Le Bon Choix).
We ordered a Latte, a Poppyseed Bagel and a Sourdough Blondie.
Everything looked wonderful and their bagels might be Brisbane's best. Unfortunately Mini Meatball tore into the poppyseed bagel before I could get a good photo (she also brushed off a lot of poppyseeds). The bagel rated a 4 - definitely a step above Bagel Boys and NYC Bagels.
The Sourdough Blondie, topped with pecans, was really moist and had a very complex flavour, but unfortunately it was underbaked and the middle was wet/sticky. Perhaps this is what they were going for, but it felt underdone. This rated a 2.5.
The Latte was pretty average - a bit weak, but this rated a 3.
We'll return for bagels and I look forward to trying some of their breads.
This is a small shop but offers all you need if that includes bread, baked goods and coffee. Service is fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable. Parking is available right outside the door.
Went here during the week before work for breakfast.
I had never been here before but instantly felt like I had been a customer for year.
Had great filled toasted bagel with my excellent coffee and shared probably one of the Brisbane's best sourdough dounts! Can't wait to go back!!
Service, smile, human touch, joy coffee and bread and pastries that make you feel in the heart of Europe but right here in Brizzie, just WOW, thanks for existing. Great bakeries are the colour and uplifting energy every cities need, after all bread is Life.
Bagels were world class- just chewy enough and toasted they were sensational!! It would have been great if there were some seats to make customers comfortable.....but they sure do make great breads!!
Awesome service, passionate employees always greated with a warm smile. Amazing coffee and bread, so much to try and very much looking forward to trying one of absolutely everything!
Great little sourdough bakery! Love that it opens super early, bread is always fresh and they have great doughnuts and almond croissants too! We buy the grainy sourdough and itās perfect for the whole family and stays fresh for ages.
Rather delicious! Staff are all kindly, food is great, coffee could be better, naturally. Overall, went in chuffed, left chuffed!
Sourdough bread here is on the rustic side and very cost performant. Though I personally prefer loaves with a stronger ferment and softer crust (a la "Infinity" or "B&B project") the large variety of breads, as well as the friendliness of the staff, make up for the slight shortcomings.
Good stuff! Well worth a small drive.
