Nacho Fries, Burrito Bowl and basically anything they do is delicious. It’s good fast food which looks and tastes good. I have my meals with queso and you should try it too as it’s the best if you love cheese
Guzman! One of the favourite Mexican food makers!
Whatever you take from here, it will vanish your hunger. Best in class burritos and the sauces. Must visit there.
Think this was the first one in Brisbane and I became an instant fan - if i only got to eat one fast food for the rest of my life I guess I know which one to pick. They are the perfect combination of fast spicy fresh and cheap 👌🔥
GYG is our go-to quick lunch spot! We're a big fan of their standard nachos and burritos with slow cooked beef - not to menion their new Nacho Fries are bloody delish. Service is always fast and friendly across all GYG stores - we love it!
Good, decent price and very filling. Would recommend and they have a selection of sauces that you can choose and some jalapeños which is a nice touch
At the office, people strike up meaningless chats at the water-cooler about how amazing burritos are. My response is "Mexican food is overrated. Please don't feel the need to strike up a conversation. I'm just trying to fill my water bottle so I can avoid kidney stones and die in peace". Lately I've been struggling to stick to my supposition that Mexican food is overrated due to my frequency of devouring spicy chicken burrito bowls. This is causing unwanted stress to my invariably melancholic life. Not really gyg's fault though.
Sometimes you think with these franchise places that it will always be the same. Not true. As The Dear Luncher ticks off yet another Guzman, it’s important to note that this has taken the title as the favourite branch. The pulled beef (spicy) salad ordered here was a cut above. Crisp, fresh and generous levels of beef for what was the smaller, entrée size. The vinaigrette they use at Guzman is a real winner for the salads. It’s pleasing to know you can be on the other side of the country and get consistently good Mexican fare at Guzman.
Another great Guzman, but it gets better... (better? surely not!) An even greater thunderstorm that totally rocked the shop! A very spacious store and a very spacious stomach lay in wait, with the big yellow logo providing the sort of much needed light from the black skies and rain that hammered down like a cue for 'the last meal on earth.'
Needing some warming and food loving after not a lot to eat that day, a mini chicken burrito was order of the day, with brown rice and guacamole at extra cost, but its worth it! That little bit of spice goes a long way on nights like this one, also...
Please note, however, if you are not that hungry, whatever you do, order the mini burrito, not the big one, or you will need a very big lie down when you get home. If however, you are in 'horse eating' mood, its gotta be the full size beast.
Another smart move if you are torn between chook and beef is this; if with partner, and you both like a burrito wrap, you come to a 'share arrangement' if one of you has one, and one the other, you can simply 'rip in half'. If its a burrito bowl, just go 'half and half' there also, and all is well in the Guzman Y Gomez eating world. Peace, hombre.
This has got to be my favourite GYG thus far. They are just the nicest laid back staff and happy all the time. I have never had an issue here. The food is the best! Before a store opened near me I would drive 35 mins just to have lunch/dinner here.
Excellent value at a reasonable price! Still as good after all these years and they do Jose' Cuervo tequila shots! Spicy chicken nachos or spicy steak chipotle burritos are awesome.
Very pleasantly surprised. Been putting off trying their food as I am not mad on traditional Mexican flavours.
At a loose end today and found ourselves in the shopping precinct with heaps of choices.
Decided to take the risk and went to Guzmans and ordered nachos.
For $13 it was actually excellent! Very tasty and corn chips crisp and yummy.
Recommend that you give it a try. Will definitely be back. Nice outdoor setting and not cramped. Only serve Corona sadly but at only $5, worth it.
Nice but my little corn chips were stale. But apart from that just your average Guzman franchise.
It's usually pretty quick, cheap, good lunch spot
