Delicious! Buns are made onsite daily, with all the mouthwatering flavours you’d expect only to find in a boutique sit down Asian restaurant or in a place like Eat Street Northshore.
Mr. Bunz has perfected the flavour combinations, offers single buns and meal deals (3 buns + drink) and dessert buns too ! Prices are very reasonable and drinks are cheap.
It’s a great CBD cheat meal and very filling, with fast and reliable customer service.

Only complaint is....we didnt get enough. This place is amazing. So unassuming. Yet sooo satisfying. Cracking roast Pork belly and crispy spiced fried chicken were amazing.

I’m biased, of course!
What’s not to like about reasonably priced buns with crispy big bits inside?
The buns were fresh, soft, light and just the right amount of spring
I ordered the crispy chicken one, again just the right amount of crispy chicken and it was really crispy, with slaw and not too much mayo. Omg so good

Prices were reasonable as well

The steam rice rolls were acceptable. I was expecting yum cha standard but who am I kidding? For something form a quick takeaway place at such a reasonable price, it’s very acceptable.

I would however, stick with the buns in future.
The only improvement I can think of is spice, the option for chilli, just because I love everything with chillies

I tried this place out for lunch during the work week and loved it! I had the crispy pork and crispy chicken bao which were freshly prepared, had plenty of filling (but not so much that it spilled everywhere) and was cheap as ($5 each). I found that two was enough for me for lunch but could have easily taken up the 3 bao and drink deal ($16). I couldn't fault it. Will be back very soon.

Very tasty food. We had a groupon deal and chose one of each bun. Was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste. Will defiantly be back!

I ordered from UberEATS today and I just needed to say that the popcorn chicken is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten!! Hot, juicy, crunchy and delicious and with the garlic aioli it was amazing!! Can’t wait to try some other stuff from here. Best fried chicken ever. I didn’t stop eating long enough to think to take a photo sorry lol

Absolutely love the food these guys put out.
This was their “dessert variant” to a Bao.

The Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jam parfait with fresh strawberries and a strawberry coulis.

Amazing. The Bao added such a nice texture and taste to the parfait.

Bao buns never get old to me. The more the merrier. So today BFF & I shared the gamut of the standard menu: •crackling pork ($5) •crispy chicken ($5) •peking duck ($6.50) •king brown mushroom ($5). Don't make me choose just one - they were ALL my favourite.

Buns themselves are soft & light with wicked fluff-factor. For their compact size (& price), fillings were stacked. We loved the textural balance of crunchy elements vs soft flesh in every single combo. BFF tried to shade me for ordering the vego option but then literally ate her words...along with the last of the shroom bun while I wasn't looking!!

Cross my heart; these bao are delicious with a big fat capital D. Coming back for the matcha dessert version ASAP!

The eatery is a tiny hole in the wall that you can easily walk past without noticing. The place is not fancy but the food is spot on. I had to wait a little bit for my food but it was worth the wait. The roast pork bun was hot, crispy and tasty- top choice. Same as the fish bun. For $5 or $6 per bun, that’s really decent for a cheap eat. I liked the combination of the ingredients. Everything was fresh and tasty. Although I think the sauce was too generous, cut back on the sauce and it’s perfect!

Absolutely my favourite Bao in Brisbane! The noodles definitely pack some heat but can't fault this place! Also love the general vibe and can mix and match with food and drinks from next door places with the relaxed environment.

Delcious bao & main dishes. Pork bao was so flavourful. But rather addicted into chicken bao.(I hate cucumber so I ordered not to put in my 2nd visit lmao) It's crispness and juiciness is incredible!! Cooked and served by 2 beautiful staffs with great services. Open-air but cozy space it is.

Casual & hippy, serving small selection of Asian street food. Bao is fresh, fluffy & flavorful! Great for catch up with drinks.

Delicious as always but definitely a lot more expensive than I'm really happy with. They used to have a bundle special which doesn't seem to be available anymore, which meant this was about 20% more than it used to be. At least the quality is still high, and admittedly it's cheaper than other gourmet bao available like at the Night Noodle Markets.

Delicious buns. Had the crispy chicken, which was crispy on the outside and succulent within. Spicy mayo and jalapeños topped it off nicely! Also had hoisin duck, crispy bits in there gave it a great crunch. (No photos as I inhaled. It's before buying a third ;))

While at the National Achievers Congress, its was lunch time and I asked Google where's the best Bao buns in town. Well due to the ratings I was Lead to Mr. Buns west end Brisbane . Honestly these electric scooters r a hit to get us all places real fast as well and that's what I needed express transport to lunch and back to the convention center.. I ordered a trio of the famous Bao which consisted of: crispy Pork, Crispy Chicken and my favourite the mushroom Bao, this 1 is so extremely delicious I wanted more but had not enough time. But I'll be back Mr. Buns. Yes guys, I would totally recommend dropping in and given Mr. Buns menu a go and share it with the rest of us...... Enjoy
