Really fresh tasting delicious pizzas at a great price. The dough was perfect, with a good about of cheese and sauce on the Margherita.

For the price, their pizzas are really great! The dough was good, and their ingredients tasted really fresh and authentic. Usually for this price I can only get shredded ham on my pizza.
Best pizza place ATM! Ive never written a review but I strongly encourage everyone to try this place.Iāve been lucky enough to order one time from these guys and Iām absolutely addicted! The pizza dough is delicious and I love the fact that even when I order a large pizza it doesnāt even fit properly in the box but they donāt make it smaller. I like that it always comes in odd shapes which just says it was handmade. it is a simple pizza with the right amount of toppings and the perfect balance. Well done guys!
I've liked Carmelo's the last 5 yrs I've lived in Northcote, but I had big issues with a delivery guy who refused to come past the apartment complex entrance and was full of shit. He's gone thank god and I've started reordering last year or so, great pizza, clearly woodfired and very good base, don't normally order salmon pizza as it's hard to do properly but damned good here
Carmeloās is not just amazing food but the customer service is A1 very welcoming and friendly staff adding to the experience.
Itās a must visit if in the area for great food and quality people

All we can say is: wow.
When we visited Melbourne on a Monday we didnāt realise everything was closed! Luckily Carmeloās was open and boy were we surprised!
The pizzas offered at $19.90 for TWO traditional pizzas which are not only totally fresh and totally mouthwatering.
Vegetarian w/ no cheese:
I usually order no cheese and I feel so much lighter (and can eat more haha), the base was so light and crispy, the perfect thickness. The vegetables were fresh and the sauce and garlic touch? It married the flavours together.
Patata:
The potatoes were cooked well, the cheese was ooey gooey, the sauce, the garlic; the flavours were chosen and balanced well.
We sound like weāre being sponsored by this place but honestly, itās really worth the try because letās be honest, two large pizzas at $20? Thatās value especially if youāre getting a tasty meal.
The pietro lamb pizza had had me coming back every week. Amazing flavour and quality.. you can tell nothing it processed. The lamb is cooked fresh to order and their basil comes straight off a tree. The new management has done a great job of bringing Carmelo's back to its former glory. Great work guys
Really great, old school pizza place. The staff were lovely. The food was delicious comfort style. My steak with peppercorn sauce was just what I wanted. That sauce - creamy, peppery and flavoursome. We also had a garlic based pizza with a fresh tomato and red onion bruschetta type topping. It was popping with flavour and a had an excellent dough base, crispy, not too thick and cooked just right. And the total price was really cheap. Excellent value, easy, family dining.
I have found out that this restaurant will be re-opened next week under a new owner/management who previously made fantastic pizzas and pastas at an old restaurant! any reviews below this are from the previous owners.Ā

Without going on too much, simply the best pizzas in the area. When the service is this good, and the wood fired bases are this yummy, there isnāt much to fault. Always a perfectly customised experience everytime. The staff are 10/10 legends. I love Carmelos

Carmelos is the best pizza in the area. The owner George is always there ensuring you get quality and service. Youāre always greeted with a smile and good chat and the cost is unbeatable. Itās a venue that weāre so lucky to have within walking distance. Also the vegan cheese is incredible and the menu has something for everyone. Please give them a go! You wonāt regret it <3
