We used to buy from this shop constantly when prices were reasonable, currently it’s a bit costly compared to the ones outside. If I buy it outside, I can save myself a 1.50 or 2.

The wife loves buying from them, she loves the sauce and flavour.

This place has some of the best Banh mi around.. Love that you can add extra stuff too. I mean really, who wouldn't love more meat & patè. Friendly staff & it's always busy, good sign. I do wish it was open on the wkends though.

On the hunt for great banh mi around brisbane and beyond, this one Inala is one of about 5 that sells banh mi.

Your traditional velietnamese bakery, pies, sausage rolls, bread and sweet treats along with a range of banh mi.

Just ordered the traditional banh mi, price is now $5.

After a few minutes the banh mi is ready, as there was no line up.

The bread is nice and crunchy with a soft white center, the fillings is on the low side. The carrot, coriander, butter and pate all balance well. I would say a touch more butter and lightly toasted would have been full stars.

Scott's road is still rating ahead at this point.

Minh Tan Bakery makes my favourite Banh Mi. They do a variety of Banh Mi fillings but I normally go for the classic Banh Mi Thit ($4.50) with extra Vietnamese butter ($.50). I believe it is well balanced between the vegetables, meats, bread roll and that delightful Vietnamese butter. I must admit the bread roll here isn't the best I've had, but all the other aspects are excellent.

If anyone is wondering if it's worth the drive, it certainly is. There are many great foodie finds out this way, if you know where to look.

The original gangsta of banh mi in Brisbane. Any score less than a 5 is a disrespect to the cultural impact this Vietnamese bakery has had on Brisbane's multicultural food scene.

I've been going here since the mid 90s. Before westerners got used to calling it banh mi, they used to be called pork rolls. Reserved only for Vietnamese people and the westerners that dared to venture outside the egg salad sandwich. These guys have been going strong for decades are showing no signs of slowing down.

Where some places in Melbourne charge up to $8 for a banh mi, Minh Tan charges $4.50. Yet, Minh Tan is far superior, their bread is soft, crunchy, chewy. They are not stingy with their fillings, and made fresh to order. That sinfully delicious butter, pate, cold meats, salad all combine to make a satisfying roll that Subway wishes they could emulate.

Cash only so don't bother with your paywave. They have a sign saying no sunglasses and don't talk on the phone whilst ordering. They command your respect because you respect your elders.

If you're willing to venture out to Inala to get a quality banh mi, then do it otherwise you're just missing out on life. Respect history, respect Minh Tan Bakery.

PS. Their almond profiteroles are the best I've ever had and they cost $1.50 each. And I've trawled all through bakeries all over Paris.

This is best banh mi I tried so far thanks to fellow zomatoers for the info because eventhough I went to inala quite often but did not know about this place maybe because this bakery is located at the other end of the plaza which I never even passed there.
I chose the special pork banh mi (yes...i'm a pork lover). The crusty bun was excellent combine with 3 different kinds of delicious pork meats and of course fresh vietnamese vegetable made this bun truly something that you don't want to miss. I like it hot so I asked them to add some fresh chilli inside the banh mi. Amazingly yummy and I just can't wait to get another one... Joe K

Minh Tan Bakery is one of Brisbane’s best or worst kept secrets, depending on your dedication to banh mi and the circles you travel in. Having a hankering for some banh mi and recently hearing about it in conversation with someone we met (food comes up a bit), we headed to Inala. It is a little bit of a trip for city-slickers, but worth it for all else you’ll find.

No.2 of pork rolls in my list. Never had a bad pork roll here. Only thing thats lacking compared to the others is the bread, the taste of this pork roll is on par if not better in some days than the one in Darra.

We ordered the pork roll. It was not too bad. The bread was really crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I wasn't a huge fan of the meats, but it was pretty decent. And at $4.50 a roll, I'm not gonna complain.

Quick, friendly service at this plaza bakery. My family say they do the best banh mi in the area, so I gave their "The Lot" roll a go when I was in town. Not the best I've had, but still a decent roll nonetheless.

We grabbed a pork roll and a Combination roll, could hardly sort out the differences between two but both are delicious. The French rolls are crispy outside soft inside, stuffed with meat, herbs and veggie. Dun forget to add on the spicy sauce, it is superb!

This bakery has been around for many years in the Inala Plaza. They are famous for their banh mi. With a starting price of $5.50, it's one of the cheapest banh mi bakery in Brisbane. All banh mis are freshly made with a crispy roll. Their pate is what makes their banh mis stand out. While the serving size is not large, considering its price and it being freshly made, I would prefer this over any burgers from a fast-food chain restaurant. I particular enjoy having a bit of fresh chilli in my banh mis. Highly recommended.

My Wife's favourite Banh Mi in Brisbane and I have it as a top contender also. Perfect bread and Pate are the foundation of this roll of perfect balance where all flavours come together in harmony. If you want a traditional roll that will blow most competition out of the water, get here. only $5.50 each is unbelievable too.

I’m gonna keep it real with you, there is levels to the banh mi game. The moment I got my pork rolls in a special brown paper bag with unique stamps denoting the roll I knew I found it. This place is the best for price, quality. speed and flavour. They also offer unique flavours (even tofu). You’re doing yourself a favour by visiting this place. 10/10

Pretty good roll from here, maybe a bit too much pate’ for mine but the rest was of good proportions and the bread roll was lovely and crispy as well.
