Kimono Sushi is truly one of the best sushi restaurants in Brisbane. They have a wide range of sushi selection on their sushi train. The sushi is tasty, fresh and worth the price. The service is quick, friendly and professional.
Ordering is through a tablet, which makes it easy to continuously order throughout, without having to call over a waiter/waitress.
Overall a great experience - would definitely visit again!
My mate and I went in for lunch during the week and were thoroughly impressed.
They have the conveyor belt of delight, which I promptly utilised to chow down on some edamame! The train was reasonably empty because I think fresh is pretty popular there - the chefs were like ninjas*
I had a prawn katsu mini rolls as well as some tuna mini rolls and a lychee aloe vera drink to complete the experience.
OOOOOISHIIII!!!!!
*Disclaimer: chefs had knives and made sushi quickly, may or may not have been ninjas.
Good sushi and $3.50 a plate! Generous fish servings, the rice was not well packed and could come apart but hey, and that price, I'll let it slide.
Once you sit down they give you a small tablet to make your order or you can just grab the plates off the train. The tablet is good because I can see how much I'm spending because I tend to go overboard with my sushi and a $60 lunch bill is not uncommon for me.
Very good lunch spot if you like sushi.
Had takeaway lunch here. Everything is $3.50!
I ordered spicy chicken- it was so good! Little bit sweet but quite spicy- it would go really well with a salad, some rice or both. Definite bang for buck.
The seared salmon was also so delicious. New work snack for sure- it was my favourite for sure.
I was expecting the rice paper roll to have vermicelli so was a little surprised it contained warm rice- it wasn't bad though- just unexpected and probably a really normal thing.
It was an average sushi train fit out with really nice, welcoming service.
Would I go back? Uh yeah
Fresh sushi and amazing side dishes, the spiced glazed chicken thing was top notch!! Any prawn lovers will be happy here with the abundance of prawn dishes. Prawn gyoza were pretty great too. With everything at $3.50 it's so cheap!
I've been here several times now. The staff is always welcoming and the service is fast. The prices are good and the food sightly better than average. Order off the menu to ensure you get the freshest possible sushi and sashimi.
Our reliable go to option for office Friday lunch treats, awesome menu, favourites include the delectably sweet crab claw, scrumptious bbq prawn, salmon or scallop nigiri; and lunch special curries are packed with value, $2 less for chicken Katsu than it costs for a far inferior product in the west end shops.
Great sushi place that myself and a lot of the guys from work go to daily for lunch as its across from our construction site. Lunch here is half price sushi rolls so make the most of the expensive ones lol I went with a teriyaki meal for something different then just getting your standard sushi rolls, which was very tasty and as you can see looked amazing. Each table has an iPad where you order directly to your table without consulting any staff and then just press request for the bill. For all sushi lovers definitely try this place
All plates $3.50 - WHOOT!!
Hot tip: although there's plenty of plates already on the train, order fresh ones from the mini iPad gizmos. Those seared scallop nigiri suckers were charry, melt-in-the-mouth perfection. Die-heaven. The Chef was loving life and super friendly. So glad to have stumbled on to this place.
Popped into Kimono for a quick Monday lunch, looking for something easy and light on the tummy (and wallet). Whilst the portions were small and tasty as you'd expect at a sushi train like this one, the variety was lacking and there seemed to be long, empty spaces between dishes. This was disappointing as the restaurant did not appear to be overly busy. That said, I enjoyed my lunch and would visit again. Three sushi train dishes cost $13.

I had the chicken curry Bento. The inclusions that you get with this Bento are a little bit different then some of the other chain sushi places. The pork gyozas were a welcome change. I found that the curry sauce was a bit sweet to my taste.
Overall it was an enjoyable meal.
Great little hidden gem, not usually that busy and prices are very reasonable.. try the seared salmon nigiri 🤤
Delightful food.
Reasonable price.
Good customer service.
If you're craving japanese food or sushi, this is the restaurant you need to go to. 👍🏻
