This was a surprise outing and it did not disappoint. The oysters were lovely and fresh, not overly cold and icy. The
mignonettes were beautiful. The staff were lovely and friendly and made us feel welcome. The open atmosphere was pleasant. There is a possibility of it being overcrowded but we didn't experience that. Brilliant. We will be back for sure.
We loved this place. The waitress knew all about the menu and was very friendly. When I returned the next day with my daughter, she remembered my name. The service was just right - not too attentive but always available and fast. I also loved the casual feel of the decor. Prices were very reasonable.
The food was divine - lovely and fresh. Faultless in flavour and presentation.
Points are lost for the limitations of the menu (although we were a late booking admittedly).
Brilliant, fresh and diverse dishes, very friendly and helpful staff and an enviable drinks list with some great craft beers. It’s great to have a place of this standard on the bayside.
This is without a doubt the most amazing fresh seafood we've ever had on the east coast, let alone Brisbane. We'd been told to make sure we try it while near Manly, so so SO glad we did. We'll be back, never had oysters this amazing before and the warm fresh dishes from the kitchen were to die for. They only stock craft beers which forced us to try some we'd never had, and OMG they were GOOD!! Friendly attentive service was much appreciated.
Finally found time to visit this bar and it did not disappoint! The food was fresh and delicious. The soba noodles were refreshingly tasty, charred beans were flavoursome and the grilled octopus was amazing! The staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely would visit again for a chilled casual drink (or three!) together with the fresh shucked oysters and other deliciousness!!

Beautiful share dishes and fresh seafood, with oysters opened to order - some of the best we've had anywhere in the World. Really unique wine list and we tried some we had never heard of, which were truly outstanding. We'll be back soon!

this place is currently doing a weekly changing menu - inventive, tasty and impressive, its heavy on fish and does its best to avoid hooved animals, so go next door if you are looking for a steak.
Belinda is a treasure - matching wines to our courses with a passion and grace. Worth the trip in the rains from our inner city home - Shucks is showing not only Manly but all of Brisbane how it's done - easily the equal of anything on James St.

As someone with a severe peanut allergy, dining out can often be a stressful and uncomfortable experience. Not so at Shucks. When my husband and I first visited this lovely little bar in Manly, the usual anxiety I feel when trying somewhere new immediately dissipated when met with the confidence of the staff to happily assure me that not only do they not use peanuts (a rarity these days), but they would do their utmost to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Fast forward four years, and we’ve become regulars. Being greeted by Belinda or Brian at the entrance is like visiting old friends as they excitedly share with us a new wine they’re trying or enquire about what we’ve been up to lately. They know our tastes often better than we do ourselves when they recommend a new cocktail, snack or dessert. Always something we love and exquisitely presented. The food is second to none. Delicious and fresh, each seasonal menu is to die for. In winter time, the Malaysian fish curry is a culinary experience everyone must try. Come summer time, oysters and a cold seafood platter truly hit the spot. Thank you Shucks team for an amazing experience every single time.
Booked in for a Birthday lunch and as soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and provided with a overview of the food, drinks and specials.
We wanted to try various items on the menu and decided on the ‘Feed Me’ menu along with the Tuna Carpaccio - was brilliant and cannot fault the taste (also the only photo me managed to take).
Also, had the Early Spring cocktail and passion fruit house soda - both very refreshing.
Overall, the service was exceptional and the food was faultless!
Great little shop for some of the freshest oysters i have ever had! took be back to sitting on the beach and having the taste of the salt in the wind. The location is fantastic, right near the marina. Would return for the happy hour specials for sure! best value!
My oldest daughter, husband & I went to Shucks last night for the 1st time. Absolutely 5 star service & food. Such lovely staff who really have great memories for orders & your pets names 🐶 I can't believe as locals we haven't gotten here sooner. Will definitely be going back again soon. I really loved my Lemon Lockdown cocktail too🍸
