Peters Seafood is in a great location, with amazing fish n' chips! Their potato scallops are some of the best on the Southside. Highly recommended with the friendliest customer service.
What a great little takeaway. I have always chosen Peter's Takeaway over the limited few in the area because of the simple fact it's what you expect from a fish and chip shop.
Had a burger. $6 for an awesome, tasty burger. Fresh and filling. Just a standard burger. Don't think I could finish one with the lot. But I might give it a go seeing as this one was so good. TBC.
Great place for fish and chips. The place is nothing to look at from a distance, however inside it is kept well, and really clean - I figured we were off to a good start. It is reasonably priced. A pretty good takeaway option for locals
Good!. My husband and I have been on the search for good fish and chips in our area and we've finally found it. If you want your classic fish and chips with large portions (as opposed to beer battered chips and small portions which seems to be common in the area...), this is the place to go.
Chips are good, decent portions. Fish and potato scollops are also good. I did think the calamari ring were a bit tough but we only had them because they came with the pack so I don't care haha.
Compared to what I'm used to on the bayside, the family packs are quite pricey but everything else is priced as normal so next time, we'll just order everything we want separately and it'll work out to be a little bit cheaper for us.
Definitely would recommend to people in the Carina area!
We go to this fish and chip shop every Friday as the products are so fresh and delicious. We get Cod and they are always really thick pieces and they don't skimp on the chips. The store is run by owner Peter and he always always has a smile on his face. He remembers the regulars and greets them when they walk past even if they're not coming in. The store is always clean and the salad bar and drinks fridge are always stocked. Pete's has been here for yonks and I hope it will stay. Plenty of parking along Old Cleveland Road and there's an ATM about a 50 metre walk to the east. Definitely don't go past Pete's!
We've eaten here a couple of times and always get the same thing. Each time our meals a delicious and well cooked. They're definitely consistent. The fish has a nice light crumb and the chips are great!! Lots of salt! Good portion sizes. They're pretty busy so I would recommend ordering ahead and doing a pick up.
Great prices and value for money. Also love how super friendly staff are. Plus the ability to phone and put an order for pickup in is a real throwback to my 90s childhood and its reminiscent of a time before all these faceless Ubereats apps existed.

Their calamari is cooked to perfection, as is thier fish and scallops. I literally can't fault them.

We ordered calamari and it was really fresh, not rubbery at all. We also got snapper and it wasn't as fresh unfortunately. Still, we would buy takeaway from here again to roll the dice on what the quality will turn out to be.
Have been purchasing grilled snapper, calamari and prawns from Peters Seafood every Friday for the last 3-4 years. The food is always amazing and the customer service very friendly. Would highly recommend.
Hamburger with the lot is huge and delicious. Potato Scallops/Cakes are home made and generously priced. Chips were deliciously cooked and great portions!
Best of all, very friendly staff with great smiles! 🙂
