I have been here 5 times twice for korean bbq and three times for bibim bap and the first thing i need to mention is that the atmosphere is amazing and warm. the korean bbq is good with plenty of options and a decent set up but it doesnt quiet compare to local competition. The Bibim bap is where this place really shines though and really makes the location stand out.
Mr bap always a go to for KBBQ! Meat is always fresh with excellent service for a reasonable price! Rice and kimchi and basically everything is super fresh. Would highly recommend Mr Bap over other KBBQ places in Sunnybank.
We visit this Korean BBQ restaurant last week. Phuong Tran orders a Set C ($78) which comprises generous servings of Sliced Beef, Pork Belly, Chicken Fillet, some token vegetables and a Pumpkin Omelette. She also asks for an extra platter of sliced Beef ($17).
Within minutes our red-hot charcoal is delivered with complimentary side dishes which are refillable. Watching the meats sizzling above the charcoal is a delicious sight and our relatives enjoy this DIY Korean Barbecue meal. Thank you Mr Bap!
A meal that follows you home.
After a good Korean meal the smell lingers til you wash that clothing 3 times over. The set meals ate great value and heck you cant blame the chef for not cooking your meat properly.
I was craving for a tteokbokki and decided to have it here. They were so generous to give such a big portion with a lot of fish cakes. I love fish cake. The tteokbokki was nicely cooked. It’s chewy not too soft. The sauce was also tasty.
First time visit to Mr Bap tonight and myself and my dining companion were very impressed.
Extremely prompt and friendly service followed by really good food. We got the spring rolls and dumplings for entree's and the BBQ Set A for 1-2 people and that provided an abundance of food for two hungry people. There was spicy chicken, bulgogi beef, pork belly and more!
Lovely ambiance and the staff continued to be attentive and prompt even with it being a busy night there tonight :)
I love this place! After living in South Korea, Mr Bap brings back memories. Always enjoy the bbq, pumpkin pancake and plum wine. Atmosphere is typical buzz of an Asian restaurant with service efficient. Recommend booking as it gets busy.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!
Barbecue is cheap and well prepared.
Homemade kimchi is one of best one i have ever tried in brisbane.
And the price is reasonable.
Good seating for a group of people.
Went to Mr Bap today . We had set B . The food was delicious . Tasted really good . Portion was quite big too . Will definitely go back again .
Despite having only 3.2 rating on Zomato at the time I'm writing this review, I think Mr Bap is one of the better places for Korean BBQ. Their menu reminded me of that of Maru in Brisbane CBD. We ordered set B which consists of marinated pork ribs, spicy chicken, beef skirt steak, pork belly, and we swapped beef bulgogi with ox tongue. That was $55. The set came with 3 side dishes, two individual iceberg lettuce salads and a neat basket of green oak leaf lettuce.
I have to say the pork ribs were spot on so as spicy chicken. The ox tongue was cut thickly and of good quality. Everything was well prepared and they open till early morning which makes them a great spot for a large group of friends. They are also serving alcohol. So if you enjoy Korean food with Soju or beer or both, this place is definitely worth checking out. We will surely make Mr Bap one of our regular destination.
