Love The Boatshed everytime I go! The service is always impeccable, the food amazing and the atmosphere perfect
I usually stick to my usual the eye fillet with chips, salt n pepper squid and a mushroom sauce and can never fault it! The steak just melts in your mouth every time
This time the two of us got the same dish but different drinks the wine list is amazing I definitely recommend the broken shack Pinot Grigio 👌🏻
Not quite a four but more than a three. It's a steak house and ten points for the visual and olafactory assault. Ironbark fires cooking great pieces of beef. Not a cheap night but worth the outlay. Mine host is the delightful and famous Michael Platsis who has served more meals in Brisbane than anyone I know. Have a few cleansers next door and a post at the Walrus.
Had the RNA eye fillet. It cooks perfectly and meat is very tender. The price is reasonable for a 200g, $35, given it wons an award. The regular 180g eye fillet would be $30. Atomesphere is good, could be a little noisy depends on who sit next to your table. So if you want to have a good consersation you need to raise your voice a bit. Service is also good, staffs are friendly and helpful.
Only thing that I struggle with is the size of the table we have been offered. Four people and been given a small square table. Not enough place for wine glasses plus food. We ordered some sides along with the steak that has been squeezed to put in the middle of the table. And it is hard to get to those food because the wine glasses are always blocks your way.
Ate here recently and really enjoyed the NAPCO steak. The boatshed has a good vibe to it at night for dinner and the service was pretty friendly and attentive.

Lovely atmosphere and beautiful food, sadly though the service here lets me down. Unapologetically disorganised and unpleasant staff dampen the overall experience. Our table was booked well in advance but somehow our party was expected to wait at the bar for almost two hours. The food and atmosphere almost made the wait worthwhile, but not quite.
Unbeatable amalgamation - Location, staff and food!
Nice place to have your breakfast or drinks in the evening with the back drop of the Brisbane river. This is an heritage building. Looks nice.
Serene (though it's bustling with people) and soothing atmosphere. Had eggs and bacon with bread. Everything was good. The coffee was great. The staff was courteous and very happy to help types.
Would definitely visit the place again.
I came here with a friend for some dry-aged beef steaks. The atmosphere was lively and it sounded like sparrows having big fights. We were glad that our table was tucked away from the chirps which allowed us to converse. We both had a glass of Barossa shiraz while observing how the chef was cooking the meat on the fiery front. I ordered a medium rare dry-aged porterhouse steak. The meat was erring too far towards medium done though still amazing and juicy

Only 80's kids will understand. The regatta is dead to me. Remember when you could get a bucket of coronas for $10? That beer garden that everyone spewed in? The urinal where you could pretend to piss on people? It's all dead to me now.
Take your in-laws here, they will think they are hip and cool, when in actuality you know the soul of the place is dead... Much like your career aspirations.
Everyone loves a steak and it's quick service, so you won't have to put up with the old farts for long.
I thought the atmosphere was very good. As a solo diner there was plenty of places to sit without feeling like a fish out of water. Staff were very attentive and the food came out fast. The food it's self were good value to the portion size and value for money.
A quick tapas on a Sunday afternoon. It was ok, pizzas looked amazing so I think we may have just ordered wrong. The Pimms jug was amazing though.
The Boat Shed has easy online booking for
lunch or dinner 7 days a week. The staff are
professional and efficient. Mainly a steak
house, there are non-steak options on the
menu, as well as GF and DF options. The
food is delicious with good portions. An
expansive drinks menu to accompany your
meals. Facilities on the premises and parking
available. A popular venue, with good reason.
