Went there for our anniversary with my 2 little kids for the all you can eat yum cha. Usually when they say all you can eat, there is usually a catch so l was a bit reluctant to go there for our anniversary but decided to risk it anyway and thank god we did. Turned out great. Service was lovely and polite. They kept bringing food out to us. Gave us nice table away from the crowd maybe because we had 2 little kids and the food was very nice. Didn't have any issues and walked out very very full so make sure you go there very hungry.
Walking into Sichuan Bang Bang we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The menu for both food and drinks are fairly extensive, so the four of us choosing dishes took some time. We decided on a mix of appetisers and then two mains to share. Crispy eggplant chips and salt and pepper squid both well presented and great tastes. We also tried the pancakes, the Peking duck and the lamb "chop chop" dishes, both with hoisin, with the duck being more favoured. The only dish I did not rate to highly, was the Sichuan wok fried eggplant with mince pork in chilli sauce. But overall some really nice dishes, with good service and ok value for money.
Walked by this place the other day and thought it looked cozy. Ate there tonight with my wife. Food was excellent, if a little salty, however, the condiments (good quality rice wine vinegar in particular) balanced it out. Booked online 3 hours before arrival, Aware, cheery staff and excellent table service. Very happy with our evening. Will be back often.
I have only been once but loved the food and I intend to return. Shame it's a tad cramped with the tables barely fitting the food - especially if you like to share.

The food is just amazing! One of my fav places to visit! The fried rice is a must try!! Godly. Service is pretty good, very friendly staff. The whole concept of two cuisines under one roof is quite good as well. Well done bang bang.
Very interested in the number of 1-2 star reviews made by people who have done only one review ever (cynical?)
Okay, I really like the food at this place. It is quite cramped, but a nice level of vibe. The choice is far from usual sweet & sour fare, my go-too is Kung Pow Chicken, but have also sampled across the menu.
I would recommend booking as we have been unable to get a seat in the past. Some of the staff are a bit on the slack side (on Sunday night the waitress asked if we were ready to order before giving us our menus) but the Manager is one of the hardest working guys I've seen.
One of the view places I'm happy to take visitors to, as there's nothing I know of that's comparable.
OK, this place is the business!!! Not only do they have amazing Chinese food, the Italian menu is also to die for. We've been a few times now & we're in love. The reason this place makes us so damn happy? There is normally a fairly healthy debate between my husband & I about where to eat. I love all Asian cuisines but he's more your pizza kinda guy. Now, we're both happy (you can order off either menu). Of course, having knocked off some of his pizza, I can also say they have the best pizza in Brisbane. This is our new favourite restaurant.
Tonight I met a friend for dinner which I booked online. Our table was set and we were given water straight away with the wine and food menus. Green tea for my friend and house sparkling for me. Entrees were crispy eggplant with fried shallots and the hot and spicy soup with Veges for me. I then had the prawns with chilli and spices and the squid - amazing! My companion ordered the fish hotpot... Which she adored.., you can choose the level of heat in meals which is helpful.
Another glass of bubbles went well to ease the heat of Chilli. Fried ice cream also took the burn of the meal away.
We really enjoyed all the food and were very happy with the selections we made after asking our waiter for his picks... He knows his stuff. Great value, service, atmosphere and food. Well done 😃
Absolutely love this place and it's younger and older sibling at Kenmore and Paddington.
Lived in China for many years and what a delight to find true flavours in Brisbane - at last authentic Chinese is here! Bring on the Sichuan pepper explosions!
How excited am I for this to have opened on the northside! Love the setting, great location and I really appreciate what their trying to achieve with the unique concept.
Whilst I would happily eat dumplings and sip their tea all day, it wasn't that type of visit. We came as a group and ordered all different dishes. A few of us ordered Peking duck pancakes but some had more duck than others, tasty tho. The soft shell crab (my weakness!) was extremely battered, I could barely taste the crab. One of our guests received undercooked crispy duck batter.. And to top it all off their freezer broke and did not have deep fried ice cream :(
The winning dishes of the night were the dumplings and kungpao chicken.. Followed by the "chewy and fatty" ribs.
It was overall pretty lovely - being newly opened, SBB clearly just need a bit of tweaking. I will definitely come back! Thanks Guys :)
Not sure where the negative reviews are coming from but we actually enjoyed our dinner very much there.
The customer service was great to start with, and the food was actually surprisingly pretty good. Although we did want to go across the shop to try some pizza :P (it's in the same restaurant - clever!)
Have loved the Chinese food on several visits. On our last visit we sampled the cocktails from the new bar and can absolutely recommend. We also experienced the pizza for the first time and it was very well done. Will definitely be back.