The lounging bar is amazing, such a chilled out way to CHILL OUT. Burgers top notch. Sundays live band does requests and a lot of fun is had! Try it out. Actually don't. Wanna keep this as my own clubhouse ;)
i was very surprised by this dinner experience!! i did not expect such high quality and delicious food from @regattahotel 🤭🤍 love the atmosphere and vibe of the entire place too~ like a casual pub/club🧐🤣 super super busy at night!! such a lively place~ i never expected it to be so big inside🤭
we ordered ✨🍽:
🍔southern fried chicken burger $18: this was SO big oh my, surprisingly quite good!! chicken wasn’t juicy but it wasn’t dry which is good~ flavour was quite nice and it was super crunchy~ the fries🤤hot and crisppp~
🍕prosciutto rosso $21: this. was. incredible. it doesn’t state that it’s wood fired, but it really tastes like it!! dough was fluffy and cooked to perfection oh my, it was my first time having caramelized onions on a pizza and oh my- what a beautiful addition! balances out the prosciutto perfectly🤤i would come back just for this pizza!
🍛 coconut chicken curry $21: this was a chef special~ it was pretty nice~ the chicken was a little dry and i don’t really like coconut curries so it wasn’t really my taste but really good quality!🥰
🥗caesar salad $17: ordered a salad to repair balance out the heaviness of everything else~ refreshing and nice! bacon was quite hard as well as the huge cuts of bread but overall an okay salad~
💜lilac sky $12: this mocktail was delishhh!! with butterfly pea inside, it was a beautiful colour! with hints of citrus and floral flavours, it was refreshing and yum!🥰 ugh if only i had the right coloured nails🥲🤣
overall, a lovely lovelyyyy dinner at @regattahotel a staple and icon in Brisbane, if you haven’t checked it out, it’s definitely worth it!🤩🥰
With a U K friend in tow, we went for a drink in the late arvo at the Main Bar, and stayed for a meal. I had beer-battered barramundi and chips with salad, the friend had a steak sandwich, and hubby had a beef burger. He said the meat patty was cooked well, and the additions were really enjoyable - the right amount of gherkins, etc. The chips were chips – fine, tasty, the usual. My fish was wonderful – juicy and tender, with crispy not-too-thick batter. The salad was fresh, with a tangy dressing. The burger and sandwich (with chips) went down well. Servings are very generous, and we managed to scoff them down ‘cos we were hungry little diners. We drank Prosecco, and a G&T, and a soft drink. Staff were pleasant (our UK friend said she missed the friendly Aussie waitering-style now she lives overseas.), and food came out promptly. Even for a Monday night, this place was fairly busy. We all enjoyed the meals and drinks, and the respite from the day’s endeavours. There are several bars, and a café and a restaurant here. Much more for us to explore on another night.
Boatshed in Regatta Hotel is one of my favourite places for steaks. Open kitchen gives customers a bit more impression on their food quality. Staff serves customers in a professional manner and food is presented on a well organised plating. Steaks I and my wife ordered were absolutely amazing. The side dish 'Roasted cauliflower' was fantastic. Nothing to comment negatively...
Only it's a bit of $$$.
I wish there is a list of lunch menu in Boatshed then I can visit more often
Beautiful food prepared with love and attention to detail. Outstanding draft beers, delicious cocktails and an excellent wine selection. The market fish is exquisite with beautiful little potatoes and a delicious green salsa. If you want a fantastic steak accompanied with a cold draft beer or favourite red this is the place. The steaks are extraordinary and glide like butter! The chef fiercely guards your steak and is protective to grill it perfectly. I got him to smile though 😉
The sides including the veg are fresh and tasty and the salads are consistently crisp and fabulous to have as a starter. The oysters are beautiful. The waiters and staff are brilliant with fantastic service and will check on you to make sure you are not waiting on a drink. The Boatshed is perfect for a lazy long lunch, special occasions and date nights. Book early as it gets very busy. My only sadness here is that we really miss the sublime lime cheesecake as it’s no longer on the menu. They could do with a rhubarb crumble and offer a couple options to include less sweet desserts:)
Arrive by ferry & this was my first visit to Regatta Hotel on Saturday 04/09/21 visiting from Cairns. The Hotel looks beautiful with it's charm character & heritage, even though I only had time for one cup of Cappuccino I could have easily sat outside all day, with its relaxed friendly atmosphere & only a 10 min walk to Toowong Village.
The food was absolutely delicious and divine.
A little bit pricey but it's a nice place for a date and special occasions.
